Harmony at Oakbrooke is very clean and they try to make things comfortable for the memory care residents. My mom just started going to physical and occupational therapy today. Then they have a garden, a large screen TV where they put movies on, and she's got a nice room. There are some issues for now, like the call buttons are not where they should be or not enough for them in the room, as far as I'm concerned, but like everywhere else, they're short-staffed right now and I understand that.

I like Harmony at Oakbrooke the most. It was bright and sunny. It's a beautiful place. The rooms seemed to be laid out well. They had a little kitchen area, a walk-in shower, and it had a nice bathroom. It had light overhead when you get out of the shower, when you're drying off, and that was very nice, too. So far, it's been the best senior living I've seen. The staff members were very friendly, very informative, and very well-versed in their information. They didn't have to go to anyone for questions. They knew what they were talking about.

My mother-in-law was at Harmony at Oakbrooke. It's a beautiful facility. It has a lot to offer. Their short staff thing is what really is their issue. My mother-in-law had had a stroke, so she couldn't move her arms, and she couldn't feed herself. She needed two people to care for her. I just think they were understaffed and probably overwhelmed. She was in a studio, but it was a big room. In terms of activities, they wheeled her out of her room down to the cafeteria, but I don't think she ever participated in activities. I know she sat in the room when the TV was on because they wanted them to sit up in their chairs for like an hour after they ate to make sure it didn't come back up and they choked on it.

Since turnover six months ago the resident neglect has become worse and administration is totally unresponsive. Housekeeping and laundry services are practically nonexistent with residents, their clothing, and their bedding being urine soaked from neglect. Medications are administered incorrectly and no physicians have been there in months. This is a horrible place. I removed my loved one.

Harmony at Oakbrooke was beautiful. It was very nice. I just couldn't get my parents to go look at it. The staff were all very friendly and all very nice. However, there was a lack of diversity there, and that is important when you deal with these populations.

My dad used to be at Harmony at Oakbrooke. I used to think they were really good, but with the incidences that happened around January, not so much. They were bought out and they immediately started firing everybody, so they're short-staffed and not prepared. They don't have the activities that his other place has. They had told us originally that he could go outside because he likes to sit outside, and he couldn't. When he was there from July to December last year, I was happy with the place. Then in January this year, I got a phone call saying my dad has turned violent and he needs to go to the hospital and have an evaluation. The people that they have there right now are very nice. However, they don't have enough, the higher-ups have lost their minds and are firing everybody. So now everybody's leaving, everybody's pulling their parents out. They just went up in their price, it's high, and I don't think the value is very good. I understand that they have to keep his room while he was in the hospital for 5 days, but he wasn't in his room and didn't need any food, and I had to pay $14,500 for January and February. Their meals were good, but they hardly had any activities.

I toured Harmony at Oakbrooke. It was very clean, and the space was very open and vibrant. It's rather new, so that's probably why. I like how welcoming it was. The person who assisted me was really good. She was really nice, and she is very easy to keep in contact with. She gave me her phone number, and I was able to text her when I have questions and stuff. She was great. We actually toured there twice with my family. They really liked it because she was very compassionate. Dining was also really good. I like the food that they had on the menu and how they try to cater to what people like. The dining area was very clean. It looked open like it was in the middle of the community, and I like that. They had a lot of activities. They have ice cream socials. I also like that they have music time, where they're able to listen to music.

Harmony at Oakbrooke was a clean place. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The facilities were adequate. They had a gym, a salon, an outdoor patio, and a courtyard. It's close to shopping, and there's a lot of doctors in the area and a hospital. The size of the room was adequate.

Harmony at Oakbrooke was a wonderful facility, and it's very clean. The room size was great. The amenities were wonderful. The staff was fabulous. It would've been our first choice for mom. They had a library, a salon, a little workout room, and an arts and crafts room. They had a lot of stuff.

Harmony at Oakbrooke was nice. They were a little more expensive than the one we chose. It was a very nice facility because it's pretty new and very clean. I just didn't like the atmosphere as much as the other facility. We only met one person, and she was nice. The facility is nice and clean on the inside. It's modern looking. There's not a lot of landscaping or anything outside. It kind of sets in the middle of a field.

Harmony at Oakbrooke is beautifully well-run with happy residents. It's perfect. The rooms were beautifully laid out. They were unfurnished, so I had to use my imagination. The staff is friendly and I loved it there. I saw a movie theater room, a cafe, a dining room that looks like a restaurant, a lovely entrance with a piano, they have physical therapy if you're prescribed physical therapy, and they have a gym. I saw their menu, but I didn't try the food.

