Mom is in Meadow Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation for about a month now. It is a very attractive building and very clean. The staff is good, but there's just not enough of them. Mom's room has a bedroom, a dresser, a bedside table, a closet, and a bathroom. They have a nice dining room with a piano in it, and she loves to listen to me play the piano. So when I come up there, I try to play the piano for her. Mom loves her breakfast. She gets oatmeal, scrambled eggs, and bacon sometimes.

I would never put anyone is this facility, my grandfather was a patient there and we live in Robert lee so we had to Commute to come see him and I will go as much as I could between work and things like that at least every two days or three days he would have the same clothes on let I put on him when I was there for the day and same pants with the same Briefs that had not been changed and three days. He smelled like dumpster and pee, nobody had even changed him or groomed him. I also had issues with staff about his bathroom and floors not being cleaned and full of ants and dried up blood that had been dripping from his wounds. Basically they left him there until one of us family members came to see him and check on him then we had to come down their Throats just to do the job.

My mother was in Meadow Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation. I do know that they're more expensive than some places. I think the employees are pretty good, and I think they're very skilled in what they do. I think they did a good job. One of the big responsibilities they had was daily wound care for my mother, and I think they did a good job with that. My mother thought the food was really good. For activities, basically all they had was watching TV. They didn't really have much in the way of activities at all. I think they kept it up pretty well.

My mother has been at Senior Care of Meadow Creek twice before for rehab. I last went there two years ago. The staff was fairly good. They offered PT and programs, and her little dog can visit. It's the only one in town where her little dog can visit, and that's very important to her. It's a pretty old facility. They need to repaint and make sure their TVs work. She didn't have a working TV for a week.

My dad is at Senior Care of Meadow Creek. It is close to my mom's house, and that's what she wants. We like it. They're short-staffed like anybody else, but as far as the employees we have dealt with, they have been great with my dad. The living atmosphere is pretty good. The residents all seem to be pretty happy there. My mom spends every day with my dad. I have eaten several times with him, and I think they have decent food. They provide a good variety too. The dining area is more like a restaurant. They go around with a menu so they can order off it. They have activities like bingo and crafts, but my dad isn't quite able to completely do that. He is pretty confused at times. The place is fairly clean, but they could use some upgrades. It is a valuable service, but they take good care of my dad.
