My mom has moved into Creekside Alzheimer's Special Care Center. It's been really good. They're very engaged with their patients, and they keep them very active. That's the main thing; they've got activities going one right after the other. They've been really wonderful. They took pictures of my mother the first day she was there and sent it to me to let me know how she was doing. My brother even called to check on her this weekend, and they asked if he wanted to speak to her, so they put her on the phone. They just go over the top to help. It's nice and small. They don't have showers in the individual room, that way they don't have to worry as much about falls. They have a centralized bathing location for them, which I think is a wonderful idea. Their rooms are very nice. They have in the facility, in the middle, a solarium that's open to the sun. I've seen them out there with the patients doing exercises. They have a garden out there, where the patients can actually grow plants (like tomatoes and stuff like that). They've been awesome and really good. I haven't tried the food due to Covid. It's kind of hard; they are very careful with COVID. They have you put on one of their N95 masks when you go to visit; and you can't visit in a common area. It keeps you away from other patients just to protect them. It's very homey. When you walk in, you feel you feel like you're in someone's home. The entryway opens right up into like a living room, and there's a library off to one side. Then the offices are intermingled right alongside the patients' rooms. There are people that work there milling around everywhere. The offices are not hidden anywhere; they're all right out in the open. They have far surpassed where we moved her from; that's for sure. I have seen them do more activities with them in just a few short days of moving around, than we saw at the previous place. They were singing church hymns, and I've seen them out doing Chair Taichi outside. I've seen them dancing and just lots of activities. It's much less expensive to go there than where we previously were.

My mom is in Creekside which is a memory care in Pearland, and it's attractive. They would do bingo. They have sing-alongs, devotion, arts and crafts, and movies.

My husband is at Creekside Alzheimer's Special Care Center. I talked to the lady from sales about him, and the very first thing she told me was, "He needs a purpose," and I said that's exactly what he needs. I connected really good with this lady, I liked her sincerity, and she's down-to-earth. I also liked the lady that I talked to on the phone who said, "We don't have a lot of turnover with help. Our director has been here 24 years, and one of her staff members has been here with her 24 years." So, that seemed pretty stable to me. I didn't get to look at the whole facility because of COVID. The other facility I visited let me put on the gown and shoe covers and walk through, but Creekside didn't. They didn't have those things there, but they had masks. They said, "If we let you go in there we have to completely clean the room before any of our residents go in there, so we're just not letting people go in there." They had four sections but I didn't get to look at any of them. They told me we could walk around the back of the building because we couldn't walk through it. They're repainting the nautical section. They said they were going to show us that they were redoing the whole building and they were gonna show us what they could. They had a big courtyard in the back enclosed by a big, tall, white, pretty fence, so to me it didn't look like I was locked down. I felt like I was just behind the fence and that was kind of comfortable. We went through the big courtyard and then she took us into the rooms. I liked the Jack and Jill rooms, and they were big. Each section would have a TV and a couch. She pointed down the hall and we could see where they were painting everything. At the end of the hall there were two dining rooms, one for people that couldn't feed themselves, and one for people that could. That's all that I got to see of the facility. The director came in and visited with us and I felt like I'd known her forever. One by one the staff would come by and visit with us, and the cook brought us cookies. I had this real sense of family there. For me to sign the papers for a facility that I didn't look through the whole thing is pretty unusual. I just felt that this is where God sent us, that's the reason that I chose it. I haven't seen my husband yet. They wanted me to let him get accustomed to it. They like him, and they know how to handle him when he gets angry. They said he helps them do everything. They've been very good with him. I haven't seen his room yet. I can't walk down the hall to that section and you can't go in because of the virus. The staff was very nice. Everybody that I've talked to on the phone the second day he was there told me he was their favorite resident. I don't really have a problem with it right now. I'm quite happy with it. He does the activities, and he didn't even do that with me. He played bingo with them, and I saw a picture of him playing bingo. They have a morning devotional. They said he helps them push the wheelchairs for lunch and helps them move the furniture while they're painting. So far, my husband is happy and that's all I care about. I've only mostly talked to the staff on the phone and they've been very helpful. Several of them gave me their personal phone and you can call them anytime. They've spent a lot of time talking to me. From what I saw, it looked very clean, but I have not been through the whole facility. I could see into the living room area and then I saw where they were painting. For me, it's been perfect.

We had a very good visit at Autumn Leaves of Pearland. They were very professional and very friendly. The apartments were beautiful and more than adequate in size. They had daily activities like folding clothes, baking, arts and crafts, and singing. The staff seemed to be very interested and caring. The living environment was fantastic.

Autumn Leaves of Pearland was lovely, it's a beautiful community, and everyone was friendly. I would have chosen it, except it was out of my budget. The dining area was lovely, and all the people eating seemed to be enjoying it. The staff members were very nice, and the facilities were beautiful.

