My mother is now at Senior Care. Because it's coronavirus, it hasn't been that smooth. It hasn't been pleasant. I haven't gotten a lot of feedback from people when I ask questions. I understand that they're busy, so I wouldn't ding them for it, but it hasn't been great. I know they're busy. Sometimes I get somebody on the phone and they're really helpful, but at other times I get somebody on the phone that just passes me off to another number that they know nobody is going to be at. We have recently been able to visit my mother in the last six weeks. They let us come in for a one-hour visit. It's a beautiful building. It's well maintained. It's lovely outside with beautiful patios and gardens. My mother's room is nice and well taken care of. She is not eating because she is not that hungry. The food that they brought her when I was there, some of it looked wonderful, and some of it looked very interesting at best.

I left against medical advice. Sub standard care. Couldn't get medicines on time. Had a room mate that was a a fall risk, fall during the night. No one came when I pushed the call bell. Had to struggle to get to the door without stepping on her to yell for help.

Was in rehab for about 2 months! The rehab staff was excellent! You could tell they cared! There were some nurses who were wonderful while there were other you could tell needed another occupation! There were a few cna's who really cared. However there were some who were only there for a paycheck! The food was not tasty! If you ate in your room your food was normally cold! They had many activities for the residents! The housekeeping kept every thing clean! Rooms are small and Having 2 tv's didn't work well!

Recently had a family member pass away at this facility. She had been there for 4 years. When she passed, they sent her body to the funeral home with someone else's eyeglasses. They told us they couldn't find hers. Really? In addition, the glasses they sent, had the lense missing out of one . How could they do something so heartless and inconsiderate? They KNEW they weren't hers and they KNEW, one of the lens was missing. This place is HORRIBLE.

This facility is horrible. The staff is under trained, extremely uncaring and unprofessional. We placed my mother here for rehab after a hospital stay. She had a stroke 2 years ago and does not speak. The staff did not listen to us about how she had to have her medications given to her. So instead of giving her meds to her with applesauce one pill at a time and making sure she swallowed them, the person giving her the meds stuffed them in her mouth, they melted and ran out of her mouth. Having a mouthful of melted meds cause the inside of her mouth and throat to be blistered and she could not swallow. The person that gave her the meds thought she was throwing them up and tried to blame my mother. She was unable to help herself and the staff there cause her to have an injury. She was admitted to this facility on the Friday, January 18th, 2019 around 5:00 p.m. and we removed her from the facility on Sunday, January 20th,2019 in the a.m. she now has to have a feeding tube. DO NOT TAKE YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS TO SENIOR CARE REHAB ON MIDWESTERN PARKWAY IN WICHITA FALLS,TEXAS.

I would not recommend this facility to anyone. Our relative's stay here was only a few days until we could get them to another facility. The staff sits around the nursing station with call buttons going off and they do not move. Our relative was immobile and we found the call button on the floor the majority of the times we entered the room. There were very few staff members that truly seemed to care. The physical therapy department is good, if you can trust that your loved one can sustain the rest of the visit to make it to therapy. All of the family's concerns were not addressed for long. This was not the first visit to this facility. This would have been the 3rd stay - obviously there has been a change in management. Stay away!

My husband was transferred here four days after a knee replacement surgery. The driver of the transfer vehicle jammed his knee and leg into the back of the drivers seat when loading him to the facility. When he arrived the nurse that was doing the original check in ran him into the door way which cut his arm. He was then left in a room. He was supposed to have a walker to get around. They refused to give him one until a therapist saw him and ordered one. They also couldn't or wouldn't give him pain medications. We were told it would take a hour to get the medication. Four hours later he still had not been given any. We finally called his surgeon and had him prescribe pain meds and have him released to go home. This place is ridiculous. All the nurses were in the hall having a big party instead of caring for the patients. Would never recommend to any one. In regards to the bills, We have tried to call multiple times and they will not return phone calls. I finally sent a letter and they called but hung up on me.

