My mother was a resident for 7 years. My brother and I could not be more pleased with the care she received. She had a very painful illness and she wonderful nurses worked with me to formulate a plan for her. They include family in decisions. They fed her every meal. If I needed to be in a nursing home I would choose Ridgecrest Manor. For anyone on the fence you can feel assured if you choose Ridgecrest.

I have visited several residents for years at local nursing facilities. Every visit at Ridgecrest Manor, the facility has been very clean and orderly and odor free. The staff have always been helpful and pleasant with any questions or situations I spoke to them about. I have attended several facility functions (pre-Covid of course) and enjoyed the activity and the food was great. All staff I have ever met, including the Administrator, Bob, have listened to me and have been very respectful and courteous to me, to the residents as well.

Never stay at this place or allow a family member to stay here. It is incompetently managed, they don't manage patient's medications very well. I stayed there for a few weeks recovering from pneumonia and MRSA that went septic back in 2019. The food was the worst unedable garbage I've ever had , so bad in fact I got out of Ridgecrest to go back to Holston Valley Medical Center for a blood transfusion from what I believe was malnutrition. This place is definitely a place to die in, not to live in. It should be condemned and closed.

The rooms are really big, nice and clean with plenty of room to keep your personal items. The staff has made me feel very welcome and everyone is really friendly and helpful. Made the transition in to the facility very easy. The facility has an outside area for residents to go sit on the porch and get fresh air and sunshine. The scenery is breathtaking, very beautiful mountain views. The food is excellent, with large portions.

I visited an old friend who was staying at this facility for a while until she recovered from hip surgery and could care for herself once again. The facility itself is nice and very welcoming, as the pleasant smell and nice decorations give the establishment a home-like feel. My friend was always catered to and checked on very consistently, and that was very reassuring. However, I would have liked to have seen more social activities for the residents to engage in. I know my friend was bored a lot as there simply were not a lot of things to do that older people enjoy. The staff did their job well and you can tell that they are well trained in their craft, but they did tend to be a little rude whenever I had a few questions for them, and that I did not appreciate. Overall, this is a pretty good facility and they do their job well, so for that I would recommend it.
