I think Discovery Commons Virginia Beach is a great community. They're doing everything they can to get my mom acclimated. They have friendly staff who answers your questions. I like that they always notify us if something is wrong. When we met with the administrator, she couldn't have been any nicer. She gave us answers that we didn't even know how to ask. They were very informative, and I just really like them. Mom has a beautiful room. I got it all decorated for her. She's got a studio apartment with a hospital bed. We've got her TV in there, and she's got a little kitchenette. She likes it and the bathroom is very large. They provide laundry service and meal service.Their dining room is beautiful. I want to go in there myself and eat. It's very open and airy. The food is delicious. My mom has been down to the dining room, but they deliver the food to her, and I had a couple of bites of what she had, and it was really good. It's real food with nourishment. For the activities, they have bingo, crossword puzzles, and outings where they go to parks or they go shopping.

We went and visited Discovery Commons Virginia Beach. I like the layout, and I enjoyed the people that we met. They were cordial. I like the amenities that come with your rental. It's a place that me and my husband both like. The downside was that the apartments were very small. Everything was very small. We probably wouldn't go there for that reason; we needed a little bit more space than that. They're very nice, and it's a very nice place. Everyone was very pleasant. It was a nice visit. We had lunch there, and it was great. My husband had a hamburger, and that's what he wanted. I had sausage and sauerkraut. They're all well prepared and very tasty. The lady who served us was extremely nice. The building was clean. There aren't any complaints at all.

We didn't get a tour to look at the room at Discovery Commons Virginia Beach. What we did was we went into a room and we sat down and spoke with a representative. We were able to walk through the hall where they ate and where they play games. The people were friendly. It was clean. That's what I liked the best, but the least is probably the cost of it. Even though it is an assisted living, you cannot cook in the room. You have to eat your meals there. The staff was friendly, very warm, and very helpful. The residents seemed happy. It's not rundown. It's pretty well kept. It's not like brand new, but it looked like they've renovated the facility.

Discovery Commons Virginia Beach was beautiful. It was very clean and neat. The rooms were quite spacious and just very well laid out. The whole facility was very well laid out and had very nice amenities. They had a lot of activities. Tom assisted me with the tour and was very helpful and very informative.

Discovery Commons Virginia Beach was probably the nicest place that I visited. I liked everything about it. The place looked lovely. That was where my in-laws were going to go, but it wasn't going to happen for them because of my father-in-law. We couldn't separate the two at that time. It was a beautiful property. I felt that the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. It was very clean. The residents all seemed very happy. If I was going to go someplace myself, that would be what I would be looking for. The staff was well dressed. The gentleman that toured me knew all the tenants' names. He was engaged. I saw the meals and they smelled lovely. They offered everything there. You could get your hair done. They had prepared activities every day. They had onsite physical therapy.

We toured and what we liked about that place is you don't have to change apartments between levels. It was really nice. It was one of our favorites. The rooms were nice, spacious, and the amenities were outstanding. It included three meals a day and activities. They had a salon and separate laundry facilities. Tom was fantastic. We were really impressed. Everything was very well maintained. They used the same staff members on each floor, everybody was very welcoming, and the staff was really nice. The facility was very clean. The menus were fantastic.

It was a beautiful location. They have friendly staff, they're welcoming when you come in, and they have nice residents' quarters. I've checked the menu and it looked lovely. They have yoga, physical therapy, happy-hour activities, a library, a hair salon, a nice physical-therapy room, and a nice dining room. The staff during the tour was wonderful; she was phenomenal.

It was very open, and you could see lots of greenery from the outside. It was very bright, very clean, and the residents seemed very happy. The person who took us around was open to answering questions and was knowledgeable. They offer a studio with a bathroom, and walk-in shower. They have a salon, they do exercises, community activities, and holiday-based activities, but they don't offer non-ambulatory assisted living, it's ambulatory only.

It was right next to a hospital across the street. It was very clean, and the person that gave us the tour seemed very pleasant. She acted like she knew what she was doing and showed us a couple of rooms. They had a wheelchair too. The other places didn't, and my mom is struggling with a cane. We were able to knock the tour out pretty quickly, since we were rolling around from room to room. We got the tour done and are going to have the assessments done. They seemed better prepared and more capable. We toured independent living. They said that when you got to assisted living, you would not have to move. The rooms are all equipped with the same stuff, so it's the same for everybody at all levels.

My mom is moving in. It was very nice, I liked it, my aunt liked it, and my mom especially liked it. They were very conscious about the COVID situation and keeping their residents safe. That impressed us a lot.

It was the best facility we visited. It had the most beautiful dining room, and they had the menus out. The staff members were very nice, and the residents said hello in passing. It's a huge beautiful facility. The people were very friendly and very helpful. It's right around the corner from the hospital, and they had different wonderful activities for the residents.

It was very nice and a lot like a hotel. Everyone was very nice and very inviting, and the food we had was pretty average. It was easier to access. They had outside activities and in a nice area. They had a common room, a library, and a really nice dining room.

The people were very polite and nice to me. The parking situation was very bad, though. They had physical therapy there. The staff was very friendly, well-dressed, and used residents' first names. They seemed to have an active community.

I really like it. It was wonderful. In fact, my son really likes it. We went on a Sunday, so the chef showed us around. He was very sweet. Before I left, he gave me the most excellent blueberry muffin I ever put in my mouth. I didn't get to see a whole lot of people because it was Sunday, but everybody was kind. The place was sparkling clean. The room was a pretty good size, but the closet was too small.

It is exceptional. I would say it is a 5-star-type place. It was a very nice place. It was very warm and inviting. The people were very friendly, not only the staff but the residents that were there in the community too. We were welcomed by the residents even before we got into the facility. They have lots of different activities. They were in the gamut between gardening, trivia, exercise, ice cream socials, and card games.

We had a very good tour here. The facility is clean, bright, and nicely decorated, but I didn’t see anybody actually helping anyone. They’re doing bingo, games, and exercising as part of their activities.

It had an opening, and it seemed like a good fit for my friend. The staff was very friendly, very nice, and very helpful. They helped me get her moved in easily. It is very nice. She's getting excellent care there. When she pushes her little button, they come very fast. It's amazing how well it's going. The rooms are very nice. It's very comfortable, and she was able to decorate it with things from her home. The food is pretty good. They have a lot of activities going on. They have card games, they have shows, they have movies, and a happy hour. The care she's getting is so good. They respond to her so quickly, and that's what's important. In my experience with assisted living, they're about the best one I've ever run into.

It was close to my mom's doctor and everybody was very nice. It was very clean. The staff was very professional. They had exercises, movies, and games like Bingo. They have transportation services and they take residents to places, plus they have outings, they go out to dinner somewhere. My mother liked it and she was happy there. I think they did their very level best to provide my mother everything that she needed. I never ever had the impression that they didn't care or that they didn't want to have as their goal, having everything just right, so that means a lot to me. They were responsive when I complained and they did the best they could to make things right.
