My father is already in The Gables of Brigham City Assisted Living. They're a very clean place and they're one of our first choices. I'd rather go there than I would any of the other places available in Brigham, they're good people there. What I like about the whole thing is that the staff is very responsive. There are only 22 rooms in this place, as opposed to a hospital setting where they could get understaffed. I think they're just responsive to the needs and they've been really good. I have not tasted the food, but he has said that for the most part, it's good. There have been things that he doesn't like occasionally, but he doesn't complain about it at all so it's been good. The maintenance of the facility is fine. The only question I have is that he likes his window view, looking out to the West and the sunset, but the windows have been dirty and they've never had anybody come and clean them. So I think it's because of the help with the people they contract out, is what I've heard. But that's a minor complaint compared to the care he's been given. He has done a lot of the activities, he's gone on their bus trips, and he seems to enjoy what they offer. I think the value for money is quite reasonable compared to other places.

I visited The Gables of Brigham City Assisted Living. They were very kind and very informative. The facility itself was very clean and very well organized. The residents we saw were very happy to be there. The staff who assisted me was very friendly. The room was nice and very easy. The kitchen area, the dining area, the game room, and the activity room were all very nice. Their food was good. It was very clean, modern, and very well presented. It was very nice.

I toured The Gables of Brigham City Assisted Living. The person who showed me the facility was the manager. She was very, very helpful. It was much smaller than where my mom is at, and it's assisted living. She didn't give me a calendar or schedule of events. They feed them and help them with what they need. It just had a more dreary feeling because of the state of the people more than anything. It was clean. The cost was significantly higher. My mother would share a room, versus having her own room. She could have her own room, but it would have cost even more. It's twice what her budget was. It's located near hospitals and restaurants. Brigham City is a very small town.

The Gables of Brigham City Assisted Living was very pleasant. They were very nice people, and we were quite impressed with the facility. They provide assisted living and they also have a facility for Alzheimer's and dementia patients next door. The rooms would be very comfortable, and they're very clean and nice. They provide a physical therapist that comes in on an as-needed basis, which I thought was very good. That's one of the things that my dad could probably use. They have activities available if you wanted to engage in them. Right now, it's one of the places that we're looking at seriously. Just based on a couple of casual conversations we had with some people, it sounds like the food was wonderful. The administrator and the nurse staff were very nice. One of the big positives that kind of won us over is how gracious they were and everything along those lines.

I toured the Gables of Brigham City and the woman who met me was very caring. She was very kind and she asked a lot of questions about my needs. The facility was clean, roomy, and I felt very comfortable with my visit.

The building is very nicely remodeled, however their website boasts of accommodations that they do not currently provide. They do not have a vehicle to transport for even doctors appointments, let alone out of facility activities. There are no daily exercise programs, or even any exercise equipment or therapists. They have no daily activities scheduled, though they occasionally have something put together. They are not highly staffed either. My advice would be to ask specific questions in touring facilities. If meals are important, ask who cooks the meals and ask to see the current months menu. If activities are important, ask to see the current activities calendar.

Good place if you strictly need memory care. It's good decent food and activities. It's fenced all the way around which gives it kind of an odd feel but it's exactly what you need for severe memory issues. If you don't really really really need memory care look at Maple Springs, or even Country Lane if you have to. (They are neighbors to the Gables on the south and north side) Overall, it's a nice facility and they tell me it will get nicer later on.
