The Fairmont by Barclay House had shopping and everything that they would do for me if I couldn't do it. They were really helpful. It's a nice place, but I don't think I can afford it without the other subsidy coming in and it's just too far. The staff was wonderful. They touched base with everything I needed and the amenities that were there. They are very friendly. They introduced me to a lot of the staff. The lady I had an appointment with was sick that day, but the supervisor was there. I was supposed to have lunch with them but I couldn't. They gave me some treats, though, and then they gave me a kind of a welcome cup and stuff. So, they were nice. I enjoyed the visit. They have games, Bible study (and they also told me about the chapel), a salon to do your hair, and 24/7 on call in case I fall in the apartment. They have a library and washers and dryers on the same floor. They introduced me to housekeeping and it was great. They gave me a folder of some things about the government/VA deal. They gave me a packet of information so I could give it to my daughter because they're the ones who handle my finances. They have an available studio apartment, but I need a bigger place.

I was able to visit my friend who is staying here. Overall, it's a nice facility, and the staff is very nice. He has his own apartment, and it is a 1-bedroom apartment. They have a big dining room. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I saw people in the lobby doing exercises, bingo, and those type of things.

It was very nice and like a resort. I was very impressed by the amenities, facilities, and the staff who were all very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They were open with the information and the questions that we asked. The apartments were very nice. The one-bedroom seemed to be sufficient, but, if possible, we want to put my mother-in-law in something larger. We wish it was closer to where we live. The grounds were very nice.

It was very clean, and the people there were very helpful. The rooms were very open, accessible, clean, and had all the needs we were looking for. I enjoyed the fact that the people there were readily available and helpful as soon as we walked through the door.

It was a very nice facility. It was open and bright. All the people I saw interacting with the tour guide that I had seemed really happy there. The tour guide seemed to know all their likes and dislikes, and it was all very personal. The apartments seemed nice and adequate. I was very impressed by it.

It was a nice place, but a little distant from where I live, and it would be hard to visit my daughter too often. However, the people and the programs seemed much better there than anything else we've seen. They had things set up, so they could take the residents shopping and to movies, and they had three films a week in the facility. They had a lot of other activities and clubs there. They're a lot better than other places, and the food seemed to be very good. They had studios and one-bedrooms.

It's beautiful, and the staff's friendliness are the things that I liked about The Fairmont. It's independent living, so they don’t really provide assisted care; that is why it didn’t fit our needs.
