I am/was a resident of this facility

I WAS HERE FOR AFTER CARE FOLLOWING A TOTAL KNEE REPLACEMENT. I STAYED JUST OVER A MONTH AND LOVED MY TIME THERE. VERY CLEAN HOME AND GREAT NURSING CARE. IF ANYONE IS THINKING ABOUT REHAB PLACEMENT YOU SHOULD CHECK THIS PLACE OUT FOR SURE.

Very Professional Staff and administration, attentive to the residents. Great atmosphere and attitudes and very clean facility! Would give more than 5 stars on each one if it was possible!

I am a friend or relative of a resident

Heritage House told us that they were capable of working with Alzheimer’s patients and were really ready to do this and do that, but after three days, they told me I would have to move my dad because it wasn’t working out. I was disappointed because to me, making the move was a big deal and then to tell me three days later I needed to move him again was upsetting because we had just moved him there. I thought the staff members were young, and I wasn’t happy with them. My father is 93 years old, and when I needed help getting him to go to the bathroom, the staff took him, put him on the toilet, walked out, and said, "Call me when you’re done," but he has Alzheimer’s, so he didn’t know how to call him. It was not good. Anything that’s going to be involved in some care, they didn’t seem like they were ready to do it. I wasn’t very happy with them.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

Heritage House was horrible. My friend developed a bedsore there. My first impression was it looked very nice and beautiful. They had a lovely lobby and a really nice cafeteria. The rooms were away from the main desk. However, the care was absolutely awful, and the staff was mean. They were not nice to deal with at all in the business office. I had no idea that she had a bedsore although her medical power-of-attorney was there every day and they never told him about it. I didn't discover it until I went down there after Christmas and the nurse was changing her pad and it just smelled horrible. It was the size of a silver dollar. She was in severe pain. For activities, they move around a ball and had physical therapy. They also had people in to sing and a minister. They had a better recreation room, and the food was pretty good.

My loved one was here for therapy and wound care. The therapy department did an amazing job and the wound care nurse resolved our loved ones issue. Great place for these two things for sure.

I am a friend or relative of resident

Heritage House of Marshall is a great upper scale rehabilitation facility for those recovering from an illness or an accident and seem to not be able to get back on their feet. It is a clean place with a friendly staff. I would recommend it to anyone. I only have one other recommendation is if you order something to be deliverer to the Heritage House make sure that you let the front desk that accepts mail or packages that you are expecting a package. Tell them as soon as it arrives to please notify them immediately. Also, if you or your loved one cannot walk to get your mail or packages tell the front desk to bring it to your room as soon as it is delivered.

My loved one stayed here

I find facility is clean, and without bad odor. Staff is attentive and responsive to resident needs. Staff takes resident preferences and needs into consideration when placing roommates and meeting resident needs. My mother is happy living at Heritage House. Her needs are being met by all members of the staff.
