My mom is in Cornerstone Retirement Community. It's wonderful and everything is phenomenal. Since my mom has been there, it was under the coronavirus shutdown, so they can't go anywhere, but they normally take them places. The food was good and the staff was phenomenal. They have a library, a salon, and a big social room, and they are always, always doing fun things. For holidays, such as the Fourth of July, they have all kinds of activities; they cook out on the grill and they have watermelon. It's just awesome. It's probably the best place in Texarkana. It's just expensive, but that's the only thing.

Cornerstone Retirement Community is the best place for seniors living in Bowie County. It's visually aesthetic and top-notch in retirement living. It's absolutely beautiful, with outstanding staff, outstanding facilities, beautiful rooms, and it's just high-end. They have a variety of activities, fitness classes, many opportunities for social exchange, and variety of classes. I didn't have a meal, but I saw people eating and I saw the service. The people looked like they were being served by staff dressed in a high-end restaurant-style. And they also have a different but beautiful dining area. The whole place is just beautiful. You can also go to an area where you can get deli-style things, there's just a variety of choices in cuisine that you can get any time. There's also an ice cream parlor, a chapel, a gym, meeting rooms, and there's almost like a little rotunda. It's a luxurious retirement community. You've got to have a lot of money to live there; the downpayment is high.

My dad moved into Cornerstone. It's been okay, he's had a few falls, but all in all, it's okay, and they're trying real hard. They've done a real good job. The dining area is in good shape, the food was very good, well balanced, and good portions. The room is very spacious, they keep it very clean. I would recommend it, because the staff is really involved, they're on top of things, they contact me any time he's had a fall, or having a bad day.

My mother has been a resident of Cornerstone Texarcana for a while. My mother goes to the cafeteria once a day at noon. They don't have three meals a day, but you can go down to the bistro and buy something for your last meal. When she first arrived there they played bingo and she enjoyed that; they also watched movies. One of the things she learned there was line dancing, and they had an exercise class that she would go to faithfully. They have a system so that they can check on the residents. They went around at night and they would flip the little tag on your door, and when they made the rounds at 10:00 in the morning to check on you they would flip the tag back. Or at least that's what they're supposed to do. Just recently, my mother panicked and was hyperventilating so she pushed her little emergency button and the staff came and got her to the hospital. The people there know my mother and are very friendly. Lately she has been having an aide come in and help her in the morning and in the evening, especially to bathe her, but this is extra. I thought that the food was very good. Some of the food is better than others, and my mother is tired of what they're serving. I think the price is very much comparable and it's comfortable there.

Cornerstone Retirement Community is a beautiful facility located in Texarkana TX. I had the pleasure of visiting a relative there once to every other week and each time I went, I noticed the good mood that she was in and the well kept appearance that she always exhibited. The staff has always been friendly and even allowed me to help her while I was there and always asked if I needed assistance with anything. Her room was always supplied with the necessary materials needed and her medications were always administered on time. She was given three full meals daily, cooked fresh from the kitchen. This facility included a game room, observation area, park, community room and each resident had their own room. Residents were free to visit other residents and also sit up front with the staff. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone looking for an assisted living/retirement community.

I have visited several assisted living homes, as well as nursing homes around the Ark-La-Tex areas for the past several years. I recently visited the Cornerstone Assisted Living housing in Texarkana, Texas. I will say that this facility is very clean, the staff is very welcoming and friendly. They do have a lot plan a lot of activities for the residents in the home, such as Bingo and playing cards. The housing, depending on what you are looking for and if it is just for you or for you and someone else, Cornerstone is one of the assisted living facilities that is in the higher price range because it is so well known around the community, and has very good staff that keeps up with he upkeep of the place. I believe if you are still somewhat of an independent person, but need a little help, then this is the place for you to go.
