We've been here at Runk and Pratt at Liberty Ridge. I enjoy it very much. The people are very helpful. The food is mediocre, but it's getting a little better, but the people are excellent and very friendly. Everybody seemingly wants to help you. They have lots of activities every day, lots of things to do and places to go. They provide the bus, free transportation and take you out to restaurants and other interesting places. They have game rooms, exercise rooms, and gym rooms. They have a theater here, we have a couple of movies every week, good movies. They have a billiard table. It's a very, very nice facility. All private rooms, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, they all have a stacked washer and dryer, most of them have a balcony. They have game rooms, exercise rooms, and gym rooms. They have a theater here, we have a couple of movies every week, good movies. They have a billiard table. They have a beautiful view sitting on the balcony, very roomy apartments. We're paying for what we get here. So it's very high priced, but very high value also. It's like living in a five-star hotel. It's first class in all of the facilities, activities, and the appearance is simply beautiful. We're up on top of the mountain, we have a great view up here. It's just beautiful to look out over the entire city of Lynchburg at night when the lights are on, a very beautiful sight. They have a special room, a very beautiful room that's reserved primarily for chapel services. We have chapel activities every day. They invite pastors locally to come in and speak, so they're giving the spiritual emphasis here. You couldn't ask for better and more opportunities for spiritual growth and true worship than a place like this. They put a lot of time and activity into making the chapel services available at different times of the day, every day of the week.

My father stayed at Runk & Pratt at Liberty Ridge. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. There was no communication. They were of a different language, and they couldn't communicate with my father, and my father couldn't communicate with them. They didn't speak English at all. He moved in on Wednesday, fell in the bathroom on Friday, and they didn't report it. He was there till the next week because they acted like nothing was wrong with him, but he dislocated his toe and the bone was sticking out. And finally, the wound care that came in suggested he go to the emergency room. The facility was clean. The location, as far as him going into his meals and everything, was good. My father has a small room. He has a bed, a chair, a TV, and a little refrigerator. They offered lunch, and it was good. They need to improve their communication. When my father first went in, he couldn't get his cane behind the rod in the bathroom to get himself up; that's why he failed and bruised his hand the first time.

We toured at Runk and Pratt at Liberty Ridge. I liked everything I saw. The staff was top-notch. The rooms were adequate, clean, and well-cared for. The building was in good shape and well-maintained. They have a patio and courtyard. They were quite adequate.

Runk and Pratt at Liberty Ridge was fairly new. It was bright with a light color palette. They had several different-size apartments to choose from. It had a welcoming atmosphere. However, my husband said it was too big and confusing. We only met the one person who showed us through. He was a very young man and I'm not sure he was very experienced. The place was very clean and I would suspect it was well-built. It had at least 4 floors, maybe more. They had 2 separate dining areas, one for independent living and one for assisted living, and both looked fine. I did not find this facility as welcoming as the others, but it probably was due to the presenter that we had that particular day.

The one that I liked the most was a community called Runk and Pratt at Liberty Ridge. I like that it was more community living not a nursing home living. You still had your independence. Everything was very clean. It was independent living if you needed it, but you can gradually grow up to assisted living as you needed it there, too. I like the fact that they have a bowling alley, a rec room, and a little pub area. They have apartments. They had a theater where they play a movie every Wednesday night. They had a nice dining room and a small bowling alley. One that my father-in-law liked the best was the pub; they have a little pub where you can buy beer and wine for a dollar. The person who gave me a tour was very knowledgeable. He answered all the questions that I had. However, the place was kind of big, so it would take my in-laws a while to learn to get around it like using the elevators and stuff like that. I would also like to add that they have a beautiful library and a beauty parlor that's open the whole time.

I had an in-person tour of Runk and Pratt at Liberty Ridge. I love the whole place. I toured the independent apartment, and I love the apartment. It has a beautiful balcony looking at the mountains. The amenities they had were just outstanding. They have a movie theater. The food that they offered was great. They had an ice cream bar and a bar where my dad could get a beer if he wanted one. The facility was very clean and beautiful. I was very impressed.

