My daddy is at Sodalis Victoria Assisted Living. The environment is very warm, kind, and nice. His room is just kind of small. He needs a bigger one. He's in a two-bedroom, but the living room is really small, so he needs something without the two bedrooms. Other than that, everything is good. He is new there. So it's taking him time to get adjusted and the staff is nice to him and paying attention to his behavior. They offer bingo and happy hours on certain days. They also get in a theater together. What I like about the food is that everything is fresh. It's like they cook their food according to the resident's diet choices. Another thing I like about it is there's not a bunch of starch. It's like a balanced meal. They need to improve on their rounds. When they go and check on the residents, there should be more communication. Likewise, when it comes down to the bathing because he just started there, they don't even know when his shower is supposed to be and they are not even sure when they're supposed to do the laundry. When you get out of bed, you should have your day clothes on, not your night clothes on, and when he gets out of bed, you should fix his bed where he wants to lay down in there with another cover or something so he can watch TV. It's like they don't have a set schedule. I don't know if they're overworked or have too many things on the staff, I'm not sure, but that needs to be improved.

When we did the tour of Sodalis Victoria Assisted Living, it was the first time we are going into one of these; we don't have anything to compare it to. The hostess was extremely graceful, full of information, and helpful. We were able to see the different facilities. Theirs are a little less expensive than what the other one is. Another thing is, that they're a big organization. They won't have you moving around if your condition changes or escalate. You won't constantly be having to move to a different area with different people in different locations. A move by itself is kind of a hard thing, but that kind of is under control there. Those were the positive things. The parking was just a whole lot better there. I have a kidney problem, and my husband has a mental problem. We have different issues, but it was helpful to see what they had. They have a lot more amenities. They have rooms for four, doctors will come and visit, and have a lot of big, common areas and all. You get a lot more space in their apartments; they're a lot larger and much more spacious. They're a little costly, but they will work with you from talking to the long-term care person. They will work with you to accomplish whatever your needs are. It was impressive to me that if both my husband and I were in there, they would keep us together (even though we're different and all so). They have different focuses on things, and they were very cooperative. It looks like they'll work with you really well. They wanted to make sure you were there; they did call several times to make sure that you were coming. The one that led the tour was really good. She was there early. One thing that they do is that they had the doors locked. They don't let you come in. You just don't open a door. She was sitting right there waiting for us. We got there maybe 10 minutes early, but she was waiting for us to let us in. It was a plus. They have cleaning mechanisms, and they do all kinds of things to make sure that you do not have any COVID. They were on top of it, and they do clean constantly.

We looked at Elmcroft of Victoria assisted living in Victoria. It's a nice facility but it needs some updating. We weren't crazy about the rooms or the size of the rooms either. The layout was not as nice as the other place we chose for my mom. It just seems small. Their 1-bedrooms are all open and we did not like that. My mother likes the fact of having a living area and a separate bedroom area that's close. The person who accommodated us was superb, she was wonderful. Their dining area was a very nice, big, and open area. We did not eat any food over there but they said their food was very good. They have a beauty salon and a fitness center. They just need to do some updating and I don't know if that's in the budget or not. The layout of the facility is very nice. There's nothing they're going to be able to do to change the rooms but we didn't like the way the rooms were laid out. That wasn't as appealing to my mother as the rooms over at the other place.

My mother moved into the Elmcroft of Victoria. I liked the care they've given to my mother, they're very professional, their management is impeccable, and they've been able to take care of several bouts with her health, and it's very encouraging. It's a three-level facility and they do a good job. The staffers are on top of things, they've done extremely well, and kept me well informed. I've eaten there on three occasions and I find it well above average. They play dominos, they play bingo, and senior appropriate stuff.

My mother was in Elmcroft of Victoria. She was happy there, they took good care of her. She was there for about three months, and she needed assistance for a while. The only problem I ever had with them was returning calls. The food was good. The lady who ran the place, actually drove to Victoria to go in, and brought me all the paperwork to get it done, and that was a plus.

Elmcroft of Victoria was nice. The room was nice but not as nice as my mother-in-law's room now. The staff members who accommodated me were lovely and were very nice. They had bingo and they had a crafts area.

The rooms at Elmcroft of Victoria were set up more like a nursing home, and you have a roommate. The facility was nice and clean. They gave us the tour and showed us everything. The people seemed very friendly, but I am not ready for that route. It had a nice library.

In mine & my families OPINION WE Would NOT every put any family member here. We put my stepmother in Elmcroft. In a two week period the made her very very dehydrated, malnourished and she became ill with pneumonia. They almost killed her... she is still very ill & probably will never recover. This is after being in the hospital over two weeks.DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONES IN ELMCROFT IN VICTORIA TEXAS!!! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING BUT THE MONEY.

Considering the facility, and my mother’s lifestyle; the top place for us was Elmcroft. The staff members were excellent. They had bingo, cards, and church services. We were invited for a meal, and I thought the food was excellent.

Elmcroft has been great. I've been very pleased. The services of the people and the friendliness are outstanding. Everything seems to be well-managed, and it seems to be clean. I didn't see any problems with it. The staff seems great. It's a very good place. I like it.

We visited several facilities and one of them was Elmcroft. It's a very nice place, very nice apartments and they do have a full service of assisted living there. I was totally impressed with the facility.

My relative has been at Elmcroft of Victoria over a year now. I was initially impressed with Elmcroft due to neatness and security. I have been rather disappointed that it was left in such a mess for so long during remodeling. It was very depressing for the residents. It took over 9 months to paint the hallway, replace carpet in hallways and get nameplates back on the doors. Also disappointed in the extremely high turnover of employees there. Hopefully management will get their act together and start operating in a more professional manner.

My mother is currently at Elmcroft of Victoria and so far so good. We really don't have any complaints about the facility. My mother likes the food. My concerns are just with regards to the high turnover of their staff and that is quite concerning because that would cause confusion to the seniors. This is the reason why I've rated them a bit low, but I would recommend this place.

I looked at Elmcroft, and I was very impressed with it. The only thing is that it's arranged differently because they have assisted living to nursing home versus retirement to assisted, so it's a totally different clientele. The only thing I would change is the courtyard. They've planted these trees that I just had cut down from my yard, and with those trees the courtyard becomes unpleasant. The room we saw was in excellent shape. The staff was very nice, very friendly, very professional, and very accommodating.

Everyone was so friendly and courteous. The residents seemed very happy and in good spirits, and when I came in to visit them, I could notice this happiness shine through. The rooms looked very well kept, and I even visited residents in the room where they eat their meals. The meals looked decent in portions, and there was a nice cheerfulness to the room where the residents chatted amongst themselves, and us. The rooms not only were well kept, but also well equipped with the best in home goods like comfortable bed clothes and decent furnishings. One of the residents informed me that Target and Walmart were nearby, so it was no problem to give these residents the best. I noticed a lot of cheerfulness in the room I was here, the assistants that helped out seemed cheerful, taking their time with residents that needed it. A very lovely place!