My mother moved into Harmony at Oakbrooke. We chose it because of the projected quality of care and the cost. We're not completely satisfied with medication giving though. The staff members are very compassionate, very friendly, and very caring, but they drop the ball a little bit on administering medication. She likes the food; it's not outstanding, but it's acceptable. They have lots of activities. They have a daily activity schedule and her physical therapy level has been very good. Their outside facilities are nonexistent. They don't have any appreciable gardens, courtyards, or outside facilities for the people to go outside. Pricing is competitive.

The overall tour with Harmony at Oakbrooke was very nice. The overall tour was very nice. It was very professional. I love driving up to the facility, the outside of the facility was well-groomed or manicured. There were workers tending to the grounds. So just driving up alone was very appealing. The staff already knew I was coming, so they were preparing for me. As soon as I walked to the door, we sat down first and talked about the facility in general, and then the actual tour itself was very nice. The facility is very clean. There are lots of activities planned for the residents. The staff was all friendly, they knew everyone, they spoke to everyone that went past, they knew their residents to the point that I was like, OK, I can feel this is a nice facility because the staff when somebody walks by, they can say, you know, about their children or grandchildren. So I knew that they've had conversations with their residents. So overall, I mean, I was just very impressed with the interaction, the cleanliness of it. The actual room itself was very warm and inviting. So I thought that literally would be my first choice. They gave me a nice truffle for visiting with them.

We toured Harmony at Oakbrooke. It was very impressive. It's a very new facility. It offers a lot of wide range of assistance. I was looking at the memory care unit and they have a place there that is very accommodating for folks like my mom who has dementia. I met some of the staff, they were very friendly. I was impressed with the facility; there's a lot of open space, a lot of activities that are going on. The staff went over some of the menus and the food available, and it looked like a very good meal plan. So just overall, the accommodations looked very good. It's very convenient to where I currently live, too. So, the access was very good in and out, and only five minutes away. So that's a big plus for me having her close by. They had three different rooms: a studio, a one-bedroom, and a two-bedroom. There was no sharing rooms with other folks, it was all individual. I guess that probably increases the price as well, but you've got your own furniture too. This "provide your own furniture," I kind of like in a way, because that makes it a little bit homier, a bit more personal. And so would have her own bed, a little table, or some chest of drawers or things from home, and not just the hotel-type/style furniture. So that was a good touch too. The floor plans are basically the same, but the memory care unit has a staff, I guess, that is situated close by that checks on the folks, and provides an additional level of care and the access, I think, for you to go out and about and around. They keep close tabs on folks in the memory care unit. My mom's not a wanderer, she just can't remember. She is not on prescription drugs, but she has other vitamins and things that she takes, and so she just needs some additional help. The staff was very good, and I appreciated all the information. I thought it was a little expensive, but I expected sort of that. I saw the dining facility, and where it was, and she showed me a menu, but I didn't see any prepared food. It wasn't mealtime, and I didn't see folks in the dining areas. I just saw the dining area. In the memory care unit, they have assistance getting folks down. There were two different dining areas, as I recall, and the memory care unit, it was another area where they had more assistance provided. I liked the layout, the flow, and the access was all very nice. There was a little courtyard downstairs where they have cookouts and outdoor activities, and there was a little kind of a lake pond out back with some chairs where folks could go. It's well thought out and is a nice place.

Harmony at Oakbrooke was fairly new, so everything was still in tiptop shape. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They had a salon, a gym, and activities. They are very new. They were built in 2018. Everything feels new, in good working condition, well maintained, well kept, and clean. For us, it is very local since we live there, but there's a lot of stuff around. It is centralized, and you can get to a lot of things.

My dad was not even in Harmony at Oakbrooke before he took a bad fall and was hospitalized. They were very kind and family-oriented. Even the staff seemed very close-knit. They extended kindness towards my father and our family as we were moving him in. His room there was nice and spacious, it was a good setup, and a good option even for the furniture that we had moved in. Because of COVID we weren't allowed to eat with my dad, but he seemed to enjoy the food that was given to him. Their amenities for their assisted living were more accessible for anyone living in memory care.

Harmony at Oakbrooke is amazing. It really is very good. The people there are just extremely caring. It's a nice place. My mother's apartment is better than any apartment I ever had growing up. It's really nice, very spacious, everything's brand new, and all the kitchen appliances are in great shape. It's one of the nicest apartments regardless of whether it's in a nursing home or in an assisted living or not. It's a very nice place. The meals are very good. In fact, I just had one myself yesterday, and it's pretty tasty stuff. We're just kind of getting exposed to the activities now. There are a few things going on and I really don't have a whole lot to compare it against. They have bingo, bible study, and other stuff going on every day. I was kind of hoping to see a little of a few more things. There are a few days that they don't really have a whole lot going on, and some of this is COVID related, too, but it's certainly better than average. I was just hoping for a few more things here and there. They have a courtyard, a grill out there for residents to use, a movie theater, a pub where they have happy hour for the independent living folks twice a week with beer and wine, libraries, game rooms, and craft rooms.

