My aunt has been a resident there or 10 months. I can't say enough about to patience of the leadership and staff. The facility is very nice and the individual rooms AR very nice as well. There are a lot of activities for the residence and everyone seems to enjoy the meals. I've been very happy with my decision to place my aunt that New Haven.

New Haven of Wylie was very nice. The staff person that I spoke to there, Elizabeth, was wonderful. She was not only pleasant, but she was working with the residents. I was just so impressed that she was putting residents first. While she acknowledged me, her priority was the residents getting what they needed. The eating area looks nice enough. I thought their flexibility and the dining options were wonderful. There was a little lady there who, at noon, decided she wanted breakfast, and they made sure she got breakfast. That was impressive, too. It's nice, clean, and new, but this one is more nursing home setting. It's a higher level of care though so it seems kind of more medical in nature, not quite homey.

My loved one was at New Haven for 2.5 years.New management came in early June. Since that time, meds are not being ordered, meals are late, and staff don't answer call buttons. Cleaning supplies aren't being ordered. Residents and staff are unhappy. Some staff have walked out because they got tired of verbal harassment. Corporate doesn't step in and address the issue which is New management.

I have been really hesitant to write a review but feel like it is necessary. First off the rooms are a little small but very nice, the building is beautiful.. But the quality of this place has gone way down. This place is under new administration and it shows. The administrator is short at times rude and just not nice to the staff. When in visiting my loved one the staff are like robots they appear to be walking on eggshells with everything that they do. I overheard the new administrator Michelle yelling at a staff member "it does not take that long to wash dishes!" The way I have overheard her speak to the staff is very demeaning. It used to be such a happy place and I loved my loved one being there. I have to be honest that I am at this time shopping around. This building continues to lose very good people. The activity director that all of the residents absolutely loved apparently walk out along with some of the other caregivers. The state has been in this building multiple times since new administration. The residents does not appear to be happy. Management is not out talking and greeting with them from what I've seen. I am very disappointed in the corporate leadership. This has to be about more than money. Hope things changes or we will move indefinitely. All I will say is buyer beware.

The people in New Haven of Wylie are very helpful. The rooms are not quite as big, but they are clean. I was impressed with the staff. The facilities were very nice. The lunch that I had was very good; everything was homemade. I liked that place. The staff was very helpful, and they seemed to be very caring with the people. They were having lunch, so I had lunch with them and I was impressed with the staff that were helping the people. They have some physical therapy, movie nights, and game nights. The dining area was very nice and very homey. It was very clean. It's only about two years old. They have patio areas so people can go outside.

Mom lived here from Jan-Oct of last year. She declined quickly while there. We found out she was over medicated during the day due to not sleeping at night. Medication was ordered for sleep but the nurse never transcribed it to the medication administration sheet so it was never given. Corporate gal swept it under the rug, and really seemed not to care. The rooms were nice sized, but non ambulatory residents were sat in the living room all day and had very little activity. Most activities were held in the AL building, and the memory care residents were left in front of the tv most of the time. One activity was to give them play dough. Mom ate her blue play dough, because of little supervision. As a nurse with well over 20 years experience, I chose to move mom to another memory care facility with structured activities for dementia/ Alzheimer’s. Though the Assisted Living is nice, I do not recommend this facility for Memory Care

New Haven of Wylie has two buildings,; memory care and one assisted living, and mom will be going into the assisted living facility. It's brand new, it has granite, and it's more like a house instead of apartments. There were only 14 residents in each facility and it's very small. The nurse director was very nice and very helpful. The dining area was a large kitchen where the residents can go any time and they have individual tables for four people. There's a beauty shop in the back, a game room, and there's a piano in there.
