My Father stayed at Pheasant ridge for several weeks after a stay in the hospital for physical therapy. He very much enjoyed his stay there thanks to the friendly staff, especially his nurses. He was pleased with his very large room that gave him the ability to have several visitors at once. The cleaning staff did an excellent job making sure his room was always clean. And his physical therapist that worked with him was always very careful and patient with Dad during therapy sessions that he always enjoyed having. If Dad should need more nursing care in the future, Pheasant Ridge will be top on our list. Thanks again for all your help!

My family member was at the nursing home facility for skilled care just a few weeks ago. We had been to other facilities in the past for skilled care and this experience was by far the worst. The presentation from marketing when meeting with them before we made the decision was good, but once we arrived there were immediate issues. They had a surgical womb that needed to be cleaned and redressed daily. This did not consistently happen without me requesting and questioning staff daily. The admin and DON (Director of nursing) gave good lip service but follow through was poor. The nursing care was poor, CNAs horrible. There were several times that I was there, call buttons pushed in several rooms and staff would be eating and talking at the nursing station. I had to request that my family member be bathed because it was not being done. I had to wash them each evening that I was there because bathing to include basic self-care assistance was not done consistently. When calling the facility, there was often times no answer. My family member had 4 falls, but I was only called about 2 of them. Often, the excuse we received was that they were short staffed whenever there was an issue. After meeting with the DON, administrator and nursing managers, things did not change. Their feedback was that we were not asking for anything "unreasonable", and they would offer staff training and address the issues, but things did not change. I would NEVER use this facility again. I DO NOT suggest this facility for any reason. Poorly ran and managed.

We had to have assistance for my Father-in-law after a terrible bout with pneumonia. He lived in another stare at the time but needed to be near his Daughter in Roanoke. Mason and his team made it happen seamlessly and my father in law had the best experience and still is taking about his time there. He said the staff was friendly and very helpful. We definitely would choose them again if ever the need would arise.

My girlfriend and I came from Wisconsin and Arizona, to visit her mother and brother. Initially, after reading the reviews we had decided to try and move both of them to another facility. Luckily, we were pleasantly surprised. We arrived late Saturday evening (Oct. 8)) and did not smell any odors and it was very clean. We were there daily for 4 days, visiting not just one family member but two. We were never disappointed. The staff was outstanding. We had to make a lot of financial and medical decisions and the staff was understanding and compassionate. We are very happy with the treatment our family members are receiving and would recommend this facility to anyone.
