My mom moved into Brookdale Mansfield. It's a nice place. The food is good. The rooms are good. Her room doesn't have a carpet. It's got a bathroom, lights, a sink, a refrigerator, and a microwave. The staff members are friendly. I've eaten there a couple of times, and the food's pretty good. They play bingo, play the piano, and throw a ball around. They offer plenty of activities. It's a little on the expensive side. We're paying for extra things, like dressing, bathing, and whatnot.

We visited Brookdale Mansfield. It's a smaller community and there are only 37 rooms. It's very secure. It had activities. They had a small formal dining room where all the residents ate and it had a large room for activities with big-screen TVs. She told us that men who lived there during baseball season gathered in the community room. They watch it, make popcorn and hotdogs, and just make it like they were at the game. Gracie, the executive director, is the one who showed us around. She's very knowledgeable about VA benefits. They were offering a promotion. She made sure she brought up the promotion where we could save $1,000 a month and it's not for one month, it's for the duration of the stay.

Brookdale Mansfield was a nice facility, but a little dated. The rooms were average, but a little older, so it wasn't as nice and new as some of the other ones. Upkeep was good though. The staff was very nice, very informative, and tried to help me find a place for my mom. They had a community patio, which was nice, as well as a nice dining area. They also had games, activities, parties, and outings.

During our visit to Brookdale Mansfield, we were impressed with that particular lady that showed us around and gave us the information. She's been good enough to help us. She was the one who directed us over to the other Brookdale. So, she's been helpful and stayed in contact for some time. It's beautiful and it was an ideal place which I thought was my first choice. But we had to look at other places too. I still think that was the best of the ones I have looked at. They had everything we could ask for. The apartments and there were two different units we looked at, were ideal as far as the layout and what we were looking for. It's a 1-story building.

The Brookdale Mansfield tour was fine. We did not choose this place because we thought it was too small and the residents -- they did not have a system of pendants, you know, like little alarm pendants for the residents. They had pull cords in the apartments on the walls. My father-in-law was in the late stages of Parkinson's disease, and when he has fallen, you're not going to be able to crawl to a wall thingie and pull it, he needs a pendant around his neck. And I would think that would be true of most seniors who are only marginally ambulatory. It was an older facility, but it was clean. The staff was friendly. The residents seemed happy. The rooms were small, but we toured the ones that had separate sitting and bedrooms. The prices were quite reasonable. They have crafts, a book club, or bingo, and occasional entertainment that comes in.

I toured Brookdale Mansfield, and I think it's very, very nice. It has a very homelike feeling. They have good activities and nice people. They sat down and wanted to share. It is close to amenities and nice sized room. I thought it was a really, really good choice and is one that I'm steering my parents toward because I'm trying to give them three choices. I have not tried the food, but the lady offered it when I brought my parents that we could try the food.

Having my parents in Brookdale Mansfield has been a great experience, and all of the staff has been very helpful. Definitely, the staff has been great. They have activities provided, and that has been good too; they have participated in three of them so far. They offer a little convenient apartment, a little living space, a little kitchen area and a bedroom, handicap or impaired bathroom, and a closet. I think it's very good. They had a Father's Day dinner and three of the family members could come for that. My mother said that the food is great, my father also said that it's great, and it looks great. There will always be a tiny bit of room for improvement, but I have no complaints. They've welcomed them so openly, and been there for them, and explained things to them and to us, and been very supportive.

We have had an amazing experience with Brookdale Senior Living staff in Mansfield. We toured, interviewed, and sat with the providers and sales manager. I have never felt so much support while searching for a home for our Dad. Ultimately,we had to choose a different facility, however the staff at Brookdale still continues to support us. They have called, visited and guided through hospital stays, rehab searches and remain as friends and strong support for our family. Honesty, integrity and true commitment to the well being of my dad has been their focus. On a personal level, they have ministered to us on many levels. I am happy to endorse the Mansfield community as a very caring, capable and valuable facility among the senior living options !

I had the privilege of visiting this facility back in November of last year when I was looking for a place for my aunt to move to. Mia and her staff made me feel very welcome. The facility was clean and very comfortable. When I left there I felt like I made the right decision to relocate my aunt to her new home at Brookdale Mansfield. My aunt moved in in December 2016 and is still a resident. She loves her new home and have made several friends. She thanks me everyday for making it possible for her to have such a lovely new place to call home. The staff treats her with the best care. Thank you Mia and your staff at Brookdale for your excellence in customer service.

Brookdale Mansfield is the facility our family chose for Mother. We wanted a small home like community. We liked that the facility promotes safety, security and well being but also offers life-enriching programs daily and monthly outings. The food is excellent and they offer several options for special diets. The facility is well maintained inside and outside. When we are not there visiting we have the peace of mind and satisfaction from knowing that Mother is being well cared for. The management and staff is what makes this a wonderful community. We made the right choice.

