I toured The Auberge at Aspen Park. They were redoing everything. You could have pets and they had a cat. Everybody seemed to be getting along. It seemed like a happy place. They were all nice. I just wish we could have got him in there. It was clean. Every place we got to see was clean and everything was nice. It was kind of relaxed. The people that were wandering around seemed happy and knew what they were doing.

I like that The Auberge at Aspen Park is just one floor. My friend moved there. The property is huge. I like that the memory care is not in the basement. They have a lot of activities. They have a swimming pool and an area for the dogs so they don't go on the street. Everything is locked, but they can still go outside, take the dogs, and have lunch outside. They don't encourage the residents to be in the room. They bring them out. They cook with them, they do art and singing. They have honey bees outside where they make their own honey and have a vegetable garden where the residents can get involved. The housekeeping is amazing. They keep their rooms very clean. They keep an eye on her clothes every day. My friend has a little dog, and when she has an appointment where I take her, they're very good about taking the little dog outside. They have physical therapy and there's a lot of care. I am very impressed with them. I just feel that they're charging way too much for my friend because she can eat, take a shower, fold her own clothes, and turn the TV on. She is very functional. They have a doctor there and I'm not that impressed with him. They kept calling me, asking what my friend's doctor's names were and the cardiologist's. These guys have a doctor there that is making a lot of money. He should go into my chart and read her history, stop calling me, and take ownership of that. Every time I go there, everybody else knows her and what's happening. For lunch and meals, if my friend doesn't come, there's always somebody outside. My friend looks better. She looks more healthy. She was having a lot of issues in her legs but they now look amazing. It has a lot to do with her nutrition and she's well rested, and she likes the idea that somebody comes and cleans her room and she doesn't have to worry about it, her laundry, and everything. I haven't tasted the food, but she always says this is the best place. She doesn't participate in their activities because she feels that many people cannot talk to her like she does. I know they're not pushing her, but I would like to see more encouragement for her to get out of the room and then do something more with their activities. It's an old building. I know they're gonna remodel it, but they're charging too much for being in that building. It smells like an old place.

My husband is at The Auberge at Aspen Park. He needed a doctor's supervision, and they have a doctor on the premises five days a week. The staff are very skilled, and they're very accommodating. He's been there two weeks now. They go on a bus ride. They have classes where they learn how to make things. They cook together, and they play games. They have a lot of activities. The place is very clean and very organized. It close to my home.

I already placed my husband to The Auberge. It's a skilled nursing facility as well as memory care, and that's what he needed. He hasn't been there that long. I've been to the reception area, not in the rooms. They don't allow anybody back in the rooms because of Covid. It looks very clean and very nice. They're mostly pretty responsive. There have been a couple that were not so much, but most were very responsive and they talked to me about my concerns. They don't have one case of Covid and someone in the business recommended them. They've talked to me about his activities, they have music almost every day, they have arts and crafts, social get togethers, like they had ice cream the other day.

Auberge at Aspen Park is the best! My mom has been there for 1 1/2 years, and the care she receives is excellent. The staff is well trained and truly love the residents. They are very good to keep in touch with me if anything changes with my mom's health or well-being. The meals are excellent. There are always activities going on to keep the residents stimulated. They have music, crafts, BINGO, cooking, outings, etc. We are very pleased with Auberge at Aspen Park. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for. We prefer to pay more for the difference in the quality of care she receives.

It was clean. I like the way they had the building set up. Everything was right there, so if my parents were in there, they didn’t have to walk all over. They seemed to have everything right there for them, everything that they needed. The dining area was very well set up. It was big enough if they have a few wheelchairs going through there or people with their walker. The staff was very pleasant. The workers acted like they knew what they were doing with the people. They were very well experienced in taking care of dementia and Alzheimer’s clients.

My mom was here for about six weeks. She was there mainly for rehabilitation which was very nice and the security was excellent. The room had two doors and hospital beds but it was very nice. They specialized in Alzheimer's and injury care. The rooms had their own shower and they did assisted bathing. The staff were excellent and just wonderful. I liked it a lot and I would recommend this facility for rehabilitation.

One thing I like versus some of the smaller ones is that they have the group divided into earlier stages versus later stages. That was probably the most positive thing that I saw. It did felt like a big facility which may or may not be good if they really were able to keep track of where everyone is at. But to have the mobility, it's a positive. I wasn't sure about the animals in the facility, and I guess that could be a good thing. I only interacted with one person when I visited the facility. She was very friendly, very helpful, and did not act like she was in a hurry.

When my grandmother developed Alzheimers it was scary for the whole family. She had been staying at another assisted living facility for the past two years when her condition worsened. The place she was staying was not fit for her anymore unfortunately. The staff were friendly and knew what we were going through. They were able to provide round-the-clock care, and keep us updated on how she was doing. She passed away about a year ago, and the staff kept us informed up until the end, and were helpful with the grieving process. I would personally recommend them to anyone in our situation.

I know a resident at this facility who is a most enthusiastic lover of horses. In fact, she's more than once told me stories about herself as a girl living on a ranch. Of course, in her stories half the houses in Salt Lake weren't built yet and there were large sweeps of open farmland. This facility is perfect for her because they have pet therapy and she can once again be with her beloved horses. She loves to spend time petting them and talking to them, maybe more than she likes to talk to people even. Not that she doesn't have her share of admirers. The staff are always willing to listen to her stories. She's not up to riding the horses though, not that she hasn't tried, but she has tried to convince the staff to let her muck out stalls, something about the good old days. One way or another though, this facility has been excellent for her.
