My husband has been a resident at Bender Terrace Memory Care for the past four months. He is in a small private room. He is taken very well care of. The nurses and aids as well as all the office staff are very friendly and welcoming. The facility is very old and nothing fancy, but it is clean. My husband is always clean, his hair looks nice, his beard is trimmed, and he is in clean clothes every time I go see him. He is very content there.

From what we saw, everybody was very well-cared for there. They seem to enjoy the place. As much as what anybody could enjoy a nursing home and I guess at that age, once I become familiar with it, that's home, and we're hoping that's what's gonna happen with my mother in law when she moves in there. Well, it was my husband's decision because it's his mother. He liked what he saw there. He liked the care that was being given to all the people around and that's what decided him on Bender Terrace. The place is very well lit. They have a lot of activities for the people. We've heard a lot of nice things about it. My real estate agent has a friend whose husband has been in there for like 12 years! And so you don't leave somebody there for 12 years if that facility isn't functioning properly. The fact that everybody is together, it gives the sense of not being there by yourself. I saw the gentleman who owns it and and he participates in the activities there.

Bender Terrace is a delightful place. When I went with my mom and grandma to visit, looking for a place for my grandmother, we were thrilled. It has a warm, friendly feeling all about it. We felt it would be something my grandma could grow into, and still keep a feeling of being independent as well. It is in a good area in Lubbock, well maintained and quiet. I really liked that they had transportation available to the residents, and also housekeeping services, activities, and meals could be included. Even though we did go with another place, this is certainly one to consider.
