This is an extremely nice place, much nicer than the other facilities in this town. The staff are caring and very helpful. Jenna was such a nice lady and very well educated in helping you with everything required for admission.

This place is not very organized, The food is always sandwichs and soup, no flavor to meals. The residents are starving and wasting away on junk food.

My mother went to Rock Creek after surgery for rehab & they were only choice bc she was Covid pos with no symptoms. As most facilities they are short handed. They talk a good talk when they are trying to get your business. I was very unhappy after finding her in feces & urine up to her neck at times. Skin breakdown happened quickly after only 3 weeks. She has since passed, no sympathy at all when I went to retrieve clothing. Do not send your loved one here!

The physical therapist was phenomenal. My mom refused to leave until she said good bye to her! MOST of the nursing staff was good with a few exceptions. The food was great according to my mom. She keeps telling me where mine fails short compared to theirs, lol. She was there for short term rehab and they did a superb job!

First off l was told my husband could not stay there, he has advanced dementia. He had brain surgery then he was admitted there but of course he was always asleep & not up. No trouble they thought! They never took him off sleepy time meds so he never woke up for the first week or so! I would visit him all day & he never woke up except at nite and he would roam the halls, go into other rooms etc, they said l needed to get a sitter for him for the time l was not there. It would have been around $1,000.00 a week if l could find one for only $10.00 a hour! In all actuality they had to provide one at there cost and they did so not happy about it tho! Day nurses did not want to deal with him so they keep him on sleepy time meds all day & the nite nurse had to deal with him, now remember day time they have so much more staff then nite. One nurse & one Cna. It took almost a month for the throat test! He was with out water for over a month but the aids gave him water as they did not know he was not suppose to get any! I asked many many times for the test but there was always excuses! I pushed the call button at 1:30 pm for him to be changed and finally at 3:10 pm l told the nurse he was still wet and she said oh l thought the aids would do it before they went off shift & still he had to wait another 15 minutes, when they did come to do it the aid was so rough tossing him from one side to another he opened up his eyes and was so scared l had to hug him and reassure him he was ok! then by gosh she did the same thing when they had to move him to his other side!!!! I should have walked up to the administrator & told him to do something right there and then! I will have to live with my conscience! He had to go to the hospital to be checked for a possible fall, by 6pm he was released we waited for rock creek to come and pick him up well by 9pm l decided to take him back my self! They never did have a driver to pick him up plus l never got an apology from anyone. I will say the therapy people were all very good. The DON was not nice when she called me up to tell me l had to find a new place for him as he was “confrontational “with the other patients and said l had to take him to Mt Pleasant to a behavioral place. I called that place talked to the lady there, she said he did not meet the requirements! as we were talking the Don of rock creek called and said “are you taking or not” she said no. They wanted to get rid of him as they did not want to deal with a dementia patient ! Well they should never have taken him in in the first place, l called a week ago to get they money we had on the books and l wanted all his records, please send check and call me to come and get the records! Never heard from them, that rock creek is really a beautiful place but beauty is not all that important ! I think they should have a nanny cam put in every room so the administrator could see how there staff treats the clients. My husband is in Senior Suits in Emory , it is not beautiful like rock creek but he gets much better care there and he has improved so much! Don’t judge a book by its cover!

Just moved my Father into this facility. What a mistake. Prior to arrival I inspected his room and reported the nurse call switch in the bathroom hanging out of the wall, entry light into his room inoperative and dirty floors in his bedroom and bathroom. Upon Dad's arrival the two maintenance items had been fixed but the floors were still very dirty. Ask again for them to be cleaned. Dad called at 2100 last night to tell me they had not received his medicines. I went to the facility and found that they order meds from Tyler and the fax had been lost somewhere. Had a long talk with the Director of Nursing expressing my extreme displeasure with they way things are going. Reordered meds but no telling when they will arrive. I went to Dad's house and gathered most of the meds required and returned to Rock Creek about 2300 to deliver the meds. Found that the Director of Nursing had mopped his room and bathroom. Went back at 0900 and found they stilll hadn't received all his meds from Tyler. It's Sunday so I can't move him to another facility but will tomorrow. Beautiful facility and friendly staff but mis-managed.

My wife is the DON and she is in fact an RN, studying BSN. My wife has been in the nursing field since age of 17. She loves her job and loves Rockcreek, Rockcreek is an awesome place, Rockcreek has grown in census and staff, they do an awesome job with the resident, they keep em active and involved in the community. Food is fantastic, therapy Dept is out of this world, and nursing care is great. No place is going to be able t please everyone but Rockcreek really tries hard to please everyone

Horrible place, food mostly sandwiches and soup, they come cut the light out and never come back...I am moving my loved one and pray the next nursing home is more compassionate...the new DON is not an RN and they fired the director and his wife quit they were always working overtime trying and the ones that have taken over are degrading....I would never recommend this place and we have been there 8 months but the recent change in management has gotten more patients somehow but half the help does not show up...LOOKS of the building are really deceiving...if you go there be ready to keep a CLOSE check if you love that person

I don't know if they have changed hands since the other reviews were written, but this place is wonderful for my mother. She has so many allergies to foods that it is really hard to please, but she absolutely loves the food they fix for her. They pay very close attention to her food needs and health. The therapy is great for her and every single staff member knows her and shows they care. I don't believe she could be in a better place. Thank you Rock Creek!

The absolute poorest quality of care I have EVER witnessed. Patients are not bathed on a regular basis. Their excuse is that they do not have bath aids or they are out of towels. When you complain to the DNR she will assure that they don't have "bath" aids that all CNA are to give baths. When you here the CNA personally tell the nurses the have can't give any baths because there hall is out of towels. The foods is horrible. They brought my loved one a grilled cheese sandwich that was completely black from being burnt. The food is never hot, and sandwiches is a speciality to serve. Doesn't matter if you write your dislikes, because you can bet that is what will be on your tray with your dislike list right beside. If you pull the call light it could be 30-45 minutes before they come. That is if they don't come in there and turn it off and say "I will be right back" and never return. If you fall it was always the patients fault, NEVER from lack of assistance. When you complain, it is always an isolated incident!! Ummm No!!! It it is so sad to watch the rest of the patients that don't have a loved one to be their voice! It is heart breaking!!!! We are getting the heck OUT OF HERE!!! Don't let the looks deceive you folks.. The liaison should get a raise be because she is good at painting a pretty picture. It is hard for me to understand how these people lay their head down and sleep at night, knowing how these HUMAN BEINGS are being treated. No conscious, I guess. It is said to know that you work hard all your life to end up being treated and disrespected. They need to realize without their patients, they would not have a job. Respect these people they pay your salary!!

Transportation is dangerous Waited 55 min. and had to ask twice for pain meds. Came in on Thursday from the hospital after having hip replaced on Monday, had a shower Wednesday at the hospital and did not get one here for 4 days until I complained. The # they give to call for the Community Development Liaison does not work and when I ask to speak to the person in charge Saturday I am still waiting Monday at noon. I will check out today and will not come back and recommend no one who reads this does either. Food is bad and the phone does not amplify loud enough to hear on good and I have hearing aids. I really feel sorry for the old people here. The only thing I will say is looks are deceiving. The only good thing I can say is the physical therapy is good. What I was told when I toured it and the quality of care I see is two different things. I got morning meds two days at 11:00 11:30 and one day I did not even get my blood thinner to prevent blood clots after my hip replacement.

Twice now I have found out that they are not giving my parent the medication prescribed by the Dr. It is heart medication. Records showed she had been given it but pharamcist called me to say they had not ordered it for two months. If she dies from heart attack, it would be a law suit ready to happen!