Do not look any further for a forever home for your loved one. I am blown away with Harmony at Oakbrooke. The facility is beautiful on the inside and out. The staff goes above and beyond for my Grandmama. They are very clean and they take high precautions concerning COVID. Her room is always clean. The food is great. They have always throw such fun themed parties for their residents that my Grandmama can never stop talking about. (Such as I love Lucy & Mickey Mouse.) She loves watching her favorite movies in the theater room they they offer. Do not wait any longer, go give them a tour!

I went to Harmony at Oakbrooke. The facility was absolutely gorgeous, it was brand new, it was out of our price range, but the gentleman we talked to was a little more aggressive and pushy. They had bingo, they had people coming in singing and playing the piano, they had them going out shopping and to museums, and I really liked that. The staff was nice, but definitely a sales person.

Harmony at Oakbrooke was brand new. They had land space where you could walk your dogs. The person who showed us around was very helpful, followed up with phone calls, very informative, and gave some financial help with my VA. Everything was good. They take you to doctors' appointments, and they had a gym, dining rooms, a nice library, and nice apartments. It felt homey.

My mother was in Assisted Living for three years and has now transitioned to Memory Care at Harmony at Oakbrook in Chesapeake, VA. She has lived there for almost 10 months. Harmony at Oakbrook is a fairly new community and the facility itself is impeccable. The staff is outstanding and very friendly. I can tell they have a passion for elder care. We looked at several communities and Harmony at Oakbrook was by far the best. While my mother was in Assisted Living at another community, I never felt as comfortable as I do now with the level of her care and the compassion of her caregivers. From the moment you step in the front door you feel welcome. I can rest easy knowing Mom is being taken care of and that she is living her golden years in a dignified, comforting and compassionate environment. Thank you Oakbrook!

I liked Harmony at Oakbrooke, but it wasn't in our budget. We saw a two-bedroom on the first and second floors. The staff was pretty nice. The food seemed good, and they showed us the menus. The facility was clean and nice. We saw the theater room and their calendar of events. Meals are included, and they also do housekeeping once a week.

My mother seems to be doing OK there. They play bingo, watch movies, and there are happy hours. The staff has been excellent, very sweet, and very kind. They know the residents' names within a few days after they're there, so it's very welcoming. Her room for the most part is clean. She was in memory care for a week and the food there was not very good, but since she's been in their assisted living she has enjoyed the food. They have a beauty shop, a library, and a bus service. They've been short on staff a couple of times, but her evening nurse has been really good. It's a brand-new building. The price is extraordinarily high and I'm paying additional money for the actual pills and the packaging, which I wasn't expecting.

It is brand new, very pretty, very well done, very well kept, and shiny and new, but it's out of my moms' price range. The people were very nice. It seemed like a very nice community, and they seemed to care for the people. The staff was very nice, and she's the only only one I interacted with. She was very personable and business like. The dining area looked clean. They had movie nights, shopping days, and game nights.

My dad moved in and our experience so far has been wonderful. It's a beautiful community and they have very attentive staff members. One thing I can say is that since he's been there his health has improved. So that's really wonderful. It's a new community, and they have two others, so it's not completely full. They're trying to accommodate my dad's special needs, and they're providing transportation to and from dialysis twice a week. They always make sure that he's feeling well and that he gets socialization. They bring him down to the dining room, and the food is very good. They have a concierge that's there 24 hours a day. I've been to other places, but this one is a nice place. Some of the staff members are off the charts, but there are some that are not. They have a lot of activities, like they go out on movie nights. And compared to others I've seen, they have a lot to offer. The value for the money is comparative. I would rate it a five.

It's beautiful and we had a good tour. It was very well-appointed. I liked that it has a full kitchen, but they only have showers, and none of the showers have a ledge or seat. The staff member was a hoot, she asked questions, and we had a good time. The facility is new, bright, and shiny. They have an exercise room, a couple of libraries, a music room, and planned trips.

It was beautiful. It was a very nice community. They had a very beautiful studio apartment that I was interested in, but I couldn't get my things together in time to get that apartment. The Crossings at Oakbrooke was very friendly, and they seemed to have a lot of activities. I like that they had increased care, especially for memory care. They have a full calendar of options and activities. They go on outings, they have exercise time, and they have church meetings available in the building too. The community is brand new and the location is good. The price is competitive with everybody else. I had a meal there, and the food was good. The administrator took me around. He was knowledgeable and had a good understanding of the place. Everything was nice.
