My mother is a resident of Senior Care of Midland. They have activities for the residents, although she's not capable of doing them. They also provide three meals a day, and I think their facilities are adequate. One thing they can improve on is when they do something they should communicate it with me, and if they change my mother's medication they need to tell me why and who authorized it. The staff is helpful. I don't have a problem with them.

My husband is in Midland Medical Lodge. It's ok. They're just understaffed and they need more help. They're a little slow getting to where they need to be and do not necessarily respond when he needs help, çause they do have a lot of people. His room is adequate. They do have areas to go visit. He's been there about four or five weeks now. They still have not gotten the approval to even assess his needs. I know they do have some things, he doesn't participate in a lot of them. He's had a pretty bad fall this week and that kind of slowed him down, and another one this morning, not as bad.

if you have a choice of ANYWHERE else go there. My poor mother who was a retired nurse was kicked out cause she was too loud - she had alzheimers! They said she could stay then one day just told us to get her out - she was no trouble and the staff loved her. The lady who runs the place was so horrible and hateful - no compassion at all - the staff was so ashamed of her and hated her - they cried when my mom had to leave! We even offered to pay for a private room at double the rate. My dad had lots of money and could pay for it - only reason we were there was everything else was full - when we told her that she said tough. Other people were heard every day yelling and loud - I think they didnt like my sister was a registered nurse and knew what was going on. We were never rude and we helped with her care. Just want to warn anyone considering it.
