We found Lake Taylor services and staff very helpful during my mother in law’s stay! Particularly the physical therapist- they truly worked with her to increase her mobility! We recommend Lake Taylor over others rehab places in the area! The room was bright and “fresh “ - she enjoyed talking with the CNAs - as they paid a lot of attention to her. She even loved the food! We had her beautician come in to do her hair - but they have the service on site .

My mother was in for about 40 days. Not once did anyone volunteer medical information. Katrina was sarcastic and lazy with an attitude. She starts to clean up a patient and then walks out while they are in an embarrassing position. Most people there were friendly. Front desk was always friendly. The day my mom was discharged Katrina did not have her ready and I had to get her from the bed to the wheelchair. I definitely put a complaint in. Didnt always provide the correct diet (too many carbs) for a diabetic but neither does the hospitals. One person can make the whole place look bad. Not sure why she is still there. No compassion and very unfriendly. Wendy was very nice and thoughtful and almost everyone one else was. Hopefully Katrina won't be there long.

This place concerns me. The nurses are very unpleasant and unprofessional. They are very rude when calling to schedule a visit and they approach you like you are visiting a prisoner as if they don’t want you visiting. The patient is treated like an occupant of a bed. No real interaction or plan for rehabilitation.

My father was admitted there. We were originally thrilled because we had never had bad experiences there and have several family members there throughout the years. This time.... medical and therapy updates were hard to get. We asked on multiple occasions to multiple people for multiple days for updates and they were very few and far between. My dad was suffering memory issues so he couldn’t always tell us what was happening. They demanded 1 on 1 sitters, at our personal expense, within 15 hours of his arrival. They gave me the impression that if we did not provide the sitters, they would not be able to care for my father. They also give mixed directions to families about care of laundry for the patients. ( A small thing but it left my father with no clean laundry and dirty laundry piled in the corner of his room.)

This is the worst place Ever to send your Love one My Dad has no mobility at all and he is totally dependent on the Staff that’s there which sucks because majority of the Cna’s don’t care about the patient and don’t do their job! My Dad is in isolation due to a infection he has & he also has a trache & is currently on the Ventilator My dad was literally in his room choking could not breathe his bell was going off if it wasn’t for a RT walking by my Dad would not be here 😢My Dad has Als and was sent to this Horrible place by his wife!!! The staff there is horrible!!! I wouldn’t recommend no one to send their Love one there!!! I wish I could’ve rated this place a 0.........

I would give this place zero stars. A relative insisted my father stay there so he did. The first time when he was in rehab from surgery was not so bad. However the second time he went back because he couldn't be taken well care of at home, he stayed indefinitely, as in he never came home. He passed there a while ago, from a blood infection. No one ever took care of him changed his clothes/depends, and he kept getting infections and losing weight, which probably killed him. No one bothered to take him to the bathroom. All he did was sleep and barely eat. This place should be shut down. Either that or fire all the incompetent staff. If it were up to me I would sue. Do yourself a favor, and do not let any loved one go to this place!

So far things are bad. 14 hours with no pain meds. Crying out with pain. Hurting so bad that nauseous. The call button is useless as no one comes. Drs don't seem to care your in pain let's give you Tylenol. I could get that at home. Haven't been able to eat. To nauseous from the pain. Don't send your loved ones here.

My mother was in Lake Taylor for rehab after an operation. I found the staff to be adequate at best. There seemed to be a culture of indifference. I now have another relative in the facility. She is unable to walk and cannot look after herself. God help her because the staff certainly won't. She was on the floor for 15 minutes before a visiting nurse responded to her cries for help. My impression is that there is a culture that encourages the minimum that is required. No one seems to want to take responsibility for the welfare of the patients. "I'll get someone" is the most common response I get to any question or concern. "Someone" rarely appears. I seldom see staff smile or chat with the patients. Health care workers have a difficult job, and I truly believe that the lack luster culture that has developed in this hospital could be changed with better training and higher expectations.

Very poor nursing care for those with no mobility. If you can't take care of yourself, they do a poor job taking care of you. It appears clean but this is deceptive- my mother picked up lice after at 9 week stay. Communication is extremely poor. The nurses seem more interested in gabbing at the front desk rather than actually tending to the patients. If you have a friend or family member that is unlucky enough to end up here make sure you stay on top of all that is going on. Do not assume the staff there actively take care of anything- they are passive unless pushed.

Lake Taylor Rehab was recommended to my father by a friend. He was in a new wing the first time he was there and it was very nice. The staff was very friendly and the layout was very nice. You could access the staff freely and get assistance, ask questions, get updates, and so forth. The second time we had to stay there, he was placed in the old wing. The staff was unapproachable and the layout of the room was not very good. It was just not a positive experience. He went over the menu with the head of the kitchen staff and explained to them that he had stomach problems and couldn't eat normal foods like gravy, but they continued to serve it to him. My father looked like he had been in a concentration camp by the time we left there.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. My grandmother really liked it there. The food was hot, and most of the staff would go above and beyond to make the resident feel comfortable. There was a nice garden to enjoy, and several rooms for activities such as card playing. The only thing that I wish was different, was the fact that there was smoking allowed right by the front entrance, and every time I would go visit her I had to walk into a cloud of smoke. There was also a rehab and workout facility provided.

This facility is a horrible place. Not only is it dark and dirty, they seem obsessed with milking every dollar out of your insurance before they discharge you. Once my mother checked herself out because they were not doing anything we couldn't do at home, they insist in therapists and nurses coming to the house. All they do is talk and fill out forms so they can get paid. They let you lay on the bathroom floor for hours when you fall and pull the emergency help cord. Everybody there likes to tell you whatever you need is not their job." It took us over an hour to find a nurse one day. They poorly mange bed sores. My friend's mother went in with one the size of a quarter and left with one the size and depth of a soccer ball! She ended up be taken to the hospital due to nearly fatal dehydration. In short, the do the BARE MINIMUM to keep the insurance money coming in. They seem to have no inerest in the well-being of the patients there at all.
