The Gardens at Brook Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care was a very nice facility. It's just more than what we could pay. It was very nice, well-kept, very clean, organized, and very elegant. It had a pleasant odor to it. The only person I saw was the intake person, and she was very friendly and helpful. She was very, very good and understanding about the situation and explained the facilities. It's a well-equipped facility. They have an exercise room, gym, and various rooms for activities. They had a lot of activities for the residents. They have a lounge area where people gather. You pay a lot and you get a lot.

My dad loves The Gardens Brook Ridge. They take really good care of them. The foods is delicious, and when he eats they put them with other people, that way he won't eat by himself. They are well-staffed. I read the reviews online and they're the ones that had the best reviews from family members. We went and toured it and then my dad and mom both liked it. The staff is very helpful and they ask questions. Every time I call, I'm able to talk to the Head Nurse or someone from the staff to ask some questions. They seem very helpful and very friendly. I had lunch the first day with my dad, and the food was delicious. Dad had breakfast, lunch, and dinner there, and said the food's been really good. They're keeping them active and socializing, and not just sitting in his room, which is really good. The location is near a hospital.

I visited The Gardens at Brook Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care. The lady/staff was extremely helpful and very informative. This is the first time we've ever done anything like this, so it was very helpful that she was down to the basics. Some of it is still a little bit confusing, but when we get right into it, I think it will fall into place. They were very helpful and the place is beautifully maintained. It's beautiful. So, I think the helpfulness of the staff, the maintenance and everything that was put in to make it very nice living there. The rooms were nice. They were decent-sized for what my mom is going to need. And it's probably for the best because she doesn't need a lot of room. The studio was a little bit too small. There were two closets in the one bedroom and no big closets. And the dining area was nice. There's a refrigerator in there and a microwave. They had an exercise room with equipment. They have get-togethers where we could meet with a group and do therapy-type things, and they have a heated pool, which I think is the best for her therapy.

We are signed up to go to The Gardens at Brook Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care. We love this place. We chose it because it's like an apartment. It's got two bedrooms, a front room, a kitchen, and two bathrooms, so it's more like a home. The staff is very professional and very friendly, and they go out of their way to help you. I saw one activity that was going on. They were doing a craft. Some people were sitting around reading. There wasn't a whole lot going on. People were outside having picnics and stuff like that. They have a library, a workout room, billiards, exercise classes, and meditation classes. They have a van that would take you to doctor's appointments and shopping.

The reason that we decided against The Gardens at Brook Ridge Assisted Living & Memory Care was because it wasn't furnished. Everything was good. There were activities going on while we were there. They were doing chair exercises. The dining area was very nice. They had patios that went out on the bottom floor to a nice garden-type area. The living atmosphere was comfortable. We would have taken this place, but it was three stories. And with my mother's condition, I didn't think that would work for her. But other than that, it was great and the best one that we saw. The only problem is moving the furniture up there.

The Gardens at Brook Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care was a much bigger facility. They had senior living apartments in the front and then in the back where they had assisted living and memory care (I visited the assisted living). It's a very large building and a lot newer than the other facility I visited. They had a very nice room. They had a one-bedroom apartment with two different sizes and then the studio. The studio was very large and very nice. It came with a small-sized refrigerator, a sink, and a very large bathroom. It was very modern. They had a little tiki bar and a whole list of activities that they did every hour. My husband's a smoker and so they showed me the patio where he could be free to go outside and smoke out there. I was very, very impressed with it. I wanted to move there myself. The staff was very friendly. Everybody greeted me when I walked in, had me sit, and offered me water or whatnot. Then the person that took me around was very knowledgeable, gave me lots of information, and they even offered help with moving, to furnish the rooms. I was very, very impressed with The Gardens at Brook Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care. I saw that they have a chef that could serve meals. What was nice about that was for breakfast, if you feel like just having a breakfast taco, you can have that. They would give the residents an option if they don't want whatever they happen to be serving that day, which I also appreciated.

