I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

With a just a few tweaks this place could be a five star facility. I’m really not one to complain but I want my mom well cared for. Just two things would have made me happy. Comfortable beds and decent food served warm. Nursing staff was really trying but I think they are understaffed. The dinner on her last night was served cold and wasn’t even that edible according to mom. Even a nurse agreed about the food. I laid on her bed for two minutes and I was getting back problems and I don’t have a bad back or anything . 3 things better food , better mattress and hire more staff and it’s an easy 4 to five star facility

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

The facility is very nice and clean. Most interactions are wonderful, but there is little or none, follow thru on requests or services that are needed for services in the room. What you ask one person for, if someone else has to complete it, they are not informed, or at least say they didn't know about it. Hold times on phone are LONG if answered. But other than those issues, the staff is very nice and polite. Do not see the doctors much and they do not call the family when requested. Still waiting on a call from a few weeks ago. I am not there when the Dr comes, but I don't know when he is there so I can come up then.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother resides in the Mont Belvieu nursing facility. Every single time I call and talk to Sylvia I ask her to please transfer me to the nurses station or an aids station down my mom's hallway. I am either put on eternal hold or I give her a message to have someone walk into my moms room and call my number because mom has parkinsons and can't dial on her own. I NEVER get a call back EVER. I need to speak to someone other than Sylvia.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My grandparents are in Mont Belvieu Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center which is also a Medicaid-approved facility. The overall facility is very nice; it's a new facility. Any of the staff that we've met has been extremely helpful and very nice. But the negative feature is that they are understaffed. Being a newer facility that opened up during COVID, you can tell that there are a lot of growing pains that they are working through. They're trying to expand and get more patients, and then with more patients, means they have a hiring uptake on there. Right now, they have a few logistics that they're trying to work out, as well as that staffing issue. I know from my grandparents that the first few weeks that they were there, they were very impressed with all the food. But recently, they have not been, and I'm not sure why that has been or if there has been a new chef or something. But I will say that it's declined since they first got there. There's a pond that's next door to the nursing home, and they had volunteers that come out there to bring the residents fishing on that pond. They had some options in terms of activities including a band that played in the facility.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My sister came from another nursing home in the nearby community. After 3 different roommates and her being so unhappy, we found Mont Belvieu. This facility is beautiful and is always clean. The layout of the shared rooms give each resident the privacy they need. After 8 months, my sister is still extremely happy in this facility. She looks forward to all the fun activities offered weekly. It’s obvious that every staff member I have met strives for excellence and I appreciate each and every one of them.

I visited this facility

I talked to several people at Mont Belvieu. Everything looked fine. They are very friendly quality people. I was there for a couple of hours. We went through the procedure of everything you have to do, such as wear a mask. It is big enough for 120 people. They have a state-of-the-art therapy gym for physical, occupational, and speech therapy. They take all kinds of insurance like Medicare, Medicaid, Medicaid pending, Humana PPO, and several others. They got quality people.
