My mother is at Village at Woods Edge. It is wonderful, and the staff is great. She was in an independent apartment for four years and that was probably about 1,000 square feet. It was a one bedroom with one bath, kitchen, living room and a patio. Then in November, she moved to the assisted living side. At the present time, she is in a studio apartment that is only about 400 square feet. We are currently on the waiting list for her to move to a one bedroom apartment on the assisted living side, which is about the same size as the independent living, 1000 square feet. The staff is absolutely wonderful. In fact, everytime I go there she tells me, "Just stay up here. It's wonderful." She's very, very pleased. They provide her with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Then they have a snack bar where she can go down and get snacks anytime she wants some. She also goes to exercise class, Bible studies, and country rides twice a week where they can ride the bus out into the county. They do bingo three times a week too. Before the pandemic, they had someone that came in for music, dancing, and a pianist to play some songs for them on the grand piano. It is expensive. She pays about $8,000 a month for her care in assisted living because she got an aide who is with her eight hours a day on top of her service fee. My mother is 84 years old and most of the people there are older than we are. My husband could not stand being inside all the time. So if it was my husband and I, the only lack would be having a swimming pool.

I toured the Village at Woods Edge. The community was very good. The staff was very good. She was very professional. She asked questions about what my wife needed and stuff like that. She took me on a tour and introduced me to people, and that was very nice. They had a beauty salon. They had a place where they could take the people for exercise and garden. They had everything you would need.

The Village at Woods Edge was absolutely gorgeous. The people that I spoke with were very nice; they were pleasant. It was right near a hospital. Everything that I saw about it, I loved, except the price. If somebody asked me, I sure would recommend this place.

Village at Wood’s Edge is a very nice place. It’s right next to the hospital in Franklin which makes it handy. They’re building up a large Alzheimer’s center that’s going to be completed next year. We visited it on a weekend and couldn’t find too many people that could talk to us about it. We ended up talking to a patient or two. It was very clean and established; it’s in the better part of Franklin.