I went to The Gardens at Brook Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care. The staff was very kind and courteous. The facility was clean and well kept. It was definitely somewhere I would feel comfortable leaving my father. It was a place of respect and care. It definitely was not somewhere they just plop the elderly and do not really care about them. The grounds were well kept and well landscaped. There was an exercise class that was going on. The color of paint seemed off to me, but the rooms were good sized.

We chose The Gardens at Brook Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care for my mother. The facility is beautiful. I want to move in here. It was very inviting to go in. The apartments are nice and a good size. I love the bathroom facilities. They are amazing. The staff answered all of my questions. She was very respectful, considerate, and compassionate when I started to cry. She assured me that they would be taking really good care of my mom and that everything would be okay. The dining area is nice. The staff told me that usually after lunch, a lot of the residents go to lie down for a little while. So no activities were going on at that particular time that I was there.

I've toured The Gardens at Brook Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care. It looks the same as the place I'm trying to get my dad into, only the layout is different and this one is a few years newer. This is also 20% more expensive and 80% farther away. The bathrooms were enormous, and there was no option to use their furniture. The grounds were the superior choice, it was beautiful and they have a pool. The residents were involved in something at the time that I was there, they were all sitting together building or making or coloring something. In terms of staff, they were the superior choice, but at $7000, they ought to be. They probably had more staff than any other place I toured.

My father has been in The Gardens at Brook Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care since the end of June. It's a great place. They've very, very friendly staff there, very helpful. The administrator and manager are awesome. It's a very nice looking, clean place. They have lots of activities, and birthday parties. There's always a theme going on, Hawaiian week, or month, or whatever. They have a swimming pool and a lift. Their activities director tries to get everyone involved even though my father wants nothing to do with anything. It's a two-story, has an elevator, everyone has their own mailbox, apartment from a small efficiency, a large efficiency, up to two-bedrooms, I believe one or two. So you can have a roommate or you can live with your significant other, your spouse, or by yourself. Each one has a small kitchenette, three meals a day and snacks are always available when wanted. You have a little necklace that you wear or a bracelet, whichever they want. And if you need help at any time or you want something, they answer you and they come. It's not like you're in a nursing home waiting forever and ever, which works out great. The kitchenette has a microwave and a small refrigerator/ freezer, and cupboards. So my dad has snacks and fruit. I bring things like that in. You buy your own toiletries, but all the food, the meals are made and the food is good. They have their big meal in the afternoon. The hour starts at 1130. They have a large dining room and they will come and remind people they don't just leave you sitting in your room. If it's time to eat, they will come. Dad is pretty much in a wheelchair right now. We're trying to get his knee fixed, so they'll come and get him. They're building a garden area out back to sit in, but it's not done yet. The prices are good compared to another place I checked down there. It's doable for my dad If he would want to. My neighbor has a contract over there, in ten years she's going to sell her house and go live there. I would live there. They take bus trips. They go on day trips sometimes for the people, they can go if they want. They take their own money. They go out for lunch or something. They go shopping twice a week. They'll go for you or you can go with them. You're not just locked in there. If you want to go out. The doors are open.

The Gardens at Brook Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care have medical personnel on staff if you need help or medication. The staff member was very professional, concerned, friendly, and did a good job of showing me around. The dining area was like a restaurant type. They have a refrigerator, microwave, kitchen stove in the rooms, and activities throughout the day.

The Gardens at Brook Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care was our second choice. I would only use them if I couldn't get another, only because it's a much larger facility. It's connected with the nursing home, and you can walk through from one to the other, but the memory parts are locked. They have a key to show you both. It was very clean. The people looked happy. They had a lot more people that were in Jori chairs and not as active, and so that wasn't really appealing to me, but it was very good. You had to be on a waiting list, which was a good sign. I just preferred the smaller community, plus it was twice as far to drive. It was more hospital-like. The staff was very helpful and honest with us about everything. They were in an activity when we went, and we just passed them. They were having a good time, and then there were about ten or 12 people who were watching them play that weren't physically able to because they were in wheelchairs, or those what they called the Jori chair. It's one of those chairs that they can lay back like a bed, or they can set it up like a wheelchair. And honestly, they were half asleep, they were really not able to play the game, but they still had them around the edge where they could hear and see, so that was good. They just don't leave them stuck in a room.

