Very clean and fresh smelling. Amazing staff especially Sherry and Raven. My Mom is very happy there and that is all that really matters. I’m in my 70s and a retired RN so I have some experience in this area. I would be content there as well. I’ve seen many nursing homes and Greenbrier ranks among the top five I have seen so far.

Greenbrier was small, and there were several people busy caring for the clients. It was clean, homey, pleasant, and smelled fresh. The grounds were nicely kept. The yard was manicured, clean, and had a nice outdoor sitting area. The trash receptacles were clean and had fresh liners. The public restrooms had keys for you to get in. The pricing was average.

My husband was at Greenbrier Nursing of Tyler for about a month. The facility is clean. The rooms have two beds, but they didn’t provide TV. Their dining room is more like a little cafe. They have an intercom system wherein they would make announcement which is quite noisy and my husband is very sensitive to that. Their therapy facility is very small.

I have visited this nursing home approximately 25 times in the past three years. Greenbriar nursing home is an older facility located in Tyler, TX. The nursing looks as old as it is though the owners have made efforts to modernize the building. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a homelike feel. With that being said, I believe that Greenbriar provides good care to its residents. This is the most important factor of all when trying to find a home for a loved one. If you can get past the looks of the home, I believe you will find the care satisfactory. This nursing home is more geared towards caring for long-term residents rather than patients who plan on receiving therapy and going back home. Greenbriar recently (within the past two years) opened up a secured memory care wing. It is a good option if your loved one has Alzheimer's and has a tendency to wander. Also, many of the staff have worked at Greenbriar for a long time. This is quite rare as nursing homes often have a high turnover rate. I would rate this nursing home a "four out of five".
