This is our home neighborhood go to facility. Many people over the past few years have been here. From accidents, falls and broken lower extremities, and end of life Hospice. My son is there now with broken leg, screws and plates another surgery coming up. My daddy spent last days there. Superb care, loving, kind workers. Real homemade food down to homemade bread.

They don't answer the call button in a timely manner. My husband waited 30 minutes for them to answer the call, and ended up having an accident in the bed. Two different aides came in and neither one was willing to clean him up. One hour later the nurse came in and had the aide come clean him. She was rough with him and he asked her to be gentle and she continued to be rough. The director thinks this is okay! I would not put a loved one in this facility!

The staff is friendly and professional. They really looked out for my wife and tended to her wound dressings and treated her like a member of the family. The lady in charge of the place, I believe her name was Jasmine went above and beyond when my wife had problems with her wound vacuum. Now my wife is back on her feet again enjoying life. Thank you Avalon for being so kind to us and being there in our time of need.

I am currently in this facility and have been for about three weeks. I am recovering from surgery resulting from an accident. My stay here has been frustrating. I have tried not to be a burden on the staff because I know they are busy and there are many residents with much greater needs than I have. I do sometimes have pressing needs, however, and it is very difficult to get the needed help. Most of the staff seem to be capable enough (although there are more exceptions than I would like) but they seem to be understaffed ALL of the time. I recognize the need to avoid over-staffing to make a profit but caring for the patients needs to be the first priority. It isn't here. I'm afraid the bean-counters have squeezed down staffing so much it has seriously affected the quality of care.