We went to The Gardens at Brook Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care. They fed us lunch, and it was cooked by a chef. The chef came out and visited with every resident there. The food was delicious. I got the chicken with rice and some kind of an egg roll. My dad got spaghetti and meatballs with mixed vegetables, broccoli, cauliflower and carrots, and garlic bread. Afterwards we had cheesecake with blueberries on top. When we did the tour, they were having an exercise program that morning. Then everybody came for lunch. Right after lunch, they were going to the movies. They have a big area with a beautiful movie screen in it. They have a menu with all their food for the month, and the food looked great. They have a library, and they have a chapel. Someone comes in and cut your fingernails. They have people that come and give you a haircut and do your feet. She said that was $35 for women and $12 for men. It is just a beautiful place. The one-bedroom with a living room has a small kitchen (even though you get your three meals every day). It has a small kitchen so you can make snacks if you want to. My dad is not going to take that one if he goes in because that's a lot more money. We looked at a studio that that had a lot of space with a big kitchen, a big living room area, and then a nice sized bedroom area, but it was just one area. Then we looked at a smaller one, and that's the one he's going to get. It's a small studio apartment, but it's pretty big.

I went to The Gardens at Brook Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care last week. Everybody was happy, that's what I like. The staff all seemed like they were very helpful, happy, for everybody to be happy. They have a schedule of activities. They had art and painting. I saw the dining room, I did see them serving. I went there when they were eating, so I got to see how that all went. In the rooms that I was going to be interested in, they had private bathrooms. They were also nice and spacious rooms, which I liked. And there was a lot of greenery outside like gardens and stuff, my mom likes that. I talked to some of the residents, and they were very forthcoming about the place being nice.

I toured the assisted living at The Gardens at Brook Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care. I told my parents it's like living in an upscale hotel. I loved the dining area and the big chairs. It looked comfortable, cozy, and very clean. It didn't smell old, musty, or anything like that. The lady, Estela, is the one that helped me out. She was phenomenal. She was just very caring, empathetic, listened to my needs, and very thorough with everything that they provide. She told me about the meal plans, the chef that's on duty, and the activities they have. They have their monthly activities planned out so I was impressed with the place. My mom found the rooms kind of small, but when you live in a 2-story home for several years, coming to a 1-bedroom, 1-bath and a small living room becomes very challenging. Estela sent me a video, my parents weren't able to go visit it in person, but I showed them the video yesterday. My dad has Alzheimer's, but he was having a good day yesterday, so he saw it and he liked the fact that it wasn't busy because too much noise and busyness trigger him. I haven't tried their food but I would describe the dining area as an elegant restaurant. It had nice tables, big chairs, and it just looked very comfortable. It didn't look like a cafeteria.

I like The Gardens at Brook Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care the best. It was a very good with a thorough tour. The facilities were nice. It seems like the residents were happy. It was very nice and quiet, and I liked it. The rooms were spacious, nice, and clean. The person who gave the tour was excellent. The dining area looked very nice, very clean, and very appealing. Someone was in their little theater watching a movie.

I'm in The Gardens at Brook Ridge. They have me in for an intense level of care, but that's going to change pretty soon. It's assisted living. It's a very nice place. I like the way it is out in the country. It's very suited for me to be outdoors, and I like that. The people attending me are very courteous. My room is small, but it's sufficient for my needs. It has a window overlooking a central garden. It's on the second story. The food is quite good. It's a little bit different than what I would normally eat, but it's quite nice. They have exercises in the morning during weekdays, like stretching arms. They have a whole bunch of exercises. It would be every morning for about an hour. It's just basic exercises. The food is more standard, but it's of highest quality. It's very American; it's very good. It's quite expensive.