I did not like Brookdale Mansfield at all. The dining area was first when you come into the building. There was a little living room and dining area. A lot of the residents weren’t very receptive. I tried to speak to some of them, and they were kind of lost. The doors were locked, so you cannot come and go as you please. It would be a place to put someone who was maybe at risk of hurting themselves or had Alzheimer’s. I would never recommend it for someone who just needed care.

I am very happy with Brookdale Mansfield. Everybody seems to be very kind. There always seems to be activities going on, and the place seems to be very well kept. There are 2 living rooms with books that are attached to each other. It had a nice bath area where there's an actual submerged in-bath that they can get into with a door, and I thought that was really nice. But they wanted a long-term stay rather than respite care.

Everything at Brookdale Mansfield was just fine. It was a pleasant place. We had lunch, and it was good. I liked the layout of the smallest type of room they had, which was quite roomy for one person. The dining area looked nice and new. The people were nice, and I liked the manager a lot. She seemed nice. The residents would do exercise routines, go shopping, and go on field trips.

The other place my mother lived in is now called Brookdale Mansfield. It is an assisted living facility and small without a lot of residents. They were helpful and attentive, but most of the residents were more disabled than my mother, so she wasn’t comfortable there. However, she stayed there for a year and got much better and was able to move to independent living, so they must be doing something right. They did provide good care. It’s just that it’s a smaller facility with fewer people. It’s clean and very pleasant, and the staff was very involved and concerned with the residents. I really didn’t have any concerns except that she was functioning higher than most of the other residents.

We found Brookdale Mansfield for my mother-in-law. We chose this place because it was a smaller-sized place. We like the fact that it is very close to our house, so we can go and check to see if things are OK. We also chose them because of the nutritional value of the food, the cleanliness of the establishment, the hominess of it, and also the proximity to her doctor's office. I would recommend them to others.

We did visit Brookdale Mansfield. At this facility, I felt like there were too many that needed too much assistance. My dad is still very active, so this facility wasn't right for him. The people there were too dependent on the facility, e.g., they were in wheelchairs and walkers; they were a lot more dependent than my dad is. They showed me a studio apartment. It was fine. It was sufficient. I think they play cards and dominoes. They did say they would take Dad to the doctors, and they would take him shopping on a certain day. Then they have some field trips.

Brookdale Mansfield was a much bigger place. Their food looked good and nice, but my mother was a Type 2 Diabetic, so she had to have special meals, and I think they provided that. They had all sorts of activities as well. Their rooms were very nice. It was a nice facility, but it just did not meet our needs.

Sterling House of Mansfield was nice. It had a nice homey feel to it. The staff was good, and it seemed to have pretty much all the amenities and everything. I think it was a bit smaller and there weren't quite as many people. They seemed to have adequate staff, and those that we met were friendly and helpful. They had an exercise room with some equipment. They were built around a courtyard where you can go out and sit or walk around if the weather is nice. They had a nice-looking dining area, and I think people had the option of picking up their food at the counter or somebody bringing it to them.

My visit at Sterling House of Mansfield was OK. In terms of cleanliness, for the time we were there, it looked OK. It was clean and all that. Definitely, there was no problem there. However, my first impression was that it was too small of a facility. Also, their accommodations were just average. It wasn't anything better than what my parents have now. There also wasn't enough as far as activities. We didn't get a good feel from the moment we walked in there. We had to wait quite a while before someone came to greet us. Overall, I just didn't have a good feeling for it. It just didn't fit what I thought would be best for my parents' needs.

I really liked the people and the management at Sterling House and the food was very good. They had a very nice outdoor area that was enclosed where people could sit around. They had activities like bingo, sit and be fit and exercises. But the room was too small for us that I couldn't sit in the chair with my husband in his wheel chair.

My mother has been a resident at Sterling House for 2 years now and I could not be more pleased. The staff is very caring and attentive to her needs. They are always willing to help. Mother enjoys the food and loves "her girls" who take care of her. The administrators are very accessible and the activity director is wonderful. This is a great place if you are looking for assisted living.

My mom has been a resident of Sterling House since January, 2013 and needs extensive care every day. Her needs have been met beyond what I expected. The staff cares for her with gentle loving care and have a real compassion for meeting her needs. My mom is 92 years old and I have no concerns that she is not given good care. The entire staff, from the director on down, is very compassionate. The room and the entire facility is kept very clean and any repairs required are promptly dealt with. I am so delighted that someone recommended Sterling House for a new home for my mom

it was a difficult decision to move my mother from independent care to assisted living the key personnel at Sterling have helped tremendously by giving me feedback, helping my mom to adjust and feel at home. This has been a great decision.

