My father was at Vitality West End Richmond. The staff was very kind and professional. They had a nice physical therapist, and they did a pretty good job with the intake. Overall, I would say it's a place worth visiting. The facility was very nice, very clean, and updated. The dining room was nice. They had a nice movie room. The physical therapy gym was nice. Everything was very clean, updated, and really good. They did have activities available to people. They're all expensive, but I think they've provided a lot of services. It was a nice place and they offered a lot.

My experience with Vitality West End Richmond was fine. The staff showed me all the things they had to offer, and it all looked good. The director walked me around, and she seemed fine. They have studios there. They showed me the dining area, the physical therapy-type exercise area, the lounge area with TV, and an area with activities for the people.

My main concern with Vitality West End Richmond is that Mom would be on the third floor, and she wants to be on the first floor. She is scared that if they have a fire, she can't get out, so that's my main concern. The staff who gave the tour was very nice. But I was not impressed with the place because when I walked into the room, the paint on the refrigerator was peeling off. It was terrible. And the room is smaller than what Mom is in now.

Vitality Living West End in Richmond started out ok but this year has hit rock bottom. Some staff are wonderful but management is a revolving door. They are understaffed with unfilled positions. Why is a med tech having to give residents a shower or clean rooms? They have issues with bed bugs & ants. They do not allow cameras in rooms. What are they afraid family members will see? The elevator breaks down every month. The food in memory care is substandard to the assisted living floor. If I were you, I’d cross Vitality off your list.

We chose Vitality West End Richmond for my mother because the staff was friendly and approachable, and the price was reasonable. The facility itself looks nice, and her room is nice. She has a bedroom and a living room, and they have some furniture. So, she feels more comfortable and at home with it. They offer different activities for her to be involved in throughout the week and they encourage her to be around others. They do chair exercises and bingo. They have a theater room where they can watch movies. They do puzzles, arts, and crafts. They have the opportunity to get their hair and nails done. The staff is very nice and appears to be very outgoing. My only concern is the actual follow-up because I'm having to call more than once to make sure things are done. They followed through and did what they said. But right now, I'm having trouble following up with people, so I don't feel like I'm getting my money's worth.

I liked the location of Vitality West End Richmond and I liked their facilities. The apartment that I saw had a refrigerator. They had a gym, outdoor spaces, and balconies. Three meals were included in the price. The staff who gave me the tour was very nice.

Vitality West End Richmond was a great facility. All the staff were very very helpful and patient. They were incredibly nice and empathetic. The rooms were also nice and very accommodating with everything. Everywhere looked great. We saw all types of levels, like people that were in wheelchairs or walkers or walking normally. Their workout facilities and activities were great. All around, it was nice.

Vitality West End Richmond was very neat and clean. All the staff that I met were very friendly. They wanted to interact with me and make sure I understood how they work with the residents. They were doing "On This Day in History," which I thought was really neat and interesting. The gentleman that was doing it had cards that told what happened in the past, like on Thursday when I was there, what was happening that day in history. Some of the residents were chiming in and giving their input. The rooms were really nice and really clean. You could fix the room to suit your loved one, which made it nice. It's not like they put stuff in there and you're just stuck with it. They said you could fix it the way you wanted, to make your loved one feel comfortable. The staff was real friendly. They all asked me if I had any questions for them, that they were more than willing to answer any of my questions. They were very involved in trying to make you feel welcome, so you could get a feel for how your loved one would be while they were there. They would feel like it's at home. The lady was telling me different activities they have. She showed me an activity calendar and they try to keep the residents active, because that also helps keep them working their mind and their brain. The dining area was nice, neat, clean, and organized. The staff was preparing the tables for lunch because they go to lunch at 12:00. Even the staff that was preparing would stop and greet me and tell me they hoped that I would choose there, that they cater to the residents, so that was a good one. I was very impressed. They could accommodate pretty much every level that there is.

This was our first tour and we enjoyed meeting with the Sales Manager who answered all of our many questions. She definitely eased many of my concerns about the tough decisions that must be made. I loved the genuine interaction between the staff and residents. The facility seemed homey and clean with a lot of activities to choose from. We didn't like that a resident sitting area was literally at the front door. We also didn't like that the residents could not lock their doors. We are looking for something a little closer to our home but Vitality is definitely still on our short list.

Vitality West End Richmond had a beautiful campus and a beautiful lobby. The public areas were beautiful and very clean, with no odors. The rooms were larger and more accommodating. The staff was excellent, knowledgeable, and helpful. The dining area was beautiful and clean. They have a full schedule of activities. They had residents actively involved in activities. I like that they have a barbershop.

My mother moved to Vitality West End Richmond. I was very impressed with the facility itself and the staff that I saw. They seemed to have adequate staff and they're individually helping people as needed. I was there for three visits before I decided. The room is a decent size, she has a private bathroom although the showers are not in any of the rooms. They have some activities, though they don't have as many activities on the weekend as they do during the weekday, they still have ample staff. They seem to be very organized with the food. I don't eat there, but my mother hasn't lost any weight.