My mother moved into The Gardens at Brook Ridge. It seems to be fine, but they're a little slow in answering their buzzers. The staff seem to be doing okay, there's cleaning staff all the time cleaning, the upkeep seems to be fine, it's a little expensive, but we're satisfied. The meals seemed to be fairly good, and anytime I ask for anything done, they've done it. They had an exercise class, they've got bingo, and they had coffee at 3 pm.

My husband moved into The Gardens at Brook Ridge. They're very good. It's a nice, clean establishment. The nurses are really good. I don't have a problem with it at all. My husband has a really nice, clean, private room with a big huge bathroom, a bed, and a little bedside table with his TV. They have a special section in the dining room for people who have to be fed. My husband is in that section and they have workers who come in and feed him. They have a lot of different activities. They take my husband out of his room and take him to the TV room and work on puzzles with him. They play bingo and they have music all the time for them, so it's a very relaxing community. It's expensive, but if you can afford it, it's worth it.

My husband is at the assisted living level of The Gardens at Brook Ridge. Their facilities are wonderful and the food is great. The activities director works hard to keep the residents active and socially engaged. My husband has the larger of the studio apartments and it's quite roomy.

The Gardens at Brook Ridge is clean, and the staff is nice. They have good medical care. Mom has some privacy, but she's got enough assistance. There is a beauty shop, a workout room, and lots of outdoor space. They serve 3 meals a day. They have outings and puzzles. There is a movie room, a chapel, and a place to cook if she wants to do that. The staff is very helpful. They have lots of routines, they encourage her to go down for meals, and they take her to exercise. They will serve her meals to her room if she's sick or doesn’t feel well. We have an option to take her to her doctors, or they can do that for us.

I visited The Gardens at Brook Ridge. My impression was that the residents were happy. They did not have a specialized separate Alzheimer's wing. That would not have been a good fit for my mother. Plus, it was expensive. Their dining area was very nice, but it was not that homey. It was more institutional. It had a lot to offer, but it was not a good fit for my mom. They had a lot of activities.

The Gardens at Brook Ridge was a lovely place. We were very well received. Everybody was so polite and good. We had lunch and talked with the manager and the lady who took us around and showed us everything. It was very nice. We have friends that live there, so we got to see them and they love it. A lot of people came up and told us how they love it, too. However, it’s mostly independent living. The dining area was very lovely and not really formal. The food was delicious. We had a choice of two entrees, and it was very wholesome food. They have three meals a day and don’t have any alteratives; if we eat those as three meals a day, we would weigh 300 pounds in no time. I like that they had 2-bedroom apartments and a patio outside.

My brother is in The Gardens at Brook Ridge. My brother really enjoys the food, and it's pretty balanced. He's anxious to get down there early so he can eat. The people are so friendly and take good care of him. He has to be bathed, and they do a good job. He seems to like it. They play bingo. He has a walker and started walking around the building a little and getting exercise, which he didn't do here at home. They do adult coloring, Pokemon, and have movies in a theater room that has 18 big, old, heavy-duty leather chairs. They have a bistro right next to the kitchen, and the dining room has snacks like cakes, candy, ice cream, coffee, lemonade, and water, so if anybody gets a little hungry, they can go there. I am extremely pleased, and my brother seems to be liking it, too.

The Gardens at Brook Ridge is one of the best places I've seen around Texas. They have 24/7 nurses, and everybody is very polite and very attentive to the people. They have a list of activities posted. The staff is very knowledgeable.

The visit at The Gardens at Brookridge was wonderful. The apartments were large and roomy; they were already setup for anybody who is disabled, it is clean, and there is nice scenery outside the window. The staff was attentive and caring. The dining room was neat; they setup the different colored plates, so you knew what time of day it was. They had daily outings, an activity room, and crafts for their activities. I was ready to place my mother in there, so I was extremely satisfied.
