My sister has moved into Dogwood Trails Assisted Living & Memory Care. I like the size of the facility. The nursing staff seems good. The rooms are really large and nice, and that's the main thing. We think the care is going to be good there, too. My sister got a hospital bed. She got a room for a lamp and two chairs. And there is still more room if we want to put something else in there. Her bathroom is really large with built-in places for her medical stuff, her towel, and that sort of thing. It's just really, really nice. They're getting ready to enlarge it. But right now, in memory care, they only have 10 to 12 occupants there. The dining room is right outside my sister's room. The food seems to be fine. We're happy with it. It's a very nice facility. It is very clean and pretty. The administrator was nice. She helped us a lot. We were there yesterday, and the nursing staff we met were nice, too. They come in and talk to my sister. They seem very friendly. They check her out and make sure she's okay that she's clean and all that. So far, we're happy with them. Value for money is very good, too.

I went to Dogwood Trails Assisted Living & Memory Care. I think it's probably more care than I require at this time. But for the type of care the general patient needed, I thought it was good. The rooms looked very standard to me for people needing quite a bit of assistance or having difficulty with their memory. It would be something somebody at a higher level of function would want to be in. But if you were needing a lot of care, I think it would be the right size. I thought the facility was clean, and the employees were friendly.

I've toured Dogwood Trails Assisted Living & Memory Care. They have activities, their room layout was well done, and the place was extremely clean. The person who gave the tour was very knowledgeable. The facility was very clean and very nice, they have a microwave and a full-sized refrigerator. They have a courtyard that's accessible to the residents.

Dogwood Trails Assisted Living & Memory Care was very clean and very pleasant. The rooms were really nice. The staff that we met was very helpful. The rooms were very home-like. The layout was very appropriate, easy to get into, easy to get out, and nothing complicated. The rooms were good enough for the person that has problems like that. We went through the cafeteria. They were eating. Everybody was nice. There were some people that were watching TV. They were like in a theater room or something like that, and they were, "Come on and sit here with us." The cafeteria was very open with easy access. That's my main thing that it's easy access, and not to get confused to where my husband needs to go. Everything was really clean. I took him with me, and I said, "Honey, what do you think of this place?" He said, "It's OK. I love it." Because he's a very clean person, he said, "It's so clean." It is very pretty also. They're up to date. I like it, and that's one of my considerations. It's pretty close to what we're looking for. I didn't see a pool, but I saw a terrace area, which was very pretty. They have kind of like a theater where a lot of people sit there, like you're in the movies. Because my husband is very sociable, that was good. They also had a patio. You can go out to the patio and that was also very pleasant. They have just remodeled it.

My brother will be moving into Dogwood Trails. We were impressed with the facility, and the price is better than the other location that we attended. The food looked great. They gave us menus and I talked to one of the residents. He said the food there is excellent, and he's been a long-term resident there. The staff and everyone we met there was very cordial and very professional. They were impressive. It was bright and clean, and there were no oppressive odors you have in some of these places. It was very nice. I was exceptionally impressed. The aroma near the kitchen was excellent. The food is hand prepared and fresh, so there's no packaging or cans. It looked like the staff was maintaining everything well.

I thought Dogwood Trails is a really great place. The woman who was the director was really amazing, and all the nurses and everyone else were really kind and attentive. It was a really nice place. The apartment was clean, and everything necessary was available to the residents there. The dining area had snacks that were available for everyone, and they serve three meals a day.