There are some great employees here and then there are those that are brash and appear to dodge work. The Med Techs did well in finding creative ways to administer medicine. The downside....if you know your family member does not want life saving efforts done, this facility will not honor that request. They called an ambulance after they knew our family member's wishes and after I had just told them "no, don't call an ambulance". My family member was resuscitated for a very long, drawn out, agonizing death because according to the staff WE didn't have the right paperwork. Speaking to management deny, deny, deny any error. Spoke to Executive Management and they made promises and did not keep them including a returned phone call.

Autumn Leaves was the first one we visited, and it was fantastic, but a little too pricey for us. It was very nice, very professional, and had a lot going for the residents. A lot of activities, a lot for the memory care residents who needed it. They had a schedule, and that’s what the Alzheimer’s -- which my mother has now definitely been diagnosed with -- need. They need a routine; they need a schedule. That is what this type of people need, and that is what this place offered. They also offered, if your family wanted to come in and have private time or a private party, the facility for that.

We’re very pleased with Autumn Leaves. They’re very active with their people in keeping them up and going. They have a number of group activities every day. It’s very clean and organized. Everybody is so helpful and really good. They have excellent meals. My dad loves their activities and different things they do to keep them focus.

This memory care facility has been caring for my sister for several years. I am often amazed at how well the staff responds to the memory care patients and their needs. They are compasionate and kind and provide exceptional care to my sister . I would highly recomend this facility to anyone looking for good care for their loved ones.

My mother has been at Autumn Leaves for about a month now. It is a nice place, but I’m not really impressed with the food; they eat a lot of soups and sandwiches. There is a lot of waiting and sitting, too. The caregivers are very caring, though, and seem like good people. All of the caregivers are very caring and wonderful. The room my mother is in is one of the most beautiful rooms that we had seen in all of the assisted living places that we went to. If you have a roommate, their bedrooms are not next to each other; they are in another room separated by a shared bathroom and a hallway, so it is semi-private.

Autumn Leaves was a really nice, clean place. The people and staff were friendly and informative, which I liked. If you asked them questions, they had the answers. The rooms were kind of small, but my mother has dementia, so she didn’t need a big one anyway. It looked like a fairly new facility.

My wife and I visited Autumn Leaves of Pearland. It was extremely well. The visit and the tour were very well conducted. We were very pleased. The people that were there seemed to be content. I liked the way it was setup.

We selected Autumn Leaves of Pearland, but we ultimately ended up moving my father because we weren’t comfortable with the level of care that they were getting, nor were e comfortable with the professionalism with some of the staff. The caregiver was a critical part for us, and we just weren’t happy that my father was not getting the attention that he needed. The facility looked clean, and the rooms were nice, but you won’t get the care for somebody with dementia.

We have my mom at Autumn Leaves of Pearland, and we are very satisfied with the facility. It was referred to me by a friend, and when we toured the place, we were very happy with it. It's not large, with only about 30 residents. The staff is absolutely wonderful, and they really take good care of her. The food is excellent, and they provide breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. The rooms are very, very nice.

A relative of mine was here. The relative had an accident here, and died fairly soon afterward. I feel that the accident was due to improper supervision, and that the injuries sustained were not noted in a timely manner causing unneeded suffering. Not only were the injuries untreated, but the resident was forced to participate in activities that caused even more pain, becaused of the injured stay. Part of this due to dementia affecting the ability to communicate the pain and injury. In my opinion there are some caring workers there, snd some that have no business in this industry.

I'm not sure if my mom will actually be at Autumn Leaves, because of the cost. But the facility was gorgeous. The director gave me a personal tour and we went through all the four wings. Everything was so clean and well-run. The staff was very upbeat and sensitive to the needs of their customers. I was impressed.

When my father lived there, he fell. Doctors said that he was a little dehydrated. The fluid intake at meals was in very small glasses. The staff also did not assist him to his room at bedtime & was left to stay up late and or sleep on a sofa in the living area. Though the group activities are great, I would not risk my parent's health again by placing him here. Excuses were given that it was his right to stay up. But he could not have gotten to his bedroom without assistance. Doctors said that staying up late & dehydration contributed to his fall.

Autumn Leaves of Pearland is a very nice facility. It's close to our home and the price is really reasonable. The facility is equipped for people with dementia and the staff is flexible. I will definitely recommend Autumn Leaves of Pearland to others.

I visited Autumn Leaves of Pearland in Texas and I find it really nice. I choose this facility because I like it better than others. If there was one thing they can improve that would be their food, because of the taste. But nevertheless I like the place and I would definitely recommend Autumn Leaves to others.
