I liked everything about Brookdale Pearland. It was clean, and that's the main thing. It was cheerful. The staff that I met seemed to be very loving and caring with the people that were there. The room was a nice size, but it was almost like a hotel room versus an apartment kind of look. They showed me the group meeting room and the room where they do the exercising.

Brookdale Pearland was definitely an excellent facility. It was very clean and very welcoming. It just had a different setup than the other place. It's very spacious. It has beautiful grounds. It has a wide area of outdoor space that I really liked. The residents seemed happy. The staff member during the tour was very good. She was very positive. They were very willing to show us all the different rooms, room styles, and all the different sizes. They gave us a full tour of the facility. We got to see every building. We got to see every room type. We got to walk down the hallways with the residents, so you felt immersed in the day-to-day living of the seniors. The dining areas were nice. They were very much of a homestyle feel. The lady who took us around was fabulous. She showed us a lot of different things, but when it got down to talking about numbers, that was not her area of expertise, because the lady we were supposed to visit with was busy. The challenge became really when it got down to numbers. She wasn't the saleslady, so when we got down to talking with the lady we were supposed to originally visit with, who was the sales director, their prices were just way out of what we expected, and were significantly more than the other place. It was great that we got to see everything, but I don't need to see a $6,000 unit when our budget is more around $3,000. Their smallest unit started at $4,700, whereas the other place started at $3,300. You get one month free and 10 percent off, so they get it down to $3,700 for one year, but that's only one year. I don't want to have to move my uncle after a year, and that was without any level of care. The facility itself is beautiful. I would put my parents in there.

Brookdale Pearland was a very welcoming, homey personal care home. The staff showed me around. She knew all the residents' names. She toured me around. It's a beautiful place. They had great facilities. It would be super great if my husband could go there, but they don't do skilled nursing. They showed me a studio and it was great. This one had a little patio, which would have been perfect for him because he's a smoker. They had a whole room upstairs that had activities like puzzles, games, and a pool table, and it was super nice. They had a beautiful outdoor patio. The staff had told me about a little Oktoberfest they just had for the clients and their families. I just like how it wasn't institutional.

I toured Brookdale Pearland. It was nice. But it's a little older and dated. It was not as airy or as bright, and it was the most expensive one. The apartments were dated, and it just felt cold. The room sizes were good, but I just didn't feel comfortable. It felt cold and it wasn't as bright. The staff was very helpful. She and the maintenance supervisor gave me a tour. They were very helpful, very kind, and answered all my questions. It's just the facility, for the cost, I would expect more. I saw the dining room and the common area where the residents gather, watch TV, chat, and visit. I saw some outdoor seating patio areas where the residents can go to. I also saw the beauty salon. There was a garden area and screened-in areas right off the back of the building. You could either sit in the shadow of a screened-in area or go outside and sit in the sun. There were a lot of trees. The area was pretty. It's just that the building was kind of dark and it just didn't feel like home.

After visiting over 30 other places in the Pasadena, Deer Park, Clear Lake & Pearland, we are certain we made the right choice with Brookdale. From the marketing, sales and administrative staff and finally the amazing caregivers they have, we are so happy we found our father a home. The activities, group ,family like atmosphere and the beautiful outside patio area make this place stand out above all others. I can call everyday at anytime and reach a caregiver, nurse or whomever I need to check on him and believe me I have almost everyday and each time my questions are always answered with a pleas betterant & professional attitude. We feel like they have become part of our extended family as well. We highly recommend anyone looking for a well balanced, highly trained caregivers to visit Brookdale. They also have fun activities and always include my Dad, even though he has to be escorted from his room to join in & they have sent pictures to us of our Dad doing random things and most important - he is smiling. We feel that our Dad now has the best care he needs & better than we could provide at home even with caregivers. Thank you so much to Brookdale - all of you for providing such great home for our Dad.

I visited Brookdale Pearland. They had this private studio apartment, and they allow you to have a small pet in your room with you. They had safe walk-in showers with grab bars and non-slip surfaces. Each apartment had a special sign for the resident, and it was decorated with Christmas trees. Their whole facility is really beautiful. The director of the location, I met her. I had read so many other good reviews. I could see the chef preparing food, and they had fresh-cut fruit they were delivering to some of the residents. I saw someone, I think they were taking it to a certain person to a room. They have monthly calendars printed out with events scheduled throughout the week. They had a Halloween haunted house, casino night, and they have their own van to take people to appointments.

