My mother is a resident at Royal Estates of Wichita Falls. I think it's a very nice place. The gal that is in charge of activities for the residents, she can come up with some pretty crazy, wild things, and new different things, and not always the same things that they're offering. So, Mom likes that there is a variety. They ask the residents for things that they want to do or see or go to, which I think is good. The meals are average. Sometimes Mom said that their menu planning is kind of strange, so then she'll just order off the menu that you can always get like a hamburger or a grilled cheese. It's an older facility, but it's in good shape. The staff is friendly. Mom got into a room that was just remodeled, so her room is absolutely gorgeous. The facility doesn't have that good of a place for sitting outside. The courtyard that they have is kind of old with a cracked sidewalk. With Mom on her walker and not that steady on her legs, I guess I'm not comfortable with that. But she goes out to Walmart and they take her. Right now, we're happy with the place, but we can see that she's going to need more and more assistance in the future.

I went to tour Royal Estates of Wichita Falls, but once I started talking to the lady I realized that the care level wasn't appropriate for my mother-in-law. It was a really nice place and the services were great, but she has dementia and needs a little bit more supervision. It was clean and the staff was very helpful. They said that if they noticed that somebody didn't come for breakfast they'd go check up on them. Sometimes people don't wanna eat breakfast or they don't feel good, and the nurses would go check up on them, but they would keep an eye on people to make sure that they came down for their meals. They have a lot of activities, they take them out, and at the time, they were getting ready to go out to the casino. The person who assisted me was very helpful. She gave me a tour of the place and all the different activities they had going. And they had a calendar of what the meals were going to be like for the whole month because some of the residents wanted to know in advance whether they wanted to eat there. The ones that could still drive could go out and eat somewhere else. They also have a calendar of activities going on. I didn't get to see the food, but I saw the menu, and it was varied and looked really good.

I liked Royal Estates of Wichita Falls. The community was very nice. They had nurses if you got worse and you could get home health as life progressed. The rooms were wonderful. The food menu looked good. The place was clean. There were lots of things to do. They take lots of trips and you could sign up for those. Lacee was super nice. I appreciate that she gave me a really good tour. She told me all the things I needed to know and gave me a pamphlet. They gave me a lot of information. I took a lot of pictures and I got all the information I needed to know. They sat down with me and went over everything. I was happy with the tour. I looked at their menu and it had several options. They had breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you came down and it was after breakfast, they still had breakfast items after a certain hour. I didn't eat their food, but it smelled good and it looked good. They had several gaming rooms, a movie room with a large TV and nice lounge chairs, a card room, a game room, hobby rooms that had tables with puzzles on them, a beauty shop, and other rooms where you could just sit and watch the games or TV. They were in the process of redoing a lot of rooms, and they showed me what they were doing. It was nice, very clean, and pretty inside.

The lady that gave me the tour at Royal Estates of Wichita Falls was very knowledgeable. There were a lot of questions that I didn't have to ask because she already informed me of different things. What I liked and the thing that stands out for me is that it's been the best, and I get 10 percent off the rent each month, and that continues forever. I like that, but I liked everything about it. I like that they have a pool table, the arts and crafts, the card games and the movies in the theater room. I just like the setup, like the way the stairs are right in the middle of the whole thing, so it's easy to know where you're at. Everybody is very friendly, it's just awesome. I like that the meals here are only $6, as opposed to the other place where the meals are $10. And if you have guests, all you have to do is pay $6 for them to eat. Laundry is also just $6 a load, so that was very reasonable. They gave me a brochure with floor plans and a whole bunch of information. They have dryers and washers for free, I need my own detergent and laundry supplies.

We liked Royal Estates of Wichita Falls' location and we also liked the apartment. It's a little old apartment but the facilities were super clean and nice. It's nice, it doesn't feel depressing and dark. It was light and clean. She doesn't use the dining area, we're having her meals delivered to her room. I've tasted a meal there and what I had was good. They had a board with a list of activities. I saw people playing cards and dominoes. The value for money is good as compared to some of the others that we inquired about.

My mother wanted to go to Royal Estates of Wichita Falls. They had big rooms and a full size kitchen. They had two really nice garden areas. The apartment was nice, and we were there Christmas time, so it was well decorated. The staff was very friendly. They had an exercise room, and 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments. It was pretty nice inside.

My mother is in Royal Estates of Wichita Falls. It looks just like the other senior places. The dining area is like a restaurant, and she likes the food there. They have amenities, like a salon, an exercise room, billiards room, and a place where they play bingo and other games. It's a nice community, and the staff seems nice to me.

My mom lives here and I am trying very hard not to move her out. When I started looking for the best place for her about 5 years ago I was very impressed with all the staff. They were very friendly, the lobby felt like a front porch with residents out talking and the staff visiting with them as well. Angel assisted me in learning all I could about Royal Estates and I felt right at home. I felt my decision to move her there was the best for us all. Anytime I would have a question or concern Charlotte's door was always open. My mom was treated like a queen and more importantly Angel and Charlotte treated her like their very own family. I have watched things deteriorate since their departure. I had high hopes with the experience Becky had working there that things would rock along nicely. I'm not sure when she is working as we don't see her out in the community and her door is always closed. I have talked with other family members of residents thinking maybe I was not in and out enough to make this claim but all agree with me. What is going on? What has happened to the family atmosphere we all so loved? Now I am back to the drawing board out relooking into her options. She has made many friends and I know she would hate to leave them. But as a family we must feel comfortable with letting her remain in what some are calling "a hospital environment". Hospitals are cold and unfeeling and that is what we are all seeing. I do not recommend Royal Estates at this moment and that makes me sad. I will not be signing my name at this time in fear of retaliation on my mom.

They have very nice people at Royal Estates. I like their dining facility. It was open three hours in the morning, three hours for lunch, and three hours in the evening, so you can come down during any time frame. They also have a very nice foyer area and a little courtyard area where you can take your animals out. A lot of people were out walking around, talking and socializing with everybody. They were very happy. The residents would leave the door open. They would decorate their doors, and they were very beautiful. They only have like a living room and a bedroom, but they did some pretty creative things with them. The staff was very nice. I didn't meet anybody that was rude. Every time I saw somebody, I would look at them, and they would smile back.

My mother-in-law is at Royal Estates of Wichita Falls. The staff has been great. They have been very supportive because she is hesitant to be there. They have good communication between the families. They have different crafts. They also have Bible study and bingo. They also have shopping trips once or twice a week. The food was good.

Angel and her staff have made the transition into senior living a wonderful experience for my parents. The energy you feel when you come through the front doors of Royal Estates is positive and vibrant. Everyone is friendly and helpful, from the concierge at the front desk to the waiters in the dining room. Royal Estates has a very comfortable atmosphere. The work that was done on my parents apartment before move-in was top notch. We needed shower doors removed and closet bars lowered to meet my step-father's needs and everything was done and finished in way that showed caring and respect. We are VERY happy with our experience!

From the very beginning, Royal Estates has made the transition of moving my loved ones a very easy experience. We are always greeted with positive attitudes and professionalism. Angel and the entire staff have been helpful every step of the way. The facilities are always clean and newly renovated. We would recommend Royal Estates to anyone looking for an assisted living home for their loved ones.
