Very pleased with the facility and my interactions with all staff from Admissions to the Discharge planner. The Admissions Coordinator was very helpful, got us in when we needed help with my mother after her recent hospital stay. She needed rehab in order to get back home and the therapy was great in achieving that. My mom enjoyed the food, her room was cleaned daily and the staff was always eager to answer questions and help in any way.

This place is absolutely horrible. The place smells of urine and the admissions coordinator 'Lori' was so rude and disrespectful to my family. We were trying to tour facilities for my grandmother. We do not recommend this place for anyone.

If you have family that needs to go to a nursing home, I strongly recommend that you NOT take your family to Texoma Healthcare Center They are back and forth and the admissions Lady Lauri is just downright disrespectful with a negative attitude all the way around. I hope and pray she finds another job that is more suitable for her than taking care of people or working in that field. She was very disrespectful and refused my grandma services to her face just because we were going to tour another nursing home right after that one to weigh our options. She literally stated, go to Cedar Hollow instead and she does not have any beds for my grandma and refused the tour after she agreed to it. She also stated that there were beds available before we mentioned cedar hollow. She specifically and intentionally withdrew her services out of spite and negativity bc we were looking at other places. I even said are you being disrespectful right now and she just gave us the most ugliest look ever and just stood there with her arms folded and said just go to cedar hollow instead. She specifically withheld services from my grandma. She was rude and awful.

My husband was at Texoma Healthcare Center. The facility is a little bit older. Parts of it could use some remodeling. The room was comfortable, but it was sterile. It lacked some personality. Everybody was very professional. They followed through with any of our concerns. They had a workout facility. We were there during the holidays, so they had a lot of parties set up. They did bingo and other activities, like movie nights. My husband ate often in his room, which sometimes disappointed me. The food was good.

Texoma Healthcare Center has provided excellent care to many of my relatives over the last 9 years. Always a pleasant experience. Resident rooms are of good size. Therapy department is amazing. Discharge planning and admission process was very smooth. Nurses and aides truly care. Food has been pretty good.

These people are using covid as an excuse to get away with doing as little as possible. Such as keeping you in the lobby for visitation as well as business pertaining to your care. They will say "we are not allowing people into OUR offices due to covid, so we'll have to talk about your issues here. And when you call them out for this being a HIPAA violation, they'll tell you that they have to go outside. Their day consists of showing up to work, waiting on their lunch delivery, and getting paid to sit at a desk that isn't being used for anything other than a footrest. My mother was in here after a severe stroke and she languished here until a seizure put her back at the hospital. The hospital said it was a severe UTI caused by an e.coli bacteria that triggered the seizure. She also was dehydrated and had lost 30 lbs in the 6 months she was here. It's not possible to lose weight like that on a feeding tube. The hospital was onboard when I said they cannot send her back here. They helped me find a 5 star home within 48 hours. We couldn't be more relieved.

My Dad was there for almost a month. After he came out of the hospital after finding out his cancer had spread. He was quarantined for 14 days as expected. He was on hospice care with Guardian which was ok. One of the problems we had was with staff not being on the same page. They sent family from one door to another. We had our temps checked, filled out our paperwork & had a sticker but kept getting the run around. EMT's dropping off a patient were also rerouted even after removing the elderly bedridden patient from the ambulance! The worst parts of his stay there was that we found him mostly naked uncovered with his head downhill near floor level as the wheels had broken off his bed. He said they blamed him. Staff knew about it but never fixed his bed. I raised his bed best I could. There were traces of feces in the floor for @ least a week. He was moved after 14 days back to his shared room. The situation was NOT better. His clothes were missing, & upon the move his other belongings were not moved still. I threatened to search the place before they found his stuff. A wheelchair bound resident entered his room unmasked & uninvited. My Dad was on a minced & moist diet even before this recent move in & out from hospital to quarantine. They delivered a plate with dry cod, coleslaw & cornbread! When I tried to call for a nurse no one came so I approached the nurses station with a mask on but was rudely told to push the nurses button. Goldfish crackers & spaghetti remnants were left under his roomates bed for a week! Another day, upon entering I find his cup of water knocked off in floor spilled on top of his stuff. His little cd player which the hospice nurse was using to play music to help comfort him wasn't even plugged in & his nurse button was down in floor inaccessible to him. When I phoned the director of Sava Senior Care in Houston he was rude & unapologetic & told me our family was supposed to be scheduling our visits! I'm guessing that's so they could "appear like he was getting taken care of". His nurses did the best they could. Most were compassionate but overwhelmed. I blame the directors for not seeing that cleanliness was a top priority especially after putting us thru the screenings. When asked if Dad would be tested for covid(for the staff, roommate's & families sake)again after having been in a hall with a covid patient, I was told they don't do that! We researched this facility. It looked good but I'm distraught that my Dad passed away in this kind of filthy inattentive place.

Both of my parents were at Texoma Healthcare for rehab and had great results. They both were able to return home within 20 days. Therapy staff even came into their home to evaluate needs upon discharge. All of the staff at Texoma played a role in their success. Mom is currently on her second stay and we are so glad to see all of the familiar faces. She’s already made great strides this week!

My grandmother just recently passed away after having a stroke almost a year ago. If you care about your loved ones please don’t let them stay at this particular nursing home. I absolutely hated going there to see my grandmother wet, stinky, the halls stink, employees had bad attitudes when you asked them questions and got really defensive. I’m sad to see that my granny is gone and not going to see her great grand children anymore, but now I’m rejoicing that she doesn’t have to go back to that place and she’s in heaven with our lord and savior.

The facility did a great job with my grandmother. She was able to return home after a lengthy hospitalization. The therapy team is the best around. We really enjoyed that our Grandmother was able to have a private room during her stay. The activities were great. The nursing staff was very good.

Recently had a family member who needed Skilled Nursing and therapies to get her back up on her feet. She required skilled nursing for extensive wound care, therapy for pain management and debility. When we thought she was going to succumb to her illness, the team at Texoma Healthcare Center was able to heal her wounds, control her pain and get her back up walking again. Couldn't ask for a better outcome. Definitely recommend this place over all others in the area.

I don't' believe that you could find better healthcare professionals anywhere. It may newest building but the care couldn't be any better. Only gave it a 4 because the food could be better. Staff were always friendly and helpful. They took me to any appointments that I had scheduled.

My mother was there for 61 days before she passed last year the aids on hall C was the worst poorest attitude they did such a poor job of trying to feed my mother when they tried to feed her which was half the time when they took her to the dining area she sat Wheel chair much longer then she should have, food was spilled on her. I brought this matter to the D.O.N.and The director and nothing ever got resolved.

My severely impaired family member was a resident here for one year, during which time hospice and THC staff coordinated care for him. During this time I found the facility to be clean and did not have the "nursing home smell" that is common in many facilities. The vast majority of the nursing staff and aides were very personable to my family member, even when he became unable to respond to them. The few times that I had a concern with a particular issue or aide, the nursing staff and administration responded promptly to effectively correct the problem. This is a simple nursing care facility, without all the bells and whistles that some more expensive facilities have, but I would recommend it as a solid options for you to consider. Our family was happy with the care of our loved one here.

My family member had a recent rehab stay in this facility. I would recommend this place to anyone! We had excellent care and really felt like the employees cared. It has been updated recently and feels like home!

I do NOT recommend this facility for anyone. Their state rating overall is 56% below the State average of 60%, which is lousey in itself. My parent left this facility three times to be admitted to ER. All three cases we found neglect, mal-nourished, and dehydration, and the eyelids were matted shut from goo, and bandages had not been changed since his last stay in the hospital. Hospital reported to the State as well.
