My mom is at The Pines at Oakhurst. It's a small community and the staff is very caring. She'd fallen and broken her hip. And they've just gone above and beyond to make sure she has what she needs. She needs all the care right now. I have not tasted a meal there, but my mom seems to enjoy the food. The place outside, I think it's nice. It's been hot outside, so there's a nice backyard area to go out and look at birds with trees. We haven't had a chance to do that and it's really hot right now, so I'm looking forward to the fall and getting cooler and being able to do that. But the facility's nice and very well-kept.

I visited The Pines at Oakhurst's memory care. It's a converted home, and there's nothing wrong with the conversion, from what I've seen. They typically do a good job when they do conversions like this. They widened the doorways to increase access to bathroom facilities. They made the bedrooms safe too. Most of them had single beds in them so that it was safe for a person to get in and out. The staff were very friendly and very open to any question. I'd say they did a good job. The place was all clean, too. We walked in the kitchen and you can practically eat off the floor.

I liked that The Pines at Oakhurst was a small place. It felt cozy. They had 10 rooms and some were vacant. They had a nice outdoor area. But it was very difficult to find this facility. The street was very narrow, and it was a very busy street. And then there was no sign on the door outside. I had to knock on several houses before I found it. Jamie, a very nice and very welcoming girl, was the only one there, and she gave me a tour. She was very, very helpful even though it seemed to me that she was preparing lunch. I could see her dynamics with the residents there, so she was very good.

My aunt is at the Pines at Oakhurst. She's in memory care. It's a residential home. They could update the furniture in there for the people visiting, but for the residents, it's fine. They've got a living room area for the residents and it's large enough that if some wanted to watch TV in one area, they could, or there's another area, but the decor is not all that up-to-date. It's clean, but there are some things that are kind of strewn about, too. The staff seems great, although they change, so when they start getting used to a certain staff, it rolls over to someone new. Hopefully, that won't happen too often. They do crafts and things. The dining area looks fine, but the food, not so much. I'm having food delivered to her.

The Pines at Oakhurst was truly an answer to prayer for our family. The staff is amazing. The quality of the care given is excellent. The facility isn't fancy but it is always kept clean and safe for the residents. We never felt uneasy or worried about the care that our mom was receiving while she lived there. We would highly recommend this facility.

My husband has Alzheimer's and has been at The Pines for a year. He loves the food. The staff is very caring and very patient. The facility is in a home setting vs institution.

My mother in law lived at the pines for the last few years of her life. It is an exceptional facility with wonderful caring staff. I loved that it is an age in place facility so that even after she broke her hip she was able to go back to the pines instead of a rehab facility. I can’t say enough about the pines and recommend it.

My mom was a resident for 3 years with advanced Parkinson’s disease before she passed at the end of 2019. She received the best care🤗. Owners and staff did a great job keeping family informed of any issues & took care of Mom regarding all her needs. Food was excellent!!! Families were welcome to have one of the facility’s deliciously prepared meals with their loved one. Recommend you take a tour and consider this facility.

The staff are always friendly and genuinely helpful and concerned. I haven’t seen a large turnover in staff as I did at another facility my mother was in. We are very satisfied and happy with the cate my mother receives. I would definitely recommend this facility to others.

My mother has been in the Pines for about a year now, and they take good care of her and love her. The location was convenient, and when you walked in, the place smelled fine. She shared a room with another lady, and it's large and fine. They have nurses and doctors that come periodically. I liked that there's activity in the living area. I'm just very happy with them. The only problem they have was they don't have enough parking spaces.