We went to look at Brookdale Pearland. The staff was very friendly. They took me around to all the units. I didn't visit the memory care unit, but I visited several places. I even saw apartments. They've invited me for lunch several times. It was just a lovely atmosphere. It's a location that you don't even know it's there. I mean, it's kind of secluded, but it's still in the heart of the city. It's just a lovely place. The staff members were very accommodating. They're not overcrowded, but in every building, there's a lovely living room where people gather. There's a lovely dining room where they have their food. It feels homey. It doesn't feel like an institution at all. They had taken them to Walmart to get snacks and things for themselves. They can walk from building to building. There were flowers, and it was landscaped. It's very pretty.

During our tour to Brookdale Pearland, we liked that the people seemed to be very upbeat and that there were a lot of activities. They have an open door-policy, as far as rooms and things like that, so they're not isolated. It's very clean, seemed to be maintained very well, and everything looked great. They have living room spaces, libraries, and dining areas. They also have an on-staff nurse practitioner at all times.

I toured Brookdale Pearland to see their memory care. I didn't like the idea of three people in one room, but that's the only thing we could afford there. I liked the facility, though. I thought it was small enough that the residents would get plenty of attention and everything. I just didn't think that it was the right place for my mother because of the three people in one room. I just didn't think she would go for that. They didn't have openings anyway; they're completely booked. I only met one lady, the one who took us around. She was good, nice, and very informative. The place is definitely clean. They have a living room with a couch, a couple of chairs, and a TV.

I love Brookdale Pearland. I am impressed by their memory care because it isn't confusing. I believe that when my mother-in-law goes into memory care that the place is more than quick enough to handle her. It was all centrally located where the residents wouldn't get lost. It was very nice, nicely decorated, and there was no smell of any kind that was unpleasant. I really liked it. The staff was very knowledgeable and caring. The place was very clean and very well kept-up. They were great. They did not have a lot of parking, which was my only complaint.

Brookdale Pearland was a small facility. They had memory care, but it was very limited. The majority of the care was just regular care. The office was separate from the actual residents. They didn't have as many residents. It's fairly new and clean, but seemed dark, and not well lit. The rooms were small. The staff seemed knowledgeable and nice. My mom's 86 and she has dementia, and this place would've been depressing to her. There was a lot of dark wood, dark colors, and it was not well lit. It was depressing to me. They had an activity room, but the residents were just sitting around and watching TV there. They were reasonably priced.

I toured Brookdale Pearland. One of the best things about them is that they deliver the medication straight to the room. They were a little pricier than what we were looking for. The charging structure was more like you get in with a certain price, then all of a sudden, they charge this price for this and another price for that. I was there to check the assisted living level, and the rooms were very nice. They were newly remodeled. The dining area looked really good, and we actually walked through there when they were preparing meals. There's transportation services available. All in all, everything looked really good, and it looked like a good place for my mom. The staff was also really attentive and nice. They were newly-remodeled and beautiful.

My mother is in Brookdale Pearland. I chose it because the location was one minute from my house, and there werent any other facilities close to me. The staff is very nice to her. Shes happy with the food, but she only eats lunch, not breakfast or dinner. Theyre in the process of putting new paint and carpets down in the halls. Theyre making it nice for them.

Brookdale Pearland's staff was very nice and helpful. The property was very well-kept. My grandmother loves the food. We've had a good experience so far. She has a studio apartment that comes with a microwave, refrigerator, and a very large bathroom with a walk-in handicapped shower. There's plenty of room for a king-sized bed and a sitting area. It also has some cabinets and decent-sized closets. They have a library, a living area where they can go, sit and visit, a fireplace, daily activities, weekly trips to Walmart or Target, and entertainment comes to the facility. They have a physician come once a week, and they have art shows once a month. The staff is extremely nice and very accommodating.