My brother was in Runk and Pratt at Liberty Ridge for six months. I loved everything there. I loved the staff. You get to interact with the staff a lot. I loved the activities. They had plenty of activities. The food looked delicious. They cleaned all the time. This room was always straight, and the bed was always made. It's clean everywhere. I liked everything about it. I also loved the people there. They had a hairdresser. If they went and did activities, you weren't allowed to go with them, and a lot of times the activities were located somewhere else where I couldn't see them. They had a movie theater and all that, but I never saw it. He was in a single room with a shower and a bathroom. Value for money was good but I think they could be a little cheaper.

I visited Runk and Pratt at Liberty Ridge, and it was very nice. I liked their activities. They had a movie theater, a bowling alley, a library, and an exercise room. It was all very clean and well managed. At the time of the tour, the staff was fine. Afterwards, I was extremely disappointed in her lack of response. She asked to see my benefit package with Metropolitan Life, which I've had for 20 years. I sent it the following day and I waited and waited. I finally sent an email to see if she received it, and I got no response. I waited and I finally called her, and she said, "Oh, I just got it yesterday, going to work on it tomorrow and I'll be calling you." I waited and waited and waited. That shows me a lot. I would really have to maybe reconsider going there because of the lack of response, communication, and missteps. The room has a kitchen and a nice sized living room. I think the bedroom was a good size, and there's a balcony. It seemed very adequate. I could have moved in there as an independent person, which would have not been a problem. I have my doubts though because of the lack of caring to even respond to me. She lost thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars by ignoring me. The place is beautiful. I think it was very calming and peaceful. It was not a boring place. The people seem to be pretty happy. They had a Bible study. It seemed that the people weren't really, really old. They were probably like my age, although I'm probably really old and I don't even know it. I definitely think it was a beautiful atmosphere. I've had the food there previously, it's excellent. They have a hairdresser there on site. I mean, it is like a little resort.

I visited Runk and Pratt at Liberty Ridge, and they were very accommodating. It was a very nice place and I was impressed. It was very clean and friendly. They looked after their residents. They had the facilities set up for the safety and well being of the residents. Everybody just wanted to help you and explained very well all the questions that we had.

Disappointed in the delivery of advertised or promised care and amenities. My parents are residents; one is in the Pearls of Life memory care facility, and the other is in the assisted living building. Delicious, chef-prepared food was promised, but for the past six months under a new cook, the food is worse than hospital food--overcooked, lukewarm at best, and hovering between tasteless and inedible. I ate with my father recently and could barely consume anything; the taste and presentation was wholly unappealing. This facility wears an extremely attractive veneer; on first glance, its decorated common spaces imply high-quality care. Be forewarned: It is not always as advertised. The scheduled transportation between the assisted living and memory care facilities is unreliable and inconsistent. For elderly couples like my parents, both the physical separation and the inconsistent/unreliable transportation results in persistent stress. Grandparents, know that the game-room arcades haven't worked for years, yet they're still advertised as a selling point to potential residents. Lastly, when my mother was suffering a flare-up of her COPD, she called down for room service at 5:30pm. Around 8pm, a staff member delivered a side salad, explaining that was all that was left of dinner. Yes, there are friendly staff members, but It's a shame that, currently, the care and amenities at this facility do not come close to reflecting the high monthly costs.

My mother moved into Runk and Pratt at Liberty Ridge, and so far, it's been very good. We've been very pleased with it so far. Her room has been very clean. They have a cleaning crew, and we clean it ourselves too. The facility itself is very nice, they have a lot of activities like bingo in the afternoon, and there are exercise classes in the morning, but she cannot do a whole lot. However, they have come in and asked her about participating. She said the food is terrible, but from what I've seen, it looks very nice. If you don't like their options you can order from an alternative menu. There are different types of sandwiches, or hamburgers they make on the grill. They also have a lot of ethnic varieties, like Asian days and Mexican days.

Runk and Pratt Liberty Ridge is a beautiful facility. Their care staff are very caring and give excellent care. My mother has been there for almost a year and I have been very satisfied with the care she is getting. Their activities programme is also the best. Residents have something to do all the time and very involved. It keeps residents very active. The management starting with the administrator is very accessible which is a big and positive change from the past. I would definitely recommend this facility if you are looking for a place for your loved one.