My husband spent some time in rehab at Senior Care Center. We were very pleased with the care he received and the therapy was excellent. The therapists were very encouraging and attentive. In fact the atmosphere was so friendly that other patients praised each other's success. The nurses were very personable and caring. Some of the aids became like family, and were very helpful. It is very inviting the way it is decorated and seems like home. The food was excellent and my husband developed some special friendships with the patients he shared his meals with. The staff is very accommodating if you would like to eat with your family member. The doctor visits regularly and stays on top of things and is there if something comes up. We were so pleased that we returned there after an unexpected hospital visit. I would highly recommend Senior Care Center for a loved one.

My Father was at Senior Care for rehab for several months and just left in March 2017. The staff was always friendly and genuinely seemed to care about his well being. Their physical therapy department was also good and the therapists cared about him and his progress. Another good thing about their PT was that the other PT patients encouraged one another each day and became friends. The dining room was bright and welcoming and they actually had really good food, Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend Senior Care to anyone needing a place to rehab.

My father suffered a stroke and after his initial hospital stay and post hospital rehab stay, he was still unable to come home. We chose Senior Care after several friend's parents had rehabbed there. We were very pleased with the level of care provided to my dad. He was not mobile on his left side, so he required more assistance than some. Staff was extremely friendly and caring, ensuring all of his needs were met. He underwent 2 months of therapy in their PT dept. and the staff there were highly skilled and very caring. They made him feel special and he looked forward to seeing them every day. The facility was clean, well decorated and friendly. The meals were very tasty and always served hot. For a short time, my father had issues with his dentures and required his food be "mechanical blend". They were very accommodating to this request. You can also purchase meal tickets for $4 and eat with your family member/friend. They require a 2 hour notice to have time to prepare. Nursing staff and aides were very nurturing and caring. Nurses were well skilled. However, there were some nights his c-pap was not put on him, so he did not rest well. Once that was addressed, we were very pleased.

My mom has been at Senior Care for 2 1/2 years now. I can't say enough good about this facility. The care is outstanding. The facility is beautiful and always clean. The workers are so very gentle with the residents. The nurses take care of any needs we may have. The staff is very friendly and personable. When you have to make the decision to place your loved one in a home, it is a very tough decision. I would not hesitate to refer Senior Care to any family or friend. I live out of town and it is very comforting to know that she is in good hands. Not only am I familiar with the Long Term Care side, but my dad was in rehab there for several months. Again the care for him was outstanding. Thank you Senior Care for all you do.

We've been really pleased with Senior Care Health & Rehabilitation Center, and the food is excellent. They're always looking in on my mom around the clock, and she's never alone. She enjoys and likes everyone there, they're very friendly and sweet to her, and they help her out. They've exceeded my expectations. There's an attending physician and when she went off her meds for her UTI, I mentioned that they ought to check to see if she still has the infection because it didn't clear up the first time, and they did immediately and put her on a different pack of medications. It is immediate care, and I can just call the doctor. They're in semi-private rooms, but in many ways, it's like a hospital.

My husband had been to Senior Care Health & Rehabilitation. They were very thorough, and they took very care of him. The therapy department was excellent. The staff was very friendly, and very helpful. They were there to help him if he needed any help. He was there for two weeks. However, the food was lousy. He did not like the food. They were things that he did not eat. I ate with him several times, and it was not good. They did not have a lot of real meat. They looked like they had processed meat. Instead of chicken, it was processed chicken, and things like that. They took their patients to the doctor’s appointment. They seemed to have plenty of staff. They had like an empty bed in each room so that a person had a more or less private room, and that was very nice. They had the pharmacy pills there within a short period of time. He had some unusual pills that were not in their stock of pills, and they got them the next day. That was pretty good.

Lack of communication between staff and family members. Found several issues that will be reported to the state. Two family members removed for lack of care. Would not refer this place to anyone who wanted quality care for their loved one.
