I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

This is a great place. Our mother has been a resident for a year an a half there. They are always willing to listen and to work with us in any way to help our mother. The nurses there have given me their personal numbers to call if we have any concerns and they call me with anything issues that arise. We have found the communication with us between the administration and nursing staff to be excellent. The CNAs and med techs are so kind, patient and loving towards our mother. They involve the residents family in so many activities that involve the whole family such as holiday parties, spotlights on the patients, breakfasts on the patio, art shows, etc The kitchen staff interacts with the residents like family. We watch interactions between staff and their patients in the hallway, at meals and activities. They show genuine interest and concern for everyone and laugh and talk with them and know them as individuals. Most of all my mother feels loved and cared for. We know that we can call the staff anytime and discuss any problems. My mother’s hospice nurse also has been so complimentary regarding the staff and has told us that it is one of the best facilities that she visits. We feel very fortunate to have our mother there and highly recommend this facility.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

The Lodge at North Ogden is very new. The room that my in-laws have is large, so that helps our decision. It's a two-bedroom. The beds sit nicely. There are two single beds. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. We have tried the food three times, and the food is very good. There are ample amounts for the seniors. The dining area is spacious and beautifully arranged. They've also got a pool table, a shuffleboard table, a theater, and extra dining rooms for friends and family to borrow. They have a salon on site and there are three pianos, which I like because my mother-in-law plays the piano. Everything seems to be in working order and good condition. The place is very clean. It's a good value. We chose them because of the value of the room and the size of the room, which is over 1200 square feet for a two-bedroom. As for activities, my in-laws have already participated in bingo. Activities seem to be good.

I visited this facility

We toured The Lodge at North Ogden. It was nice and organized. It seemed like they were all about the people who were staying there. The staff was nice and helpful. They answered questions. The rooms were very open and had nice-sized bedrooms and bathrooms. I liked that they had the washer and dryer set up so my mother wouldn't have to leave her room to use the washer and dryer and get her clothes done. Activities were nice because they had a calendar, and they had a little hook thing by your door, and then they hooked that on every month. You can bring that into your room, and you can know immediately what day it is and what activities are available. So that was nice. They had a game room and a gathering room with a baby grand piano. It's nice.
