My dad has moved into Highlands Village Senior Living. There were several reasons why we chose them, and one, which is an important thing, is proximity to my sister, who is going to help check in on Dad. It was one of the one-story places that we were looking at, and for security reasons that was important to us. It's a relatively new facility, so it's very clean and very bright. And on our visits the residents and the staff both seemed very happy to be there. I think that was the combination of things that made us land on that one. My dad is in one of the smaller apartments, but it is very clean. They did a nice job in preparing it for him. It comes with internet and cable, so it is very conducive to settling in quickly with things that are provided directly by Highlands Village. They have a beautiful, secured courtyard area. They have a movie theater for the residents. They have a library and a garden room. They have several nice visiting areas for family or friends to come visit. They have a nice separate facility for activities, and another room for physical therapy. There's quite a bit going on there.

Highlands Village was nice, really new, and clean. The rooms were small. The staff was very helpful and willing to negotiate. They really wanted to get my business, and they were very nice. The facility was nice and large. It was mealtime when I was there, so they were eating. The only reason I didn't go with them is because I was afraid my mom would need a higher level of care than what they could give like in about two or three months, and then I would have to move my mom again.

I would definitely give Highlands Village five out of five stars. They were able to find an outpatient therapy facility once my father left the hospital, and they were able to put us in a rented room until we could get his belongings moved there. Whenever he was released from the hospital, we actually were allowed to come back there with hospice care. They made everything so incredibly easy for us, and they're so incredibly helpful. I cannot say enough good things about that facility, and my father loves it there. Unfortunately, when my father went to the hospital the first time, he was not able to return back to his own home because of his physical condition, and they made the transition from the hospital to their facility basically seamless. I don't know of any way they could have done anything any better than they have and continued to do for him. I haven't eaten the food there, but he really likes it.

This is a very clean newer facility. The staff is very attentive to my parents. The building itself is much brighter and airier than most other facilities.

I visited Highlands Village with my mom, who just moved in. Regardless of our budget, there's not a doubt in my mind that Highlands is the best decision we could have made. The entire staff from exec to cleaning staff they are ALL warm, genuine, caring and highly qualified. The facility is new, opened during COVID so get in while you can. The bldg is light and bright and tastefully decorated. The food is fantastic and they have many options to choose from when dining. The residents are happy and eager to participate in activities, which only reaffirms my comments. The residents are friendly and engaging, and have welcomed my mom in as if they were all old friends. It was a difficult decision to move her out of her home and all she's ever known, but she LOVES Highlands! I cannot say enough about the staff and the wonderful experience we've had. All of this, and they were the most reasonably priced too!
