My mom has moved in. Everything has gone very smoothly. Everybody's been very efficient, and my mom had been treated very well. Everybody's very polite at the facility. It's quite comprehensive. The facility is fairly new, I think in the last two years, so it looks very new, nothing's dated. Her room is very bright. The finishings in the room are higher end. She's got a little kitchen, with a nice, hard-surface counter. The amenities in the bathroom were nice, and the space is efficiently used. There's a pocket door to go to the bathroom, which leaves a wide entry, and then the door doesn't get in the way. There's a movie theater, a beauty salon, and a lot of activity rooms. It's just bright and airy and has a gorgeous view looking over the reservoir. My mom is in love with the food. She's met the chefs, talked with them, and she has just been so happy to not have to cook her own meals. She's enjoyed all of the food, and there's a menu that she can pick from. She gets a calendar weekly with all the different activities, and she started participating in them in her first week there.

I toured for my father. The tour was nice. The first person I met with was the activity director. She was bubbly, fun, and enthusiastic about providing entertainment and fun for the residents to be creative. I got to see the memory care, and one of the rooms. I also met with the director. She also took me downstairs where they would bring in bands for entertainment. They also have their "pub," their bar where they have mock beer or mocktails. It's a beautiful place, and the view is beautiful. I saw one room because they only had one room available. That was a companion room, so you walked into the the main room that brings you into the suite. And then you walk into the room, to the left and then to the right, and then they share a bath. What I didn't like about that is that the rooms did not have his own separate room. It's only the main room that will let you into the suite. They had other rooms at the time of my visit, like the single rooms, but all the other rooms were booked. They just showed me what was available at the time. The place was modern, light, bright, and airy. There's sunshine because there's so many windows, and you get some sunshine coming in. The memory care is upstairs. There was a terrace there that faces the waters so you can see the waters. It was beautiful. You have a water view, you can see a dock, and everything is very peaceful. They have a common area on that floor, and an activities calendar.

I went to visit, and my mother will be moving in there. It was very handy for me. It's probably 10 minutes from my home. It's very warm and inviting when you go in, the way it's laid out, it's laid out very well for seniors. It's just got a pocket door for the bathroom, so she doesn't have to maneuver her walker around the door. The showers are built strictly for rollers rolling in in a wheelchair or in a walker, which is very handy for her. She has her own window bunk that looks out over the lawn and all the rooms have a view of some description, which is nice. It's just lovely there. I thought the persons that I worked with thus far, which have been strictly the sales and marketing people, have been very nice. The building is beautiful, it's awesome.

My dad has been here for a couple of weeks now. They are amazing. I felt very comfortable every time I went in. The facility is beautiful, and I feel that they made me and my dad feel safe. He is being taken care of. I'm in contact with them most of the time if there's any issues because my dad is in his mid to last stages of Alzheimer's. I am very pleased with the services that they offer. They have exercises and activities for my dad. The place itself is beautiful. My dad's room is very comfortable. When he first walked in, he said, "Wow, this place is really nice. Whoever's room this is, it's really nice." I had set it up before he got there. They keep it very clean. They adhere to all the protocols. I've watched them with other memory care residents, how they redirect, and they do it in a caring and professional manner (which is something that me and my mom would not). We didn't know how to care for my dad in that manner, where he can move forward with his life having Alzheimer's. They even let me know that he has a new friend, which is great. I feel like it's a better atmosphere for him, as opposed to being secluded in the house and not being able to really do things and go anywhere. The food is awesome. They have a five star chef, and my dad does not complain about that. When we first brought him there, he ate the food and he said it's so good and amazing. That won him over really quickly because he eats all the time. They have three square meals a day, and I provide him with snacks. As of right now for the first three weeks, I have no complaints at all. It's a hard decision to place my dad in a facility. They made us feel really comfortable going there and speaking to them. I didn't want him to leave the house, but they really helped us. My mom and I feel like this was the perfect place for him.
