I was in a hospital, and Liberty Ridge Health & Rehab was recommended to me. Their staff was very caring. The rooms in that nursing home were very nice too. They were spacious and clean. The food was not good; however, the dining room looked good. They also had the usual activities that most nursing homes have. Overall, my experience in that community was good.

At first my mom liked being at Liberty Ridge, but then she started complaining about the food. Then the cold showers. My mom was on oxygen and it seemed like the aids weren’t trained on how to take care of someone on oxygen. My mom said she was the only person on oxygen! My mom was having abnormal breathing problems and instead of dealing with them they put her on their bus by herself to go to a Dr appointment and she died on the bus. So heart wrenching! That should have called 911 instead of putting her on the bus and she might be alive right now. One time my mom was dizzy and her oxygen was low and they told her to just lay down and breathe in her nose and out her mouth. I’m not sure what to do about the neglect that caused my mom’s death.

Understaffed! Safety precautions were not followed to protect this patient. Management said would correct several deficits and it never happened, which resulted in injury to patient. PT had patient to do activity that could have potential harm to patient. A lot of staff seemed to have two faces, one shown while family was present and another when alone with the patient. Staff on their phones while on duty. This facility was listed as one of the better facilities, I shudder to think what others are like.

My mother was in a care facility called Liberty Ridge after her surgery. The general appearance and the cleanliness were good. However, the residents went without water for days at a time. That happened several different times during my mother's stay. We were there several times and asked them what the bill would be. We gave them my mother's insurance information and they assured us that there would be no extra cost because Medicare would cover the majority of it. Now we are getting bills from them saying my mother owes them thousands of dollars. The physical and occupational therapy were good. However, my mother felt (and we felt) that she was not getting the medical attention she needed. She really wasn't interested in their activities. I wouldn't have been interested in them either.