Before coming to Sterling House, my mother was extremely reluctant to leave the home she'd had for 40 years. However, she had become much less capable of taking care of herself to the point we were seriously concerned. She had always been a social person with a love of friends and good conversation, yet here she was, almost a prisoner in her own home without the ability to drive or even leave the house for sometimes days at a time. Unfortunately, it was a severe illness that finally caused her to realize she needed help to maintain her independence. We found Sterling House to be the perfect fit for her. The staff are friendly and caring. The facility is clean and well maintained. She has privacy or socialization as she desires, and best of all, her new home is close to family and friends. We've seen her stay involved in the various activities Sterling House provides and she LOVES the "Family Night" events! We couldn't be more pleased at our choice and we know she's living a much fuller life. Thank You!

My loved one has been a resident for about a year. . Things have been delicate and not always perfect. . But the staff at all levels-especially the management and director have demonstrated their greatest concern is with the care. .dignity. . .safety. . .respect . .of my loved one. . I couldn't ask for anything more at this critical time in my loved ones life! We appreciate Sterling House and all they stand for . . The management has also shown integrity and collaboration with the family for the best care. . Thank you!

My mom has been a resident of Sterling House of Mansfield for nearly 3+ years. I had looked at several facilities and even home care providers. Sterling House was inviting, warm and my Mom is so very comfortable there. The staff all the way from the Director to the nurses to the Chef care about the well being of each resident. I would recommend this place to anyone.

My family was looking for an assisted living facility for my grandfather when we came across Sterling House of Mansfield. As soon as we walked in the door we felt welcome.Their establishment was kept up well and seemed very sanitary, and all of the residents we saw while we were there seemed to like it there. There rooms looked nice and inviting to anyone who walked by, while all of the staff were extremely friendly and nice. They made my grandfather feel welcome before he was a resident and I have no doubts that he would have felt just as welcome if he had stayed. In the end we could not stand the thought of only seeing our grandfather when we came to visit him at his new home so we wound up taking care of him ourselves. Over all this is a great establishment and I would recommend it to anyone who asked

I loved this assisted living provider! This facility is fantastic and the staff is really personable. This facility is one of the cheaper ones and it was near my home so going there to volunteer was very easy to do. This place makes many of the people there feel like home. Home is what we all want and this place is perfect for anyone who needs to live in an assisted living community. Another aspect I liked about this facility was that the food here is delicious! After volunteering for a few hours a staff member treated me to the delectable food that they were serving. Also, the grounds of this facility were nicely manicured. This makes many of the people living there want to sit outside and just feel a nice cool breeze and the scenery. This place is fantastic because it makes the people there feel independent, but also the support of assisted living if they need assistance.

It was a little bit cheaper and closer to my house. Sterling House is a one-story building, built in kind of a circular shape. In the middle there's a patio where they could walk around. Mom loves the food there, she has a very nice apartment. The staff was really good, they take my mother out, they take them shopping, they come and get her at every meal and make sure that she's coming down to eat. They're just very good. I think she loves it, but she doesn't like being in Texas because she's from Ohio. She just doesn't like being away from her friends.

We went to visit the Sterling House of Mansfield assisted living facility while visiting places for our aunt. The grounds were impeccably well tended and there was plenty of space for the seniors to really enjoy the outdoors in a safe fashion. There were many places for seniors to enjoy socializing in a variety of ways, plus for quiet reading, enjoying TV, playing games in well designed and comforting rooms. The furnishings were homey, attractive and warm. We could see various levels of ambulation and it appears that the staff adjusts to whatever each resident requires. The resident's private living spaces were all decorated by the seniors or their familes, to assure the most comforting environments "“ all bright with plenty of fresh air. The casual dining rooms had very comfortable and attractive furniture. The formal dining rooms are available for residents to reserve for private affairs with friends and family "“ and also for facility gatherings. The menu foods included an appetizing variety of offerings found in nicer restaurants. They can also make any dish requested. They change the menus frequently for the best variety. Every dish is made according to the dietary needs of residents. The snacks are always offered throughout the day and looked very appetizing and nutritious. They are also available at any time the residents request them. The residents take many fun trips into town and the cities nearby "“ to enjoy casual and restaurants, art museums, galleries, libraries, shopping, culture and other events. Seniors are encouraged to use the fitness room for yoga and aerobics classes, as well as to use the equipment. They can also watch fitness shows on TV or play DVDs as they like, which is a nice added bonus. Residents also can get plenty of exercise outside due to the mild climate of Texas. The staff and residents go on regular walks around the grounds to enjoy the natural beauty of the community. It was clear to us that the care level at this facility offers very understanding and attentive caregivers and nursing staff "“ always with the best care of its residents in mind.
