I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I had a loved one in this Facility and literally within two day of being within this place that they call a nursing home, my loved one went from being coherent to completely not knowing who I was. She also had a black eye and knot on her head to which I was told she fell. How does a FALL RISK patient fall, and you do not notify the next of kin? a black eye and knot on her head, why was she not immediately transported to the ER? I would not trust these people with my pet let alone a loved one.

This facility is horrible. I would not recommend anyone to stay at this place. A family member of mine stayed at this facility short term. The first week he was there no one cleaned the room. I complained to the head of housekeeping and a custodian came and cleaned the room and said I am so sorry I didn’t clean the room. The communication stills in this place is terrible. Some of the staff members are very unprofessional. My family member restroom was out of service for the whole three weeks he was there. I would not recommend my dog to stay in this place if I had one.

I visited this facility

Different information from staff. No consistency with knowledge concerning loved one's care. Phone rings multiple times before it is answered (20+), if answered at all, and very unprofessional greeting, ex "Hello". Rooms are not that clean. My loved one complains of very noisy staff when they are trying to rest. It is described as sounds like they are having a party in the hallway. Not sure of any activities or amenities for the community.

The lies, laziness, incompetence of the staff is just too much. Extremely poor communication between each other and family, under staffed, bad attitudes. And the only clear communication you get is your bill. Pitiful. Trying to get them to get simple things done is like trying to tackle a lion, from changing a soiled bed. Filling out simple forms or getting meds right. The worst part is the lies and the way they contradict their own lies and then swear they didn’t. I sure hope and pray the new management can fix this. People or their families do not deserve to be treated like this.

Similar to others I've visited. I used the Wii and it helped rehab be fun. I would recommend the facility to someone needing a short rehab stay.

It's been pleasant and enjoyable, most inspiring. The therapists and personnel in the gym, I couldn't ask for a better group of people. Nursing staff is excellent, I have no complaints.

Rehab is sensational. Rehab, with my limited experience, the staff is caring beyond their job. The staff goes that extra step, go out of their way, to make sure their patients aren't just physically better, but they also are concerned about the patients beyond their particular focus. You can't rate the rehab with stars. They do everything to bring you forward and I have a world of confidence in them. I love them all. No reason to doubt that I won't walk out of the facility.

Wonderful facility with a great group of employees who actually care about the residents. My mother had to have extensive rehabilitation after suffering a stroke. I visited so many facilities while she was in the hospital and I didn't care for any of them. I then received a call from the Admissions Department offering me to come and tour and saying they had a bed for my mother. It was a little further than I wanted to travel, but I'm glad I went. I had a great tour of the facility. Every employee had a smile on their face and engaged me while touring. It's an older building, but it's clean and the biggest thing is that it smells good. Not once did I smell any unpleasant odors. More than I can say about some other rehabs I visited. I chose River Pointe immediately after leaving and my mother admitted the next day. My mother loved it there! She had nothing but great things to say about the rehab department, nursing, and even enjoyed the food. She enjoyed many activities there once she could participate after a few weeks of therapy. I owe a lot to the staff at River Pointe for helping my mother get back on her feet and back to her old self. She literally walked out of that building with a smile on her face. Forever grateful for this facility and their caring staff. I highly recommend River Pointe!

My Mother was a resident at River and they did a wonderful job in therapy that she was able to return home. The staff were patient and caring. I was very impressed.