My mother has moved into Vitality West End Richmond. I had visited it once before for my mother-in-law and I liked it that time. Going back there, I was already somewhat familiar with that. We had the chance to meet with the executive director. She was really helpful and had a lot of good input into my mom's situation. The place is very clean. It's quite lovely. The apartment we ended up getting her is a good size, smaller than what her previous apartment was when she was independent, but it's still a one-bedroom and she has her own bathroom and a nice-sized living room. It had been recently carpeted and painted, so it was in really good shape. It has four big beautiful windows that let in great light. They have a lot of activities every day. There were at least five or six things to choose from. When we were there visiting and then also every time I've been back, I've seen half a dozen to as many as 20 people participating in activities. The menu seemed good. It was beyond basic. It had some nice touches to it. She is eating three meals a day there, so that was going to be a big shift for her. The cost came into consideration a little bit just because we did see at least one other place that we had been referred to that we liked very much, but it was probably $2000 more a month and it wasn't justified in terms of what we were going to get. People have been very nice and friendly when you walk in. There are rockers out front and people are pretty much always sitting there, chitchatting. They have such a nice variety of things and opportunities and it's clean. It was not cheap though.

The one I liked the best was Vitality West End Richmond. The one problem I have is the fee that they make you pay that's non-refundable. The staff seemed very friendly. The guy that showed us around was very friendly and the people that lived there seemed happy. It seemed clean. It was not as expensive as some of the other ones, so that was a plus except for the deposit, but they told me if that was going to hold me back from putting my parents in there, that they would work with me on that. I don't exactly know what that meant because we didn't take those measures yet. At that time, my dad was really bad off with his dementia. I was going to have to put both of my parents in there, so that was going to be very costly. I didn't see any problem with the staff. They had a social hall and they were doing activities with them.

I love our tour at Vitality West End Richmond, it was outstanding. We were able to go inside the rooms, they had an empty room that they were redoing. It was nice. The library was nice and they were having a sing-along and the interaction with the residents was awesome. They have more amenities than the other place we toured, they had an art club, game room, music room, and all that. I didn't have food there but I like the menu and all the different selections that they have. The place smelled fresh and they were constantly looking like they were cleaning. We saw an outdoor area that was enclosed and a family room where families can go and sit together. They had keypads at the door to gain access, and there appear to be more staff than in the other place. I like that they had an abundance of staff there and that the population was a little more diverse.

Vitality West End Richmond was very nice. What they were offering for what we were looking for would've been a good match. It's just beyond mom's monetary needs. They showed me one of the rooms and it was like a little efficiency room that would've been perfect for my mother. They have some little electronic games on TV that she could do and physical exercise and classes and things like that, that would keep her moving, and that would've been good. The grounds were nice. It wasn't real large, but it would've been good. She could've gotten out and walked around through the garden. The rooms were efficient. The one we looked at had a walk-in shower and a seat, a small kitchenette type thing, a small microwave, and a small refrigerator. It had a small seating area and then a bed. It was an efficiency-type apartment, like a college dorm type of thing almost. I met one lady and she was very informative and gave me the information that I needed.

The Vitality West End Richmond facility was very clean and very orderly. I probably met four to five staff members, and they all seemed to be very friendly and helpful. I got to interact a little bit with a couple of residents there, and they all seemed to be very happy. I was very impressed when I saw their menu selection, how they have two choices for entrees, for both lunch and dinner, and then if the resident doesn't like either one of the two entrees that are offered, they always have something they can get, like a salad or other things that they can choose from. I saw a studio apartment, and my only downside was that the studio apartment that I saw was pretty small compared to some of the others I had seen. The staff was extremely friendly. I've had a couple of phone calls, a couple of emails, and I really feel like they go beyond their way to help you and work with you.

I had an in-person tour of Vitality West End Richmond. I liked their secured assisted living. If a person needs memory care, you don't want them in a memory care facility where the people are inactive (versus people that are still active but need memory care). I liked the fact that they offer both. The facility was clean and looked like they had a lot of activities going on in both areas. The people were very friendly and very thorough with information. I'm just satisfied with the whole presentation of their facility. I saw the assisted living people doing movie time together, and a lot of art activities that they had done. The memory care people were engaged in a hot topic memory game that allowed them to finish the sentence or a phrase, so they were all very engaged. And the people seemed to be happy and very friendly as we walked the halls. Even the residents spoke and waved. There was a courtyard. They have a bus for field trips. I liked the art rooms.

