The staff appears to be at most indifferent to the needs of their patients. The pricing was advertised as inclusive....just wait until the bill arrives.

We toured Brookdale Staunton, and everything looked fine, but the rooms were a little bit small. The staff was very pleasant. We saw the residents playing, doing puzzles, and watching TV. They had a library, and they did Bible studies.

We toured Brookdale Staunton. We looked at the assisted living. Everybody was extremely pleasant. They're pet friendly and cost friendly. They're just overall great. They have an amazing place for memory care, they have a nice courtyard, and they have a great family room. My son was impressed, and he's four and he's not easy to impress. The rooms were really nice. They were in the middle of repainting a few of the rooms, but they were really nice. The common dining area was definitely restaurant style, very open, and there's lots of windows. I wasn't able to try their food but I was able to smell the meal that was there and I wanted it. It smelled really good. There were so many activities. They definitely offer church activities and lots of outdoors ones, like they go on tours and check out the parks and all of that. I think what I like the most is the environment. It was very family-friendly, extremely homey, and open. That was really nice. It wasn't dark or anything. There was lots of sunlight coming in all over the building, plenty of plants everywhere, and there were paintings of plants and families. It's very nice. The staff was fantastic, too.

I had a tour of Brookdale Staunton. They had very nice people. They were informative. The place was really nice. The staff who gave the tour was very informative and gave a very nice presentation. It was a nice tour. Their rooms were nice and very well updated. It seemed like the place was well-kept. I haven't tried the food, but they had a very nice dining area. They also had nice gardens with outdoor seating areas.

We went to Brookdale Staunton's memory care unit. They were very warm. They have been very easy to talk with. They were very open. They did a lot of reaching out and letting me know about different activities that they have, as well as the different things they're doing in their community. I really didn't visit the room as much as I visited the community part, like the dining area, the garden, and their common room.

The residents at Brookdale Staunton seemed to be engaged and participating in the community. They were doing an exercise class and they were very engaged with that. There was a large turnout for that. When we first got there, there were residents in the lobby and they were kind of very aware of the surroundings and what was going on in the community. We saw a studio apartment and it was adequate. It had a nice area for a bed and an area for a recliner. They had various areas throughout the facility where you could go and sit and visit with family or friends. You don't have to do it in your bedroom area, so we liked that. They have a beauty shop, and it was the day that the beautician was in, and she had a couple of residents there working with them. It was nice to see that the residents were encouraged and they were brought to where activities were going on so that they could be engaged if they wanted to and if they didn't, they didn't have to. From what I saw, pretty much everybody wanted to be involved in the goings-on in the community. I didn't have much interaction with the staff, but from what I saw, everybody was very friendly. They said hi to us and they welcomed us into the community. They were very eager to share what their role was within the community. We only saw maybe three people, and it was very nice to see the higher functioning residents take on the role of helping the lower functioning residents and preparing the dining room for meals and that kind of stuff. It was very nice to see that.

We went to Brookdale Staunton. I wasn't there very long, but from what I saw, it seemed like there was generally a good feeling there. The residents seemed happy and peaceful. It just seemed like a kind and caring community. The staff who gave me the tour was very competent and also very compassionate. It's on a very pretty campus. There are flowers and there is like a lawn in the back, but it is up against some woods. They were talking about a deer that comes around. It's a nice kind of secluded place. It feels like it's in the country, it's not, but it feels like that. Maintenance and upkeep seemed fine. I saw one room, but it was being renovated, and of course, it didn't have any of the furnishings because you have to supply your own.

My brother will be moving into Brookdale Staunton. It looks like a very nice facility. It seems well staffed and kept clean. The rooms were wonderful. We were surprised when we went in. It was a real nice facility. I'm very impressed with it. The staff asked us about some of his hobbies and everything, and we told him that he likes to walk. She said they have a walking club. They get together every morning, so I think he would enjoy that. They also had some other activities like socializing and things like that. She really went over things with us. It's close to relatives and it's in the area basically where he grew up. The area around there is very nice. It's kind of a rural setting, which makes it kind of homey and comfortable. She went over the menu, too, and they get pretty much whatever they wanted. If there was something special that he wanted, they would try to fix it for him. That was another reason why we kind of picked Brookdale.

I had an uncle who was at Brookdale Staunton. It has been awhile since I visited, but everyone was pleasant, and he seemed to like it OK. The community seemed to be very nice, the people there seemed to be nice, and the residents seemed to be happy. They had concerts and Sunday services, so activities seemed to be going along fine. His room and his bed were always clean, and he was also clean. The staff who I knew were very nice, and the facility was always nice and clean, too.

