My dad moved to Avamere at Mountain Ridge. They have been wonderful. Everybody on staff that we've dealt with has just been overly helpful and friendly. My father likes it there, and it's just the perfect place for him. When I was there the first time, they had an activity. They called it a NASCAR race, and they had the contestants in wheelchairs racing around the dining room, and they all had a blast. Then, I also saw them doing a balloon toss. I have not tried the food, but my father said it was good.

We are moving my mom into Avamere at Mountain Ridge. We like the width of the halls, the up-to-date furnishings, the friendliness of the people there as well as the staff, the facility itself, and the amenities. We also very much like the convenience and the proximity to my sister-in-law, seven minutes from where she lives. We have given her primary care responsibilities for my mom. We like the memory care facility there. My mom is going to start in assisted living, but she might have to be moved into memory care because her dementia is getting worse.

We toured Avamere at Mountain Ridge, and there wasn't anything we didn't like about the place. It was more like a home setting. There was a studio and 1 bedroom available with a private bathroom and little kitchenette. They were empty so that my dad could take his own stuff in there. They were pretty good-sized rooms, they were nice rooms. They have a gym, a theater room, and an activity room. The staff that we met was nice.

My mother-in-law has been in Avamere at Mountain Ridge for a month now. Their staff is really good. They're really attentive. They have exercise class, and they have bingo every day. They have something going on 10:00 to 1:00 or 2:00 every day. They have people that come from other places. They had people from Ogden Nature Center. They had a program that came there, and they actually brought a bald eagle.

We went to Avamere at Mountain Ridge yesterday. It just was clean. It was homey looking. We just liked the way it was set up. The people, the manager, and the executive manager were very kind. They took us around. We were just impressed with what they do and the services they offer. It just felt good to us. They showed us the activity room, the beautiful gardens, and the dining room. They went through all of that with us. They had an exercise room with exercise machines. They had lots of activities. They had a place where they gather for music in the evening. They had an activity room which also serves as a church on Sunday. It's all held right there for the people. We were just impressed. They do transportation for medical purposes. They do have a beauty salon on the property, which is nice. They do offer things where they go on rides with them, but COVID kind of shut that down a little bit.

What a wonderful place. I could not have asked for a better home for my mom. The memory care staff is amazing, constantly engaging all of the residents in various activities. It is easy to see that all of the residents who live here are happy and content. They are their own community of friends and readily welcome any newcomers. The meals are top notch quality and the quantity of food is ample. If you are in need of a place to care for your loved one, look no further - this is the best place you could ever hope for.

The place that we did choose for my mom is called Mountain Ridge. It is similar to the other community in terms of cleanliness and in terms of staff, but it has recommendation from my mom's friend. That was the only reason we went to that route. It has mountain views and good activities considering it is a smaller property. The staff seems really good. The one thing that I really like that we found has been good is the flexibility in the meals. When you go in there, you order your dinner. It is not ready and you have to wait, but everything comes out fresh and hot. We eat there all the time because we go there as guests. My mom really likes it. It is a 3-star restaurant, but the flexibility makes up for the alternative there. The staff seems very nice and very friendly. It is a newer property. It is affordable. It is a little bit cheaper than the other community.

Mountain Ridge assisted living had a lot of diversity and activities for the seniors to participate in. However, as they progressively get worse, it's a very difficult transition. They allow the residents to go to church and transport them to different places, which was important. They also offer opportunities for music activities, animal activities, and highly social things. My mother liked the food and did well with it. The staff has been very good, but they've had a lot of change.

My father was a recent resident of Mountain Ridge. When we first placed him there a year ago, things were fine...but the place is a train wreck right now and has been for quite some time. No director, no head nurse, and WAY understaffed. My father was all but ignored for the last several months of his stay. Twice, he was left in his wheelchair all night long (he can't walk nor stand), his call button was useless...he would press it and either no one would ever come OR it would take 1 hour or more for someone to show up. On one occasion when I was with him, I pushed it...20 minutes later I pushed it again...15 minutes later I pushed it again. After one hour and 25 minutes someone finally came. What if he had fallen and was injured?? Completely unacceptable. He was dropped by the aids several times while being transferred and the facility never called us to tell us (they are required to do so if the patient falls). He would ask for pain meds and was told they'd be right back with them, but then they'd never come back. On his last night there, he was left sitting on his toilet for 2 1/2 hours at 3 am!!! How is this even remotely acceptable?! The amount of money he was paying compared to the service he got was criminal. I would not consider sending my loved-one here unless there is a major overhaul. I spoke with several of the other residents and they ALL sang the same song..."We're not being taken care of...we would leave if we could...this place is a mess." So, so sad. On a somewhat positive note, they have good activities/music programs and he enjoyed those. They have weekly field trips which were nice. The rooms are small, but no problems there. He had a small kitchenette which was sufficient for his particular needs. Food in the dining room is typical cafeteria food....not the greatest. I will add that the staff was friendly, but that does not make up for the fact that they weren't caring for my dad.