I toured Vitality Living West End Richmond for my father, and that was actually one of my favorites. I liked it a lot. I met with Lauren, who was the director. I thought she was great, very helpful, and very professional. I thought she was a great representative of the facility. That was one of the facilities that I felt where if I needed to be somewhere in my old age, I would feel comfortable there. When I was there for my tour, on the assisted living side, not the memory care side, they were just wrapping up with the exercises. So, I could say that they have people there that are focused on their physical health or physical well-being as well. I thought the facility was nice and was well kept. The people were friendly. They had different types of rooms, too. They had single rooms, and they also had options for a companion suite for a person who shares the room. This is the only place, though, that I toured where they did not have the showers in the room. There was a room, a toilet, and a sink, and still nice rooms, but the showers were communal showers. They have a reason for doing it. It was more for safety reasons of the residents, so that the residents weren't trying to do something on their own and hurting themselves. I understood that, but for me, my father is not at that point. He could handle having a shower in his own room. They had someone that would come in for grooming, like a barber beautician. They had at least a little area where they could take a walk around the facility. They had a common area where there were multiple things that they could do, like group activities if they wanted to.

What I like best about Vitality West End Richmond is that it's a small and intimate place. I got the chance to talk to the residents, and they all spoke very glowingly of the place. What I liked least is that the dining room wasn't all that great. The facilities seem equal to the other one we visited, but the price is $1,500 less. They seem to have an excellent staff to resident ratio. I like that they have an excellent exercise program. The place is very good and very neat.

I visited Vitality West End Richmond, and it was really clean. Everybody was really nice. When we went there, they were getting ready to have supper, and they also fixed us meals to go, and the food was very good. The room that they showed my dad was very nice, very clean, and I think it would fit him just nicely. The one who assisted me was super nice. I can't remember her name, but she was really nice, and very helpful.

I moved my mother into Vitality West End Richmond. The people were really nice, and the staff was really nice. They're really good at what they do. They're warm, and they actually care for the people (not like in other places where they only care about the money). The staff is very good. My mother likes the food. They have cocktail parties, field trips, take walks, do gardening, and they play bingo. Another reason I picked it because it has lots of woods and paths.

My friend is going to go to Vitality Living West End. We visited the assisted living and they even educated us about memory care, which eventually, she will need. It was very nice. Everyone there was just very friendly, answered questions, and was very patient. The place was very clean, they showed all the amenities, and the different things that my friend could do there. They have a beautiful outdoor park to walk in, and it's just a great place for her. We didn't have a meal, but we had some cookies and hot tea. We also weren't there during mealtime, but they invited us to come back for lunch. They also gave us a list of the activities. My friend is a quiet person and she was very interested in the garden and the library. They have a very nice library there. We were really impressed with Elena, she is just a fantastic person. Also, her boss there, Laura, called us and checked on us, and that impressed us.

It was a very nice, professional, clean and beautiful home. The staff member that accommodated me during the visit was very informative. What I saw of the place was clean and neat, and the staff was doing the best they could depending on the needs of their patients. I went there to see their memory care and they had several things available. I'm just not sure if it's the right place for my mother-in-law. Some of their activities include puzzles and games; I saw the staff engaging with the residents.

We were very impressed it's very bright and clean. The residents seemed to be fine and the staff was very helpful. The person who gave us the tour spent a lot of time with us and she was very thorough in explaining things to us. The rooms seemed to be very nice, so we're definitely considering moving Mom there. We also liked the location.

I like it very much. The people were very nice. Everything I saw looked very nice. The sizes of the rooms were very nice. The place is very close, so I'm keeping an open mind. The staff member who assisted me was very nice; she was very good. The place was very nice. The amenities were about the same; they have common areas too. I enjoyed going out to here because it was so nice.

It was quite nice. It was bright and light. You could bring some of your pieces of furniture, and it was very nice. I ate there, and the meals were delicious and well prepared. The staff was really efficient in getting us what we were interested in, they took us to see that, and then they had a meal prepared for us. They were nice and very professional. Everything was just as clean as it could be, and I saw nothing out of the ordinary. They had activities going, like, you could go to places for different things. They had a beauty parlor for the residents, a barber shop, exercise machines, and snack bars. They had planned activities for the month. They had a bus on the premises to take them to places. When you come in through the door, it was a high ceiling, and it was very elaborate looking. I thought that it was going to be expensive, but it wasn't.

It was our second runner up. We were mainly looking for a place that was close to me, as he is a mile away and that has made all the difference. The place is very nice and clean, and the people were nice too. The only reason we picked a different one for my dad was it was a little bit closer and the percentage of men was lower, as we just thought that if he had more people to interact with he might find people of likeness. Older people still like to find something in common with someone else. I didn’t eat anything there, but they offered a lot. I can’t say much more than that. The rooms are very nice, though it’s smaller than what he wanted.

I thought the facilities were clean. The food looked fantastic. The staff couldn’t have been better. They allowed pets. They had everything I wanted. They were very close to the interstate so that I could be able to visit my mother easily. That was a plus. They had a number of activities including that Mom could do dress up and get involved with various plays and activities. It had arts and crafts, and they allowed her to keep her pets. They were my second choice.
