I placed my husband at Oxford Glen at Sachse Memory Care. So far, it's been very good. I'm very satisfied. The staff is one reason I'm satisfied. Their staff is very caring, and compassionate towards the patient. I like the family atmosphere, I like his accommodations just fine, and it's the right size. Of course, I haven't got in there, just inside the door only, but I think it's very nice. It's handy for me. Being just off the Bush Freeway makes it accessible.

We toured Oxford Glen Sachse. I felt like it was personal treatment. They knew we were coming in. Dana had everything ready and we took Mom into the dining room, and they served her dinner. They had a chef come in, and the food was good. Mom ate her meal. They had a caretaker sit with her while I went and toured with Dana so we could look at the rooms. They have a courtyard where people can go sit if they want to get some sunshine. They have a place and a TV and they are very conscientious about the stimulation, like providing activities. Some people were doing activities. I just really liked it. The rooms were pretty big. Each room had a bathroom with a shower. The caretakers just seem to be very concerned about each person. That's what I'm looking for in a facility and that's why I thought this would be a good place. The facility was very clean. There are no fines or tax or anything. It's a good facility.

I toured Oxford Glen Sachse. They were very professional. It seemed like they had a lot of amenities and everything. Their layout was more of an apartment style, so it wasn't like as much of a cluster community. It was like a connected building, shaped like a cross. It had a little bit more activities and everything. I liked the staff that I met. They were always very nice and good, and it's a very comprehensive tour.

I toured Oxford Glen Sachse. The price was reasonable. Everything was nice and clean, too. It was very small, which I liked. They had three different buildings. And the rooms were very spacious, very clean, and very nice. The area was nice. They had like a room for 16 people in each building. It was just quaint and small. It was like a Western-style place. It was an older place, but the people seemed like they were nice. I almost went with them, until I saw this other place. With regards to amenities, they have a crafts room, a little outdoor patio area for people to go out, and they have their own shower in their rooms, which was nice. They seemed like more they could do one-on-one with the people. The staff members were friendly and nice.

Oxford Glen Sachse was nice. We just needed something that was more comfortable for both of us. The rooms were smaller, and there was not really enough room for two people to live long-term. The staff was very informative and businesslike. She gave us a lot of information. She was well-informed.

Oxford Glen at Sachse Memory Care was a nice place. The room sizes were a little small for individuals. They need to be just a little bit bigger; a twin or a medical bed probably is all that fits in the room. The staff seemed nice. There were a lot of staff members there when we went to visit. They were playing games with the residents while we were there, doing a lot of one on one with each resident, so I like that about the place. It has a very clean environment. There's not too much noise, it was pretty quiet. I saw them playing a game when we went there, some type of game where they were playing with everyone else. They have a salon on site, and a rehabilitation area, a room for rehab. They have a big outdoor space with a nice garden. There were couches and TV, and stuff like that everywhere.

Oxford Glen at Sachse Memory Care was a nice facility, but we weren't happy with the decor. It was wood panelled and dark to us and it was depressing. We would've liked it brightened up a little bit more on the decor and to have brighter colors. The residents we met all seemed happy and comfortable. The dining room was empty when we were there. They were getting ready to celebrate the monthly birthdays and they were decorating for that. They had a small library. They kept the doors going outside locked, so the residents can't wander. Everything looked well kept, we didn't see bugs running around, it was very clean, and it didn't smell bad. The staff we met was very friendly.

My wife is in Oxford Glen at Sachse Memory Care. It's a nice place. Other than that, it's just a typical memory care unit. The rooms are really nice. I haven't been there on a weekday when they're normally doing their activities, but as far as I know, they're OK. We decided to move her there because of the building itself, the rooms, facility, the activity center, the common areas, and professionalism of the people that work there. She seems to like the food, and eats everything on her plate. The price is awfully high to me. I looked at their activity calendar; they're having a steak day and then the following day, they're having a dog day where people can bring their dogs in. I'm there on Sundays. There is a different crew that works on Sundays and there aren't any activities going on. They just sit in their chairs, sleep, and watch TV. I walk with my wife for about four hours.

Oxford Glen at Sachse Memory Care was awesome. It's new and smelled fresh, and the staff seemed to be very nice. The residents were having a good time, and they were engaged. They were having lunch when we visited. Some residents were just finishing and watching TV. They were doing tea time, they were wearing hats, and they were making hats and doing crafts and workshops. It was too expensive though.