The visit to Brookdale was okay, and it was an older, smaller building. They were very informative, and we were considering it. The staff was very nice, the bedrooms were very big, and they don't have stoves, which was nice, but the efficiency was too small.

Mom has moved in at Brookdale Pearland. The place is nicely decorated and has good facilities. Mom loves the fact that it has grass and trees and is nicely landscaped. Mom's apartment has a patio where she can plant flowers and sit outside, which is very important to her. Mom said the food is a 5. They have a lot of activities, like exercise classes, trips outside, and games. Mother said, "I don’t ever want to move again. I want to live here 'til I die."

Brookdale Pearland was perfect. We would have placed my mother-in-law in that facility. They had everything that we were looking for. They even had a little patio on the first floor, which was awesome since she could let the dog out. The staff was excellent. When we took my mother-in-law there, they walked with us and an RN walked and did an assessment on her. Everybody seemed to be very attentive. The layout was awesome. Everything was great.

Brookdale was a nice facility, but it just required a minimum stay that we don’t need. Pricing was comparable, the staff was very friendly, and when I was there, they were leaving on a field trip. The dining area was fine.

Brookdale Pearland is very good. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have so much fitness equipment, bingo, puzzles, some other group activities, and go out to meals together sometimes. It's a large organization with all levels of care. My loved one moved from the independent living facility to assisted and there weren't any fees when she moved, so that made it very easy.

Brookdale Pearland (formerly The Hampton at Pearland) was absolutely gorgeous. The staff themselves were very helpful, very courteous to our needs, eager to look into what we're needing, and able to answer all of our questions. They showed us around, and we didn't feel like they were hiding anything. They showed us everything. They had a computer for if my mother wanted to Skype or type in something, which would help spark her memory. They cater to what's wrong with her. The rooms were clean and of a good size. Everybody was sitting down watching TV, and it seemed like they got along pretty well. The dining room was clean. They showed me an activity board where they had bowling, dancing, bingo, and more. The price was pretty expensive for me, but it was homier and a tight-knit community. It's the one that we loved the most.

I live at Brookdale Pearland. The surroundings and the people are very nice. The food is phenomenal. The apartments are very nice, clean and kept up very well. They do an excellent job of maintenance. The caregivers are bright in theory and very well well-informed. They have very good supervision also. I would highly recommend the place.

My mom is at Brookdale Pearland, and it is wonderful. The staff is pleasant, and the rooms are nice, especially the bathrooms. I looked at many places and a lot of these places have tubs, which is not good for the elderly. They have the walk-in bath, not a tub, and include a chair in there with a sprayer the patient can reach. A lot of others do not have that. I've eaten there several times, and their food is excellent, very healthy, and very nutritious. They have a full list of activities on a daily basis. They can improve on the cost of patient care; it's extremely expensive.

I went to Brookdale for my mother. It was nice, but I didn’t think they had a shared room open. My mom didn’t want a private room. I was very impressed with this place because they had a little board set up that had all these different locks that residents could sit down with to practice opening and closing. They had another area for men that had a bunch of tools available for tinkering. I haven’t seen that in any other place. I thought that was really cute. The staff was very accomodating, and the amenities were really nice. They had an area with a vanity and jewelry, scarves, and stuff to sit down with and play dress up. They had lots of little areas for the residents to go.

We went to Brookdale Pearland, and we liked it. They do have daily exercise classes depending on the need of the people. They do have an outdoor area. We did not eat there, but we did tour in the dining area and the rooms, and I thought it was what we needed. The staff was very knowledgeable about the needs of the age of the individual that we were looking for.

The people there at Hampton at Pearland, I thought, were very nice; however, I didn't see a whole lot going on there. The place itself wasn't too bad, but I didn't like that they didn't have like a covered area outside to take someone or drop someone off. They did have rooms around the central area; some of them upstairs and some were downstairs, but my mother-in-law didn't want to have to use the elevator if she is going to live upstairs. We thought their rooms were okay but they didn't have a kitchen area in anything that we saw. They showed us an apartment and a studio and they were basically just rooms with a bathroom. There were spaces in them too like a wide long hallways, which to me, was kind of a waste of space. Another thing we had with them was that they had no transportation. My mother-in-law is on dialysis and they didn't have any transportation that they could take her. I would definitely suggest that because that is an important thing, it is for doctor's appointments.

