My mother is in Mullican Care Center and our overall experience so far was very good. They communicate very well with the needs of my mother, and anything that's going on with my mother, they call and let me know. And also they provide good care for my mother. There's good communication with her, with the nurses, and with what's going on with her. Her overall care has been good. So far, everything has been very good. We've asked her about the food and she thinks it's good. It's been 3 weeks, and everything for the time that she's there has been really good. The cleanliness that I've seen with my mother has been good, so the cleanliness seems good.

Please think twice about sending your loved one to this facility. My family will be filing complaints with the state of Texas for neglect. My mother was moved here when we had little choice after the home she was in shut down suddenly , it was the closest at the time and had availability. My mother has drastically declined since being here. She was just recently taken to the hospital and we have found out that neglect was definitely an issue. It’s hard when you have a loved one in a home and can’t be there all the time. You trust that people will do their jobs and the jobs they signed up for and take care of the patients, the human beings that are there. She was severely dehydrated. The doctors said it’s plain and simple she has not had any fluids (if a patient gets to a point where they aren’t eating or drinking the family needs to be told). She had severe high sodium, low potassium, a urinary tract infection, was sleeping all the time, had fallen, and I could go on. Her diaper hadn’t been changed in days the ER nurses guessed as it was rancid and Mullican’s answer was to just pour a ton of baby powder in the diaper. They lie to your face or on the phone and say all is well, she’s fine. She was neglected. I could go on and on and will in our report to the state. These are mothers, daughters, sisters, fathers, uncles, aunts, brothers to people. They deserve to be shown dignity in their final days. They are paying to be there. Do better take your loved ones elsewhere!!!
