We toured Spring Arbor of Fredericksburg. The food was great and presented. They put us in like their family dining room that you can reserve and everything, and it was good. It was just too big of a facility, and the care plan at the other facility worked better for what we were actually wanting for my mother-in-law. They were clean. The staff was really informative. They're willing to help you. They even reached back out, and even after I told them that we picked somewhere else, they were okay with that. They'd let us know if we can do anything else to help you with any of the other things that my mother-in-law might need. So it was very nice.

I've had an interview with the marketing director of Spring Arbor of Fredericksburg, and I was able to tour the memory care facility that will be open in 2 weeks. What I like is that there will only be 20 beds in there, it's the smallest community I have ever seen. It is brand-new, although Spring Arbor is already an established entity. It has other memory care in other cities, so they know what they're doing. They are adjacent to an assisted living right now. They will be a very hands-on and intimate community. The residents won't get lost. It's not institutional. That is what I was trying to get away from. The staff was very gracious, very friendly, and willing to give you any information that they have. The assisted living part was also very beautiful.

I went to Spring Arbor of Fredericksburg. The staff I met was very friendly. It is less residents in the unit, so the staff has more time for the residents. It is geared towards dementia patients, and they have different stations for them. They are active. They even can cook if they wanted to. Each unit has their own kitchen for 20 patients, and they have their own kitchen staff. They have a lot of activities to stimulate them, and they have got nice sized rooms. They are building a new unit, and it is opening up next month. I did not eat there, but everything feels cozy and at home.

The staff at Spring Arbor of Fredericksburg were very friendly, very helpful, and not intrusive. I was not excited about seeing tater tots on the menu. The facility is fine, but there is limited access to the outdoors and I like being outside. I saw an art class in session. The people that were in it were having a good time. The staff that I saw was fine.

My wife has been in Spring Arbor of Fredericksburg for over a year now. The facility is nice. She has Alzheimer's and is in their memory program. It's custodial care is fine, but it's too expensive. The staff is generally fine, though they're not really skilled in much of anything, and I don't think they pay them very much. They are pleasant, but I'm paying top dollar for custodial care, and I'm not happy with that. Some of the residents enjoy puzzles or a highly inflated ball that bounces around, but this is not Alzheimer's treatment. The food is OK, and the dining room is fine. They have a living room area and an activities area. When you look at their schedule, it's filled all day, but I doubt anything happens.

My mom lived at Spring Arbor for three years until she passed away recently. She was extremely well cared about and cared for when she lived there. All of her needs were met and the staff took such special interest in her that she never felt like she was living among strangers. She raved about the food and the staff -- and my mom was never easy to please. I visited my Mom at Spring Arbor nearly every day. I can say, without a doubt, that the residents are in great hands there and are treated like family. There were always activities going on and lots of the residents became close friends with one another. My mom was really happy there and that meant the world to me.

Overall my experience at Spring Arbor of Fredericksburg was positive. The building was very nice, architecturally. It was a beautiful building with lots of activity areas, a café bistro, and a beautiful dining area. The rooms were some of the larger rooms, which was nice. Their pricing was higher; it was the highest to start. It was a positive for people in wheelchairs because they had the most wheelchair rooms. Even though it was like wheelchair assisted living, it made it feel like so many people were hovering around in their wheelchairs which gave my father more of a negative vibe because he is fighting going into assisted living. The staff was very helpful, courteous, and professional. They were one of the most expensive to start but not the most expensive in the end or at the final tier. As the residents move up in care levels. they add a fee for the help and their needs that increase with time.

We found Spring Arbor of Fredericksburg for my mom. It is a very big facility with very attentive staff. They respond to any issue; it is not like you’re left alone. It was almost hotel-like and very nice. The dining area is really elegant. Everything about it is very nice. The activities are nice. They have a higher staff-to-person ratio than in most places, and you can tell that it is very well run. It is nothing like a nursing home. My mom has a two-room apartment with a bath and a kitchen. It is very nice.

Everybody at Spring Arbor of Fredericksburg was very pleasant and very straightforward. We had no problem whatsoever other than the price. It's a lot of money especially when there are two people -- my mom and dad -- and we just couldn't afford it. I would recommend to others, if they could afford it. The dining room was lovely, but we didn't eat there. We had an opportunity to, but my parents didn't want to.

We have selected Spring Arbor of Fredericksburg for my mother. It's fabulous. The staff was comprehensive. The information they gave was very complete. They paid a lot of attention to detail. They took a lot of time making sure I understood what their community was about, on the services they offer, and how they operate. Also they responded quickly. Spring Arbor of Fredericksburg is a fairly new facility. It is assisted living, and they also have memory care unit. They have a lot of very nice appointments inside the facility. The décor is very nice. They included a lot of resort-type appointments in the facility. The appearance was very nice. Any time I have ever been there, it was very clean, and the staff was always very courteous and friendly.