Mom says the food at The Hampton at Pearland is really good. It's a great facility and mom is making friends that first day that she was there. Her room is big enough for her and easy for her to move with her walker or wheelchair including the bathroom. The staff are very friendly.

The Hampton at Pearland looked like a very nice facility and kind of secluded because it's not on the freeway, but tucked into a neighborhood. The people there were very nice. I visited the Hampton at Pearland and for me it was pricey, but the facility is really nice and clean. I would really like to put my dad in there. It looks like the people are being treated nice there. They have a studio apartment with a kitchenette and it's a medium room. When I went there they were doing some recreational activities. I really like this place.

We chose Hampton at Pearland for my mom because it is two minutes from my house. My mom isn't there yet. Everything looks beautiful. It is an assisted living but eventually it will have a unit for Alzheimer's care. This is convenient for us because my mom has Alzheimer's, so with this feature, she wouldn't have to move again when she gets worse. There is no negative feedback at all except that it is expensive. They have different sizes of apartments. They have studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, whatever you want. Their apartments are clean and have hardwood floors. I spoke to some of the residents and every one of them were very nice. They said that they wouldn't leave had they had the a chance to leave. There is a camaraderie amongst the residents, like all the ladies seem to be very close and they are taking care of each other. That's what I want for my mom, a close-knit group of friends. When I get there, they were all going to play bingo. I also know that they go shopping once or twice a week. Sometimes they go out to dinner together. I saw their calendar and it was pretty full. Each cottage has their own activities coordinator.

Hampton at Pearland was a very pleasant facility. We were greeted there very well. They priced this facility beautifully, which was a good idea. The tour was very informative. The residents that were there during our visit were active in the activity and seemed to be enjoying themselves. However, you have to travel to different buildings for different activities. This meant that during the winter times or rainy days, you have to go out in the weather. There was no other way to go from one building to another. That was a negative for us because we don't want to see my mom out in the weather especially if she has a falling condition.

The Hampton was clean and open. I spent one on one time with the residents in the assisted living side and the alzheimers side as well as eating a noon meal (in an unannounced visit). They accomodated us nicely in a guest eating area with our friends so we could be connected but still have privacy, the meals were portioned well as to give the residents enough but not over feed them in relation to the lifestyle that comes with older age and assisted living. The rooms were a nice size the outside surroundings were well kept as well as the exterior of the building and the parking lot. It was located in a quiet area not to far off of a main street making it accessable but secluded lending to a feeling of peace and security. I spoke with several residents and they seemed to enjoy scheduled activities such as ice cream hour and others. The staff were friendly and the residents seemed to respond well to them. There was also a nice ratio of staff to residents with the staff giving full attention to the residents in detail and with smiles.

We were absolutely very warmly welcomed there. The staff and the manager were very helpful. I felt comfort when I toured the place. The residents there looked content to me. I think they offered us cookies when we went there, but I didn't get to taste it. It was so nice of them. Sure, I would recommend the facility. It's clean and was very organized. I like that residents don't have to travel far from their rooms because each unit has a kitchen and I thought that one's really nice. The units were really great. However, my in-laws needed a little bit more care, so this other place would provide them the level of care they need.

This is a different type of setup. It's a larger facility, but it's made up of smaller two-story cottage buildings. There is security "“ you have to check in at the main office when you enter the grounds. There's an executive director on site, plus nurses and other staff. They encourage the residents and families to participate in their activities. They use visiting physicians and have home health available to their residents. The area is good "“ it's nestled within a neighborhood in Pearland. There is some public transit and some shopping nearby, but they provide residents with transportation. They have a chef, and the food is good. Each one of the Hampton facilities has a chef on staff and good food. There are lots of fruits and vegetables, and they customize the food to the resident's liking. The residents' rooms are large. They're able to bring in their own furnishings and customize their apartments. It's a higher-end facility, and therefore a little pricier. The staff is very nice. A lot of the staff has been there for a long time, and the staff seems to be enjoying their job. They're always happy and always helpful.