Mountain Ridge Assisted Living is about 16 years old, and the upkeep has been very good. The staff is all very good and very friendly. We've been very satisfied with the level of care there. They have a variety of rooms ranging from studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedrooms. The one-bedroom that we have has a large walk-in closet, a small kitchenette, large windows with lots of natural lights, and everything was updated when Dad moved in. They have an exercise room, a small library, a really nice courtyard, and shared laundry facilities.

Mountain Ridge looks like it's an excellent facility and seemed to provide really good care and a little bit more for the base price than most places do. The 1-bedroom apartment's setup, closet, and storage space were very nice.

I had an excellent experience at Mountain Ridge. It was a very nice place, and I was impressed with the staff and the service. I talked to some of the residents who seemed to be happy and busy doing things. Their rooms were very nice, and they had a nice dining room. I saw people reading, watching TV, and playing cards. I saw a calendar, and it looked like they had things going on. The location was fine, and the price was maybe a little bit high, but I liked the quality of the building, and they seemed to be very accommodating. I felt comfortable and at home there, so I thought it'd be worth it. Overall, I liked Mountain Ridge.

Mountain Ridge Assisted Living's general appearance was great, and the feel was very good. We visited on a Sunday. and it was very quiet. It was the highest priced of all the ones we visited and didn't have as many room options as some of the others. The person who assisted us was fine. She was very helpful and gave us additional information about other benefits we might qualify for, so there were no complaints. I think it's a good place. The dining area looked fine.

When I first walked in, Mountain Ridge was depressing. I was introduced to the director who wasn’t a warm person, but the one who gave me the tour was fabulous. I didn’t see any activities, but I’m sure they had some. The director just needs to be more approachable.

My mother is at Mountain Ridge. I like it. They have wine tasting on Wednesdays. The building is arranged around the courtyard, so the residents are able to look out on the courtyard, and there is a walking path around the courtyard. My mother loves to be outside.

Mountain Ridge was wonderful, but we were looking for a skilled nursing facility. It was a very nice facility. The person we met was outstanding, but the facility was an assisted living. I think the difference between a skilled nursing and assisted living is that one person can take care of the patient in assisted living, and my husband needed two-plus persons to take care of him; that's why they were not able to meet his needs. Nevertheless, the facility itself was very, very nice.

We went to Mountain Ridge. My mother liked that it wasn't too big. The people there were nicer and paid more attention to her rather than just us children that were taking her there, and that was important. It's clean, new, friendly, and has nice features. They do provide excursions and activities, and they do have a small fitness center. They're really good. If I were to choose a place to go myself, I would go there.

I would give less than one star if possible. My mother was a client of Mountain Ridge and had terrible care. She was given the wrong medicine on two different occasions and ended up being hospitalized because of it. I live many thousands of miles away and I flew in to see what was occurring. I ended up staying with her at the facility for over a month. During that time what I saw was appaling and criminal. The staff at night would disappear to go out with their friends. Once a client fell and bled profusely. I heard her screaming and I had to call an ambulance because the CNA on duty was out with her boyfriend! (She was NOT terminated or even reprimanded). On another occassion, a newer male patient assaulted a long-term female patient and she ended up dying a month later. He was arrested and subsequently removed. But again, this happened at night and there was no one around to help the poor lady. Needless to say, I removed my mother to another, more appropriate setting. With that said; the neglect I personally witnessed was nothing less than criminal. Particularly for those too infirm to complain or to get help. These people are dangerous and although the facility is nice and well cared-for; I can not say the same for the clientele. Don't risk it!

I visited Mountain Ridge in South Ogden, and it was nice and clean. They offer more assistance, but it is a little more expensive. They probably have one of the best gyms from all of the facilities that we looked at. They have full gym equipment.

Mom is at Mountain Ridge. We chose this facility because we thought it was less institutional than some of the other places that we visited. It seemed very warm and welcoming. The people there are very professional. Our mother has been there a little over a month, and we felt she is well-cared for. They have a very excellent CNA to resident ratio, so there are always several people on hand. They have a nurse on staff who seems knowledgeable and attentive. She is in a memory care unit, so she has a single bedroom with a bathroom, and it is in good shape. She is in a cluster with some other people, and then there is a common living area.

