My father-in-law is at Wood Glen Court. It is very clean and the personnel seemed to be smiling and everyone greeted you. So, it seemed to be a happier place. They have the basic amenities. They have a little game room. The rooms are nice, they have studios and one-bedrooms. The staff seemed very responsive and they were quick to react. They don't complain too much. They have cards, dominoes, a pool table, and bingo. It's got a nice and very clean view around it. So, they have a nice outdoor presentation.

I like Wood Glen Court. However, it is big and it's all one story, so it's spread out. It would be too far for my mother to walk from her room to the dining area. I think it was better for someone in their 80s who gets around pretty well, like someone who still is mobile. The person I met was very nice. He took us on a tour of all the rooms, and I thought the rooms were very nice. They were more like apartments. I would have liked to have had that for my mother, but I just don't think she would have left her room. The structure of the facility was superior. It was very clean. I didn't see any people though. It was quiet that day, so I don't know what it's like there, but it just looks nice. It's only nine years old, so it's very new-looking. The room might have like two bedrooms, or it might have a bedroom, a living room, and a kitchen. The kitchens had larger refrigerators than most.

I toured Wood Glen Court. The thing I liked best is the people were friendly. The thing I liked least is that the rooms were small. The staff was nice and friendly. The building looks fine. The atmosphere, it felt alone. The dining area was nice.

We are temporary residents here during the week that our sister community was closed to repair flood damage from broken pipes during the hard freeze. They outdid themselves creating living space for us on short notice, shared their food supply with us refugees even when roads were impassable for resupply and stock was limited. Every member of staff was friendly cheerful and helpful and made us feel welcome and not an imposition. Permanent residents here say that’s just their way with everybody. Food is good, rooms are very nice new comfortable and elder friendly. Executive Director is energetic friendly cheerful very people oriented very pleasant and hands on. She even helped move our stuff in. Can’t say enough nice about this place in Spring. Just wish it was closer to Jersey Village where we have many personal and doctor ties. Don’t know price or activity but they do have church and Bible study that residents like.

I went to Wood Glen Court. The visit was real good. I was pleasantly surprised with everything, and they showed me everything there. The rooms looked real good. They had a private room where you got a small kitchen area, a restroom area, closet, and a bedroom area. It was very clean. It seemed like all the staff could take care of your needs. They were very friendly. I asked a couple of questions, they gave me a quick answer, and they did it with a smile on their face. It looked like they did this for a while, and they're not new at it. It looked like they were experienced.

I'm in assisted living in Wood Glen Court. So far, I'm having difficulty with transportation and I'm spending my morning working on getting appointments and transportation arranged. I have a two-bedroom and it has a walk-in closet. I have my own furniture in here. The services are okay except for transportation. The dining area is large and the food is tolerable. We have a beauty salon that I go to, and I have my own library, but they have one here. They have several activities throughout the day. One reason I came here was because it was cheaper.

The Wood Glenn Court was beautiful. All the staff was extremely friendly, and I couldn’t have gotten better attention. The time they gave me was great. My friend wanted to move there, but her son controlled it. The rooms were spacious. I saw two rooms where one had a bedroom and plenty of room for probably a full-sized bed and a dresser, a refrigerator, a microwave, a sink, and a couple little cupboards. There were two closets for clothes and storage. The bathroom was an adequate size, and you could actually get a wheelchair in there. The shower was nice; you didn’t have to step up over anything. It was just a tiny edge, so it was really nice. The dining room was beautiful. They gave us a free lunch, and the food was really good. My friend was with me, and they actually invited her because they were having a little get-together. One of the ladies had made a refrigerator pie, so they were getting together to visit and have pie.

My mother-in-law is in Wood Glen Court. They have 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and studio apartments. It's very new, and the people are new since it's a new facility. The director -- Melanie -- is wonderful, and the caregivers are all wonderful. They have good food, and people seem happy to have activities. They have Bingo and a bus that takes them out sometimes. It's a really nice facility, and it doesn't smell bad; it's very clean. You do the finger test for dust, and it's very clean. They do the laundry for them, and it's all on one floor.

Wood Glen Court is only a few years old, and it's very nice. The people are very friendly. It's excellent. The grounds are superb. It's a beautiful facility, and it has spacious rooms. The food is very good. The whole interior is well-decorated, the rooms are nice, and the showers are very handicap-friendly. It is just a very nice place.

Wood Glen Court is a nice place, but we might be looking for a different level of care. My dad's in assisted living center, and it doesn’t seem as engaging as it should be. Not that he's depressed about being there. He seems OK, but he does a lot of sleeping, and I don't know if they're doing enough to engage him. The rooms are beautiful. It's a great place, and the people try to help. The staff is just perfect. They send me a calendar in my email, so I can call my dad and try to encourage him to do stuff. There's nothing more that they can do. We may be looking for a place that will make him get up and do things. I don't even know if a place like that exists because I know that the people at Wood Glen Court are bending over backwards to try to get him involved.