I toured Brookdale Staunton in person. It was very nice. I had known someone who'd been there previously. The dining area was very nice. I was asked about visitation during COVID and they told me that you can have one one-on-one visiting in the cafeteria for like thirty minutes a few times a week maybe. I didn't get anything specific about the activities as they talked about different things that they did. It was a pretty quick tour. I didn't have a lot of time. It was just a little bit expensive, more than what we can afford. They were very nice and I actually knew a couple of people who worked there. I guess I give them a four. There's always something that doesn't meet my standards.

Brookdale Staunton is beautifully decorated, clean, and smells nice. The dining area is beautifully decorated and they have menus that are leather-bound like in a restaurant. They have lots of activities planned every day. The staff is super nice, helpful, and friendly. My mother has gone over a couple of times and eaten lunch there, and it's been very good.

Brookdale Staunton was wonderful, clean, and attractive. The apartments were newly renovated and everything looked inviting and cozy. The staff I observed was friendly and warm. They had balance classes, cooking classes, painting, and crafts. Everything seemed to be fine. They had transportation as well.

We visited Brookdale Staunton. It was nice, the rooms were adequate, and they do not have a kitchen facility of any kind. They're assisted living. The dining area was very clean and nice. The director of sales was quite nice, but we didn't interact with a lot of staff members. They have a bus for activities, and they go to appointments. The location is gooda and more secluded. There were deer outside the windows, and they had bird feeders out.

Overall, Brookdale Staunton is good, except that I had to remind the nursing staff on four different occasions to help my blind sister brush her teeth and wash her face after meals. The place is clean and looks nice. They did somewhat of an average job repainting my sister's walls. They left a couple of blemishes and they said they knew about it. Eventually they fixed it. The grounds for the most part are OK, but the lawn layout in front definitely needs to be kept up better. The place is right down the road from me. The pricing is a little steep and I'm not happy about it. I also think they're understaffed.

We're very pleased with Brookdale, and the care was very good. There's a huge turnover of staff for whatever reason, but they seemed to be fairly consistent in their care, so we're alright.

I was very impressed with Brookdale Staunton. The facility looked very nice. If I need a facility, I would probably live here. The apartment I saw was a one-bedroom, and it was very nice.

My husband is in Brookdale Staunton for about a month now. The scenery around it is beautiful. It has a nice location. The dining area is huge. They have bingo. I think they are understaffed.

We were happy with the rooms that they had and the activities that they had, but they did not have an opening at that time. The rooms were spacious, and several had really good views. They had very good food and a large variety on their menu, but the drawback there was having to go down the hall to the elevator to go to another floor. My mother is not that ambulatory, and I was just fearful that she would just end up in a wheelchair to be quicker.

Brookdale was good. It seemed like everybody there was happy; they had some good things to say about it. The room that I looked at has a kitchenette and bathroom. I like the setup of the dining area; it was very nice, and the menu looked fine. I thought it was very clean and new looking, even though it wasn’t. They were painting some areas, and they explained that. I didn’t meet many staff, but the woman that took me around was very friendly and nice. They had a lot of activities planned.

It was a pretty place to be. It was well put together and well appointed. They were understaffed just like every other place. Somebody could die, and they wouldn't know it, but once they get to know the client, the staff will bend towards them. They'll be friendlier and more helpful. They call me right away if something happens. They have three meals a day, and when Brookdale took over, they actually gave them more than two choices of food for dinner, but they're still serving the same old stuff.

It is better than where I was before, food wise. We have a choice of menu, like we have two entrees for the main dishes. The staff is great. The room is very nice. They have pretty much everything you want for activities. However, one negative thing I have to say is that there is not enough shopping. We get out every Monday to Wal-Mart, but it is not enough.

My father is here. I looked it on the internet and did a bunch of research. Me and my son went to check it out and we both thought it was a nice facility. The room size is nice. Dad says the food has been pretty good. The staff seemed to be extremely nice and I think this is what really drove me to choosing this place for dad. They seemed to be nice and caring. They address the residents by their names and I feel like they are treated as people instead of patients. Their dining room is very nice. It's set up like a restaurant.

I like the location and the way the place was laid out. I also like the way they treated us and the convenience that we can walk any place to get what we need and we don't need to have an automobile. The facility is also very clean.