Runk and Pratt at Liberty Ridge is beautiful and the food is good, but the people are driving me crazy. I wear a dress because I have hot flashes and they tell me it is not appropriate for the winter and that I need to put on pants and a long-sleeved shirt. They've searched my room four times and I haven't been here very long. I've had towels and my money stolen. I reported that and they sent two people in my room to search to see if the money was in there. I went to the dentist and I had a tooth pulled and he said he was going to write me a prescription for pain medication and an antibiotic. I got no medication and they searched my room again for it. They found the person who had my medication. It was sent up to the second floor, placed on a desk, and somebody had taken it from that desk. The rooms are beautiful and looking out the window is also beautiful. The food is the best you'll ever eat. I have a dog and I told them I had to have a place on the first floor, but I was placed on the second floor and they said they would move me down when a first floor room became available. My dog walks down the hall and sometimes urinates and they're upset about it. They have puzzles, bingo, and exercises. One staff member wanted to see me, so I went down and I said, "You wanted to see me?" and she said, "No, shut that door!" I'm not used to being treated like this. I talked to different people and I only found two out of about 20 that liked it here.

This place has become a joke. It’s always had some issues, but they try to hide the issues with chandeliers and borderline gawdy decor. It is poorly constructed- look close and you will see that it is. My mother has endured 4 floods since she’s been there because of faulty pipes. The toilets have nasty back flow into living spaces due to an inadequate septic system. Ask- they’ll tell you flushable wipes are not permitted and is treated as contraband due to the septic issues. Furthermore, since the administrator left recently, no one knows who is in charge. I’m sure no-one is by the way it has gone so far down hill. It is a three ring circus every time I visit my mom. The residents are suffering. There is inadequate staff, medication issues, residents getting out of the facility and being found by random people, care and hygiene issues. The list goes on and on. If I could give it zero stars I would, because one star is too many. I am looking for other placement, needless to say.

My mother lived at Runk and Pratt at Liberty Ridge and they were exceptional. I didn't worry about her at all in there, and we were totally pleased. They were a good value. She had a full apartment. It was a great experience. They had sewing, exercises, and church services. I was impressed with how they even accommodated her interests. She was into sewing so they started a group for sewing. However, the food got worse over time.

My mom is in Runk and Pratt at Liberty Ridge right now, and we're very happy with it. The staff is excellent and my mother said the food is very good. The facilities are outstanding and beautiful. The place is kind of nestled in the mountains, and the inside is just as gorgeous. They have a lot of activities. It's very expensive, but for what you're getting out of it, it's worth it.

My grandmother has resided here for nearly a year. She is on the assisted living side and has thrived since she's been there. They have a great activities program and the food is wonderful. The Administrator is very involved in the day to day activities and has even called me from her cell phone on the weekends and after hours when there was a need. The floor my grandmother is on has had the same nursing staff caring for her the entire year, so they have really become family! I can't say enough good things about this place.

My mother has resided at this community for nearly a year. We are very happy with the care provided. I have always found the managment staff to be very pleasant to deal with. The Administrator is always available when needed, even returning calls or emails late in the evening. My mother loves it there and she would not ever consider any other place to live.

Runk and Pratt at Liberty Ridge is a gorgeous facility. The dining room is excellent. My mother has gained 10 pounds, and we're ecstatic because she was very thin before and is a lot better now. The people are very nice and very professional. The advisers, doctors, and front desk people are all very nice and very helpful. The room is a brand-new, gorgeous, 1,100 sq. ft. two-bedroom with a dining room, living room, and kitchen. The whole complex is only a year and a half old. The dining area is clean, open to the hallways, and like a restaurant. They also have an Internet café. The security is very good. When my father got out, they saw him and ended up putting a band around his ankle or wrist. It would go off if he tried to go out the door. If they need anything in their apartment, they just pull a cord and someone will come and help them. They give them their meds, clean the place, do laundry, and remind them when it's lunch, dinner, or breakfast. It's not 100% assisted. It's individual living.

The one we liked the most for my mother-in-law was Runk and Pratt Liberty Ridge. It was the newest facility in town. The rooms were of a nice size and included a kitchen area, and seemed to be reasonably priced compared to other facilities.
