I went to Mount Pleasant Assisted Living today to see about placing my parents I entered into what they call the core building where the Administrators office was and I was literally shocked at how filthy it was the floors look like they haven’t been mopped I a long time there was food allover the floors in the dining area the restrooms where so nasty .There was a lady cleaning the women’s restroom and I asked if she was the Administrator she said no they she was had brought her mom to the beauty shop but the restroom was so nasty she had to clean it before she could use it there was no toilet tissue or hand soap . I have always heard how nice and clean the place was that my parents would love it well after what I say today I will be looking elsewhere. And I got there at 130 and the administrator was still not back from lunch I asked the lady in the kitchen if she’s be back soon she said she should be back anytime she’s been going since before noon so I waited awhile longer and she never showed so I left . I was really disappointed in the facility.

Mt. Pleasant Assisted Living was fine. I couldn't see anything bad about it. It was clean and neat. It looked like an apartment and did not appeal to me. I had no problem with the person who helped me during the tour. The dining area was nice. They were cooking the meal at the time that I went by there and everything looked really good. There weren't many activities there.

They take very good care of my dad. He says the food is great and the people are helpful. We like knowing that he is safe and looked after by kind caretakers. :)

My sister is happy at Pleasant Springs. She is comfortable in her room. They have activities for their patients. Someone would come in for singing and worship. They have pretty good food, well balanced meals. They would bring the food to the ones in their rooms and the ones that are able can go to the dining room and they are served. They have changed ownership the first of the year. Right now, they're understaffed. Also they could do some better on the nursing staff. They have one or two good housekeepers but the others just ride the clock.

Mt. Pleasant Assisted Living is a pretty neat place. It's located in a small town and the residents there still feel that small town connection. It's apartment style living, where residents receive visits from home health care providers, ride a bus to their appointments and Wal-mart and eat dinner community style. My parents are enjoying the freedom of not cooking, getting their laundry done and their house cleaning too The. staff is warm and friendly.

I take my mother to MP Assisted Living when I need to go out of town & know the trip will be harder on her. They have several buildings (small cottages) for full timers & occasional visitors. My mom is in early severe Alzheimer's and they appear to be very good with her (altho she can't tell me so), but she doesn't object to going there & I think she would if she wasn't treated well!
