The Landing Alexandria was excellent. It's a fabulous location if you're a younger or more able senior and if you travel because you're right near the airport, and that's one of the reasons why I looked at it. Plus, I have a friend who lives there, and I visited her several times, and it is fabulous. The building is complete, and it is a year and a half old. However, because it's a high rise, the only way that seniors can get out and about and do stuff is to go up on their eighth floor. That's where their garden club has plots, and that's where the chef grows his herbs, and they have a bar and a lounge up there so people can be outside and stuff. But that's it, so that's the only problem. Also, they don't have a pool. It's beautiful and it's a gorgeous spot, but there's a lot of construction. And for seniors who are moving across the country, I wouldn't want to stress them with that. It's brand new, so everything is shiny and bright. The layouts are nice. They offer five different layouts from studios to two-bedrooms plus a den. Some have balconies, and some without. I tried their food, and it was good. I had eaten with a friend of mine before.

The Landing Alexandria was gorgeous. The person who toured us was wonderful. I would go to the Landing Alexandria in a minute, but my husband likes the other community better. The Landing Alexandria is smaller, and you don't get that feeling like a hotel. They supply all the appliances like the other place, but I think they're better in quality. They provide three meals a day as well. The staff who gave the tour was very helpful and cordial. She could answer all our questions. The building was immaculate. The only thing we didn't like about is that it's right in the city. There're no pretty grounds that you could walk around it. It's very urban.
