the big stuff. my wound is healing. they stretched my hamstrings, dr cut my callouses off my bad heel. wound 75% healed in a month amazing. delighted!!! feel good, alive and very appreciative. overriding generalization is everyone is in a rush. they need to slow down and look at the patient. multitasking and taking shortcuts is counterproductive to male patients. only a handful of men, men are more relaxed. Chris and Tim take time and the women are all afraid of getting fired. Women are to worried about doing something wrong. Where am i supposed to put dirty linen. Wonderful nurse Versi, very good. like her a lot. good bedside manner. treats you like your not trailer trash. Cnas should be trained on the beds. not easy to train people. everyone learns in a differnet way. Love the colors, beds are comfortable and simple. fing perfect. need shelf in bathroom. not enough shelf space. and i was by myself. in shower. brought own. no soap dish on wall and another hook in shower. food is pretty good. limitations on what you can do. small refinement. wedge of lemon served with fried fish. scrambled egg scouped with ice cream scoup, bacon is always bunched up and looks like scrap bacon. put bowl on plate and black cover. air gap on bowl and food gets cold. bowl should not be put on plate. inventive menus, red beans and rice. no fresh fruit. salads are hard to get. weekends are a disaster. 4 occasions told no salads. what is there a shortage in california on lettuce. im not your typicla patient. corporate guy .i worled for ge. frustration is the key. in a foreign environment and all new to me. toilet not working correctly, put an old fashioned flapper in it. classical music does stuff that tv cant. sundays the sabbath maybe you should pump some classical music in the hallways. little saucers that are so cute. what if you had a gourmet shrimp dish butter black pepper. 3 jumbo shrimp in butter garlic as a side. it would be nice. brighten up uniforms. very sweet and philosophical staff

Not a good nursing home for your love one. The nurses sit at the nurses station talking on the phone. The CNA hides and don't answer lights, don't check on the residents, don't give them water don't change them when they are wet in bed or out of bed. Doesn't do therapy with the resident that needs it. Incompetent nurses incompetent directors and supervisor. The whole staff need to be trained on how to take care of patients. Do not send your loved one here unless you plan on being here every day to check on them.

Aides are excellent. The rooms are nice, evlcvrpt for the fact they have too much furniture. Food barely eatable. Cold good is consistently at room temperature as well as hot. Iade a bad decision leaving my Mother there so long simply because the Aides too care if physical and emotional needs.a management is at best poor

My husband was moved to this location in August 2015 the worse place he went to the hospital three times in one month. They didn't even call me to tell me he was sent by ambulance to I received call from hospital. Was spitting up blood clots from overdose because they would wheather him sleep. He is legally blind and bedridden so he has to haller for water and to be change.

My brother is at Gulf Health Care. He has been there for 15 months now. The nursing home is okay, but I don't think they're very good with their communication across shifts. That would be my major complaint. The facility is not plush, but it is clean. We chose this facility because it is very close to my sister's house. We've probably wouldn't have selected it except for the location. The room is large enough, but the furniture is very old, so it can be a little bit depressing. It has always been clean, but it is double occupancy. Also, they have a hallway bath; the bath in the room is just a toilet and a sink. On aesthetic and appearance, I would rate it lower; however, as far as basic care -- e.g., medicine being taken care of and the doctor's care -- we are satisfied with the doctor that it is in there, I would give it 4 or a 5 rating. For food, I would give it a 3.

My father is at Gulf Health Care Center since last January. They have taken care of my dad well. The nurses are very good. They still have this nurse to patient ratio problem, but I found this in a lot of places.

My mom is happy at Gulf Health Care Center. They accept Medicare and Medicaid. It looks like they encourage their residents to socialize with other people. Mom also says there is some kind of entertainment that comes in and different church groups also come in. The staff seemed to be pretty pleasant.
