There were both positive and negative things about wynwood. some positive aspects of this assisted living facility was that the elderly had friends that were there, and they could talk to each other all day long about the good days. I also like the fact that there was a big dinning area that way the residents didn't have to eat alone unless they wanted too. My grandmother enjoyed her own private room where it felt like home, but had assistance when needed. Overall it seemed like a nice place to be except i felt that the care could have been better. there were times when my grandmother needed assistance but it took up to an hour for assistance to get to here.

We decided to stop in at Wynwood of Vernon assisted living facility as it was convenient for my brother's friend's family and friends to visit. The building was very well maintained and appeared pleasant throughout. The outer grounds were also very pretty with a nice courtyard and seating areas. The staff was able to take care of a variety of people, from those with memory issues to those less ambulatory. The living spaces were spacious and well-designed. All of the areas were pleasant to be in. There were plenty of professional, yet friendly staff to take care of all of their needs. Every dietary concern seemed to be well addressed. The dining rooms were restaurant style, cozy, warm and still fresh. There was a variety of types of food available - for example, choices ranged from a complete meal to snacks or lighter fare, for those who wanted it. The facility activities list was impressive. From board games to films, socializing and discussions, there were a wide variety of many interesting things to do for the residents. Planned outside excursions include many healthy physical activities so that the seniors can enjoy everything that the region has to offer. They also have planned exercise classes and encourage physical activity each day. The private rooms were decorated tastefully with a homey, light and airy atmosphere. Each unit has nice views of the surrounding area. Bathrooms were equipped with safety seats and rails. All of the seniors looked very well cared for and seemed quite content living within this environment. They had plenty of freedom and just the right amount of care required.
