Golden LivingCenter was nice. It was secure. I don’t have any problems with them. The food was pretty good. They had bingo, book readings, and cooking. They need to have an exterminator more often.

I visited an in-law at this facility yesterday. I was appalled at the deficit in service that I witnessed, and at the lack of care that I noted. A number of residents sat around the nurses station for all of the 3 hours I spent there. They were clearly just sitting there. no effort was made to offer a space to sit with the resident I visited. I had to suggest it. She was in pain due to her calf having been jammed against a part of the wheelchair that was injuring it over time. No one noticed this and because she is not talking much she was unable to say so. She is also blind. I simply observed her discomfort and looked for the source. She was constantly trying to lift her leg away from the area but unable to and staff assumed that she was trying to warm her hands. Staff were not caring and definitely not attentive. I was very irritated not only with what I saw my in law go through but I observed the same for others. She was not clean, very dirty hair, poor oral care, etc. Shades covering her eyes were super filthy. Her legs are very weakened because of the lack of exercise. This means she is not assisted to walk. This is not a safe place to leave your loved ones.
So Frustrated

I placed my mother at this facility for respite care from a Thursday evening until Sunday afternoon. I specifically requested for her to get a shower. When i returned on Sunday afternoon, i was told she refused a shower. She smelled absolutely disgusting. I left clean clothes for her. Unfortunately when i returned on Sunday afternoon she was still wearing the same gown i left her in on Thursday. The clean clothes had not been touched. My mom is totally bind and the first thing she said to me was, "these people don't take care of you." No excuse for such poor care. It cost me approximately $1000.00 for respite for the weekend and such poor service.

The smell made me sick so I can only imagine the elderly there that have no voice and some that are not even aware they are there. I had one lady on a wing that asked me to help as she had been left on that wing she did not have wrist band on and no one knew where she belonged and no one offered to help till I asked fourth person working there. I was a vistor. And as I walked with her she noticed a patient who she told another worker there was a person who looked as they were falling out their bed and they would have to attend to her but the other person kept walking and this woman keep walking with me as well...why did they not stop and attend to that person immediately? I am putting in complaint for these people that need our voice to care for them.

This is a terrible facility. Upper management seem to care deeply about the residents; however, the CNAs are very rude and incompetent. I have seen the CNAs be disrespectful to family members, residents, and other employees. My mom has had her call light on for over 30 minutes to go to the bathroom, and I have had to ask CNAs many times to come help her. When my mom has wet herself because the CNAs did not come for almost 45 minutes, they rolled their eyes and were rough with my mom. The nurses and CNAs are not competent caregivers and I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

This nursing home is very dated and the energy is very sad. While we were touring, there were two patients with family members present demanding a nurse attend to their family member's needs. The smell in the place is awful. Would never put my family member there.

The Elizabeth Crump Manor is both a nursing home and memory care facility. The staff is always around and visible.

While the facilities themselves at Crump Manor are fairly nice, the staff leaves a lot to be desired. My grandmother, as well as many other residents, were often left unchecked on for hours at a time and it was only after threatening to sue the facility that any conditions changed. The prices charged to my grandmothers insurance per month rivaled what it would cost to stay in a high priced hotel, yet she was left for days when I was unable to visit unbathed and in the same clothes she had been in three days earlier. The center was not short staffed, but rather staff was usually standing around talking or playing on cell phones. I would not recommend this facility to anyone who has a loved one they need care for.
