I want to say how amazing Lakewood has been over the last few weeks. Their safety precautions and restrictions were early and on target, and they have made life in the community pleasant and easy for residents who are self-isolating. My mum's meals are delivered as desired, residents have gotten beautiful free breakfast bags this week, and groceries can be delivered to the security gate and brought up to the residents. Exercise classes - her favorite - have been on the Lakewood TV, so she hasn't had to miss class. Thanks to the excellent management team at Lakewood and Lifespire for the confidence you give me and my family and the care and consideration for our mum!

Lakewood was very impressive. Unfortunately, it was during COVID, so we didn't get to tour the living facilities. They had just finished renovations. Their staff was really pleasant and nice. I even put a deposit down there. That's a buy-in, and I would love to go there, but they're a little bit more expensive than I can handle. They have two meals a day, which are lunch and dinner. They had two or three restaurant-type things. They had their main dining room, which was like restaurant service. Then they had a bistro, a private dining room, and they had a snack shop. All the amenities were great. One of the things I like was it has Life Care. They have good exercise equipment, a pool, medical facilities onsite, transportation to medical appointments within limits, nice lounge areas, and a library.

I toured Lakewood two years ago. We really liked it. My parents just couldn't afford it because they had to buy-in. You had to pretty much sell your property or use all your assets to put money down. It's almost like you're buying a house. It was a beautiful property. They had nice putt-putt areas, a walking trail, an indoor pool, and a garden area. It was a place I would love to be for myself. It was a nice facility. They even had individual houses that you could start off in, but we also liked the apartments. They had a nice cafeteria, and the food looked good.

We went to Lakewood and toured that, but we're not too comfortable in it. The apartments were a little bit smaller than the other place, although they have a wide variety of them. Some were bigger, some were smaller, but the ones we were pre-qualified for were a little bit smaller. The staff was fine.

I'll be moving to Lakewood Manor in two years when the new building is done. It was wonderful. They have a large community with over 200 residents, including single homes and apartments, and they're working on some new construction, which is what I'll be in. It is continuing care. Most are apartment-type units and there are different sizes available. They have many different activities. It's a faith community, specifically Baptist. The food is excellent and the facility is excellent. I've put down a 10% deposit and I will move in within 2 to 2-1/2 years.

Lakewood Manor is beautiful if you can afford it, and they have all the whole works. It would be a wonderful place to spend the time. We only talked with the sales manager; they were very courteous, and I was very impressed with their hospitality. I have several friends who live there who speak very highly of it. The location itself is beautiful, with beautiful and extremely well-kept grounds. It's a first class operation -- no two ways about it. One thing that bothers me is that they are a Baptist-affiliated facility, and they claim to be non-profit, but for what they charge, I have a hard time believing that.

I did visit Lakewood Manor, and the place was very nice. The people were nice as well. The activities looked very good too. I was looking at a two-bedroom apartment; it was not very big, but it was very nice. The person was extremely helpful in taking the time to discuss the different options. She gave me a lot of advice. I would definitely give this facility a high rating.

Lakewood Manor was an independent, assisted, and memory care facility. It was one that my mom knew about. I liked how clean and how detailed everything was. The staff was interacting with the residents. I liked the numbers of the activities that they had. I liked their dining option. Also, I liked just how well it looked as far as care and cleanliness. It looked like they pay attention, and they updated it regularly. They had outings to grocery stores or shopping centers. They also had activities to conferences and different happenings in different places. They provided transportations to doctors' appointments. They had a newsletter that they published, and they had activities listed throughout the facility depending on which section you were in. The rooms were very nice and well kept. They redo them when the residents left. That motion captors in them and the latest energy efficient appliances. The surrounding was very nice and green, and it was quiet. They had benches that were on the path. When you went walking, you could stop and sit outside if you wanted. It had lots of open space.

My mother and dad looked into Lakewood Manor, they liked what was offered plus the fact that many of their friends were already there, so they moved. I have to say that they never regretted the move for a minute. They liked the fact that everything would be taken care of, they would be living in a pleasant atmosphere, without the unpleasant dutes of housekeeping and maintenance. They often invited us to join them for delicious meals in the dining room, and their card-playing and other entertainment took up most of their time. They found that meeting and making friends with similar interests was easy to do. Lakewood's location was near to several shopping areas, and they were lucky to have many grandchildren who lived nearby. When dad passed away, we found nine golf putters in the hall closet. If you are looking for a wonderful place for yourself or family, don't overlook Lakewood.

Lakewood offers a warm and inviting atmosphere for my Mom. She was living on her own before she moved to Lakewood and having trouble keeping up her house. She has a nice single family home at Lakewood at an affordable price and they take care of all of the maintenance! If you are shopping for senior housing on Richmond's West End I would highly recommend checking out Lakewood.

My friend recently moved to Lakewood Manor. I went there one time with another friend who was looking for a place. We went together when we had an invitation for sort of an open house kind of thing. The main thing I remember about that visit was that the rooms were huge. I remember we both said if we are going here to downsize, it's not that much of a downside. It is a beautiful place. They have homes that you can buy too.