This is a very clean facility. The staff is wonderful! Everyone that works there is very kind and caring. They have many social activities and Cheryl who is in charge of the social activities is AMAZING! She is so sweet. The nursing staff is so good. Andrea, and Jamie bend over backwards to see that everyones needs are met. Even whenthey are off or not on call they will help wherever they can. Kirsten who is in charge of the food is simply darling! She is do on top of the food services, and the food there is wonderful! She takes such good care of the residents and their family

My 87 yr old mother has been living at Mt Ridge for a year. She is healthy but has severe dementia. We find Mt Ridge to be outstanding in every aspect. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The maintenance & housekeeping staff are efficient and friendly. The servers in the dining room remember each residents name and what their favorite food and beverages are. Adrienne, who handles the monthly billing and accounting for the residents, always seems to take time to visit with the residents as they pass near her office. Not only are fun & creative activities offered numerous times a day by MaryAnn &Cheryl, but they ensure each resident gets a knock on their door and a personal invite to every function. The 24/7 nursing staff is responsive and always available to answer families questions. Tiffany in marketing & Rodney, the directory, are caring, good natured & calm individuals who make themselves available for questions & discussions. Too many deserving staff to mention. I highly recommend Mt Ridge not only for the beautiful setting, but mainly for the fabulous staff.

My father Is In Mountain Ridge and has been for over 6 years. My dad has been on both sides of the facility over the years, and to say the least it has been hard. But what has been very helpful is the staff....from the office right on to the cleaning staff, all have been very helpful......Even when there has been an issue or two and there have been a few over the years, they have tried to resolve it as quickly as possible. This facility had a large number of patients and not enough staff to accomodate all needs. When it became apparent that my father-in-law was about to pass they were not able to facilitate a private room for the family to say thier final goodbyes. The staff, however, was very patient, helpful and really did everything they could in the situation.

I can't say enough about the care my parents received at Mt. Ridge over the past 5 years. It is a clean, efficient, friendly, well run operation manned by an excellent staff. Every one was always friendly, helpful, and caring. The organization has obviously been carefully planned by people that know and understand the needs of the elderly.

Mountain ridge assisted living is located in Southern Utah just below the beautiful Rocky Mountain Region. The landscape is breathtaking to be sure, but it is definitely not all this facility has to offer its residence. Every time I enter an assisted living facility I worry that it will not be kept in a clean and sanitary manner for the residents that have no choice but to be there. My fears were baseless when I visited this facility for the cleanliness was above reproach. I even remember thinking that I wanted to ask what cleaning products they were using since it smelled so clean, but not overpowering with the common cleaning scents of bleach, ammonia, etc. I spoke to several of the residents as I was at the facility to do rounds with my aunt who works as a specialist in the field of assisted living and works to uphold a certain standard of living for the elderly. Both she and I found the residents to be most pleased to be residents of the Mountain Ridge Assisted Living Facility, and could not say enough about the fabulous food, attentive staff, great accomodations, and activities for the residents. I was glad to know upon leaving that the horror stories that you often hear about nursing homes are often unfounded, and I can honestly say that when my time comes I would be happy to be a resident of Mountain Ridge!

This facility is great for many reasons. For one, there are so many activities to do and so much socializing, that it would be impossible for the residents to get bored. If they don't feel like in participating in one of the craft projects or music programs, there's always outings and walks they can go on. A friend of mine here is pretty much a social butterfly. She's never been very good just sitting at home. Once she couldn't drive anymore, she moved promptly to a assisted living facility. This one offers all the opportunities she could possibly want to get out and shopping. Even her family can stop by and take her out to lunch or to the store. She loves living here where there is so much she can do and so many friends she can make.

This is a great facility for seniors that want to have their own apartment but need the help of a nurse once and awhile along with a little social interaction. My aunt moved into these apartments and she really liked the social interaction that they had. They take them shopping and also take them on fun outings, which she just loved since she couldn't drive anymore. One of the fun things I really appreciated when I would visit her is that they really tried hard to make the place inviting and friendly. The nurses I interacted with were are nice and paid close attention to the residents. They had a lot of things that made the facility feel like a real home like decorating for the different holidays and they also offered great things like music classes, which she really loved. This is great for anyone that is tired of living alone and dealing with the housework and would like to have a place to live where your cleaning is done and you don't need to worry about yardwork. Many of the residents would come and go as they needed, which really does make it nice because it doesn't feel like a traditional assisted living center where people are just stuck there all day long.
