Rooms are fine but the food is terrible. Broccoli was gray not green. The smell of the food was awful. The servings are meager at best.

My husband was in Fairmont Crossing for a month. There were a few issues, but he was a very difficult patient. His room wasn't always kept clean and he wasn't always attended to as rapidly as he should've been. Some staff were really good, but sometimes I would have to look for somebody to come and they wouldn't answer his calls. The food was really good. They had lots of activities, but he did not take part in them. They had a salon, but they did not have a dining room. They had good physical therapy and that was a plus there. He was there for 30 days, which was Medicare-covered, but after that, the price was just extremely high.

I have visited my MIL there several times. This facility is clean and DOES NOT really smell like a nursing home which is a big turn off right when you walk in the door. She seems to be well taken care of. We especially like a male nurse there who is always very helpful with her and I know she loves Richard dearly. I just wish we could visit more often but living out of state doesn't allow us to do so. We get there 3-4 times a year.

I recently visited a resident of this facility and have to say that I was both impressed and shocked at a few things. The facility was very clean, staff was professional and most helpful. They even allowed students from the local high school come in for some hands on training with their medical classes. What did surprise me though is that the residents/patients must use the facilities on call doctors, as opposed to their own if they need medical attention. I thought that I had misheard the lady say this, but it was confirmed by several others that had loved ones there.
