Absolutely terrible skills, ethics and interest in the patients. My 86 year old father in law was transferred there from Salisbury 6 days ago for physical therapy rehab after head trauma. He was walking multiple times a day in the Salisbury hospital. However, the staff at here makes him lay in bed all day and he has yet to see a physical therapist. When questioned the staff didn't know that he was walking in Salisbury. They take a long time to answer his calls, respond slowly after they do talk to him. His daughter notice he was bleeding and he said they had catharized him (which was prohibited by the Salisbury hospital). One of his sons saw the Catheterization package in the waste basket. When questioned staff denied it and it wasn't written on his chart. Staff spends much time outside smoking and texting on their phones instead of attending to the patients. At 86 he is getting weaker due to leadership and staff's actions (or inactions).

Come from out of state over 1000 miles and no one answered the phone. Limited to 20 minutes visiting and could not get an appointment for Friday or the weekend. Asked to talk to person in charge of Nursing Home and no one would talk to me or call me. My brother in law is very depressed as he can't leave even though everyone is vaccinated. Cant eat in the dining room as they have to stay in their rooms. This place is worse than being in jail!!!!

I could not find a nurse in Accomack County Nursing Home (Shore Lifecare). The people were walking around with their night gowns opened on the back, and they were people calling for the nurses to have their diapers changed. It was a nice modern facility, but there were no nurses when I was there.

I went once to Shore Life Care. The staff is not too bad. The room was not too big but it was OK. They had a church service when I went there.
